Ventura on his job status
At the very least, a serious conversation has to happen tomorrow...if it hasn't happened already. If they're worse than 23-26 at the end of May, he gone.

Why should Robin Ventura have a MLB manager job
QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ May 2, 2015 -> 08:13 PM) Gardenhire seems to be the flavor of the month since fathom started saying it. What ever happened to Dave Martinez ? Everybody was hot for him at one time when he was Maddons bench coach. He's still Maddon's bench coach. Gardenhire would be exactly what you want in an interim manager. He gets back into managing, and if the fit works, you give him a 2-year contract.

5/2 - White Sox vs Twins
QUOTE (Butter Parque @ May 2, 2015 -> 05:12 PM) Entire Coaching staff needs to go. That includes Coop. Buddy Bell also needs to go. Entire minor league staff needs to go. You cant go over a decade without developing a position player and expect to keep your job. This is like clown college. And then you look up...and there's Kenny and Jerry sitting there, watching the 05 DVDs.

Sox road woes
And the last 5 weeks of the season are just like the first 5 weeks of the season....8 series in the division. So even if they play good ball through August, what do you expect the Sox to do the last 32 games? They better be 72-58 by then just to have a shot to go 88-74. And they'd still have to go 16-16, which seems impossible against these teams.

Sox road woes
QUOTE (Lillian @ May 2, 2015 -> 04:38 PM) They are now 8 and 13. To make the Wild Card, it will probably take around 88 wins. They need to go 80 and 61, the rest of the way. How many of you think that they're capable of accomplishing that? They would need get hot-- immediately. As in, win tomorrow, take 2 out of 3 from Detroit, then sweep Cincy. If they play the first 28 at 11-17, that's a hole I don't seem them coming back from.

When's the last time a Sox team played 7 games without a homer?

5/2 - White Sox vs Twins
QUOTE (Butter Parque @ May 2, 2015 -> 04:20 PM) Sorry, I seem to like Rick Hahn's moves when they are initially completed, but he bares a helluva lot of responsibility for this mess. Shark is terrible, Gillaspie is terrible, Flowers is terrible, Danks & Noesi suck, the bench stinks, Rodon is being handled horribly... He'll take blame because that's what GMs do. But I still like him and think he's a smart GM. That said, he needs a new manager, and his team president and owner need to allow him to do that.
