  1. Alright, this game is over in a few minutes. C'mon boys.
  2. Avila kills us in these situations. Expecting a walk off.
  3. A lot of nice comments for Jim Leyland on Twitter.

    Dunn...

QUOTE (TaylorStSox @ Aug 4, 2013 -> 02:18 PM) I wouldn't move him unless we got some real value. 15 mil off the books is value...at least to me.
  5. Damn you , De Aza. You can't even lose right.
  6. Anderson 2-4, double
  7. Three singles, a walk, and a wild pitch...and don't score. That's awesome.

  9. The Sox have never lost every game of a road trip that was 7 games or longer. Today is the day.
  10. Wanna see Garcia's homer? http://www.milb.com/multimedia/vpp.jsp?con...05&sid=t494
  11. QUOTE (Marty34 @ Aug 3, 2013 -> 09:48 AM) Kiley McDaniel thinks it's a two player draft right now, Hoffman and Rodon, noticeable drop-off beginning at #3. That will probably change I would think. 55 games left, if the Sox play .400 ball (22-33), they lose 100 games--and I think that gets them #2. Marlins would have to go 19-35 to lose 100, which could happen, but they just went 30-24 the middle 54 games, so they are improving.
  12. QUOTE (GreenSox @ Aug 3, 2013 -> 01:09 AM) May I introduce you to Misters Troncosco, Lindstrom, Veal, and Purcey? Those four guys have a combined ERA of 4.68, and the Sox overall bullpen ERA this year is 4.18. The Astros bullpen ERA is 5.11. As much as I'd like to see the Astros get hot at some point, and the Sox continue to suck, the Sox aren't getting the 1st pick. But the good news is the Sox have a very good shot at the 2nd pick...and that might be a better position to be in. The Astros will take Rodon because he's awesome and they need pitching. And the Sox will take the best offensive player, which is ok with me.
  13. Astros bullpen is getting them the #1 pick.
  14. Astros-Dominguez rbi double in the 9th. 3-2 Stros. Uh oh, dreaded lead off walk.
  15. Garcia, 3-4, HR, BB, 2 runs, 4 RBIs Not bad.
  16. Since the Sox were 24-24, they have gone 16-43. In those 59 games--Sale, Danks, Quintana, Santiago, and Rienzo have made 47 starts, and their ERA is 3.62. Peavy and Axelrod made 12 starts with a 7.39 ERA, but the current 5 have been wasted like no other staff.
  17. 55 left. 16-39 with two losses to Houston might get it done.
  18. Giddy up. Is Semien forcing errors with his speed, or just bad defense?
  19. QUOTE (Jake @ Aug 2, 2013 -> 07:13 PM) Another great play from Semien, ranging over the middle and making a tough throw on the run If a team wanted to pick up Alexei off waivers, and the Sox got nothing back, I'd be happy with that. Get this kid up and bring some new energy.
  20. Semien single, Garcia walk, Ishikawa triple. September lineup.

  22. I noticed his home/road splits as well. The Charlotte schedule for his time there will be 13 home/19 road. It would be nice if he could develop into a 3B considering Beckham, Johnson, Sanchez, and Anderson are in the system.
  23. Somebody on Twitter is saying Barnum got a concussion at the play at the plate.
