  1. On the Sox game, they would have been better off announcing this morning the new game time is 5pm.
  2. Leury Garcia CF, Gordon Beckham 2B, Alexei Ramirez SS, Adam Dunn 1B, Jeff Keppinger DH, Dayan Viciedo LF, Jordan Danks RF, Josh Phegley C, Marcus Semien 3B
  3. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 15, 2013 -> 12:53 PM) Which garcia? The one that matters.
  4. Garcia scratched. Baby coming.
  5. Maybe Sale gets three more great starts, and makes the Cy interesting. Konerko sits today. Danks and Semien in there.
  6. Last 11 vs Cleveland. No wins. Outscored 83-38.
  7. Johnson 3-4. Lost. Game 5 tomorrow night.
  8. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Sep 14, 2013 -> 08:53 PM) So was I. Great ending to that one. Tying run thrown out at the plate in the bottom of the 9th. I wouldn't mind seeing KC nab a wild card spot. That pick by Salvador Perez was sweet.
  9. 2-1 Mobile, 5th Micah 2-2, run stole 2nd, stole 3rd, Thompson ground out rbi
  10. http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?g...ox&sid=milb Snodgress goes in Game 4. Don't pull a 2012 Reds.
  11. Orioles lose too. Could turn into a 2 of 3 from Texas, Tampa Bay, and Cleveland.
  12. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Sep 14, 2013 -> 04:03 PM) Screw that, call in and plead with Rick to go sign Cano and Abreu and Ellsbury! Add McCann to that while you're at it.
  13. Rienzo vs Jimenez Dunn sits. Gillaspie DH. Semien 3B. A's beat the Rangers again. Yankees lost. Rick Hahn taking calls on WSW at 5pm.
  14. http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?g...ox&sid=milb Going for the sweep.
  15. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Sep 13, 2013 -> 05:03 PM) I'll take it! Glancing at the standings, it also looks like the 2nd pick is very possible. And Houston's won 3 straight, so who knows? If the Sox match last year's last 15 games at 4-11, the Marlins would have to go 9-8 starting tonight. I guess stranger things have happened, but we pretty much have the 3rd pick locked up. 1st pick isn't happening.
  16. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Sep 13, 2013 -> 04:50 PM) Isn't it 62-101 now? 58-89 this year, plus finishing last year at 4-11.
  17. Last 162 games: 62-100 But remember--we're not that far away.
  18. Ventura will be back, won't renew after 2014, and never interview for a managerial job again.
  19. If the Sox lose tomorrow, Robin Ventura will have managed his last 162 games at 62-100.
  20. Beck- 6 innings, 6 hits, 2 runs, 1 er, 1 bb, 4 k Micah 2-4 Thompson HR Barons up 3-2, top 8.
  21. http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?g...ox&sid=milb Game 2- Beck vs Holmberg 1-0 Mobile, 2nd
  22. The home and home series with the Cubs is also good for what they call "squeeze week". They pretty much need a week where they have two 2-game series and a 3-games series. It's better to use one close team than two different teams. And of course you're getting better attendance for a weekday series in May. It makes sense. Just for scheduling purposes, I wish they played the Cubs six games. Not for hype or bragging rights or anything like that, but just to keep the Sox in town more. More games in the same time zone. With season long interleague play, it would be cool once every ten years to play the Cubs on Opening Day or finish the season against them. It would be something new.
