New Ballpark Name
I'll just be referring to it as "at home" or "the park". It's a terrible name with no easy nickname. Take the money, and let that be the end of it.

Alec Hansen thread
Hansen was once thought of as a 1-1 guy. He's succeeding at a level that he's too good for, but he is succeeding, so no reason not to be optimistic. The easy thing to do with every prospect is wait until they're dominating at AA, but that's no fun.

Mariners blowing a late lead. One game back in the 2nd wc. Crusher if they don't come back. Give up 4 in the 9th. Lose 7-6. Gut punch.

8/21 games
Wow, that's great. Hope this guy is for real and stays healthy. Could just fly through the system next year.

Aaron Sanchez sent down. It's time for baseball to get creative in regards to roster rules.

White Sox vs. the Philadelphia/Kansas City/Oakland Athletics
More likely- Sale 20 wins or Shields 20 losses? I know!

QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 19, 2016 -> 09:43 PM) I'm buying into theory they want to replace Robin with Renteria but don't want to do it now and see team play awful under him the rest of the way Yeah, probably true. Once the Sox won 3 of 4 in Boston, it was over making a change (even though they blew the last game).

White Sox vs. the Philadelphia/Kansas City/Oakland Athletics
Still 25% of the season left. Robin can still go now as far as I'm concerned.

8/19 Games
Good start for Holmberg. And Leury is at .346. How has he not made it up once with all of the injuries this year?
-
8/19 Games
Adams was moved up to AA for no apparent reason. I kind of put him and Michalczewski in the same boat...young for the level, so let's see how they do there next year and not worry about it too much.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Aug 19, 2016 -> 08:30 PM) If you were a DBacks fan I think you would say the same thing. So bottom five is good enough?

Shields can't be with the Sox in February. He's toast.

QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 19, 2016 -> 07:54 PM) I wonder how Hahn will try to blame KW for acquiring Shields I don't know how we're supposed to know what's going on behind the scenes one way or the other. One thing we know is Rick Hahn doesn't have autonomy when it comes to building this roster. Take Kenny out of the equation, then you can blame Hahn all day long.

Lawrie getting closer, Avila not
Just looked at the Birmingham lineup and Lawrie isn't there.

8/19 Games
Agreed. Bad year for Fulmer. He's more suspect than prospect. In my humble opinion, his whole delivery needs to be broken down and built back up if he's ever going to be a 32 start, 200 inning guy. I don't see that now at all.

Lawrie getting closer, Avila not
Lawrie back in the Barons lineup according to Hayes.

8/19 Games
One inning for Fulmer and his night is ova.

It's that time of year again...2016 edition
The Sox just finished 17 of 20 away from the Cell. They went 7-13. Home 29-26 Road 28-37 26 left at home (I'll say 14-12) 16 left on the road (6-10) 27 games left in the division. (12-15) 15 outside the division (8-7) 77-85, 11th or 12th
