I think I like boring. I want announcers to basically be background noise so I can watch the game and not pull my hair out. So I’m left watching mostly on mute…or not watching at all. I know I’ll never like Benetti and I’ve thought Stone is annoying for like 38 years now.

They tend to continue to suspend players that break rules. If the first stupid thing he did was flip the bird, it probably would have been a fine. Maybe he should just stop himself before messing up.

The way I read it, he’s paid for the time he’s on the big league roster this season. He also has a May 15, opt out.

If his tenure in a Sox uniform is four or five May starts, so be it. Give him a shot until Lynn is ready.

For this team, in its post-rebuild window, not making the playoffs and falling short of the ALCS is the same thing to me. I’d take La Russa being replaced next year.

The whole major league product is pretty sucky right now. Just have to hope they get their fair share of wins over the first 40-50 games, and then get healthy and start dominating. But there’s no excuse for making stupid errors and bad base running mistakes.

Looks like they’ll get all three games in this weekend. Might have a big storm tomorrow afternoon, but they’ll have dry hours too. Wind is going to suck. Gotta communicate on those pop ups.

Looks like upper 50s during the game. Rain may be around early. The next week looks like: rain delays/windy in Minnesota, and then back to cold at home vs the Royals. Pretty bad start to the season, but no excuses.
