  1. Well, there was grindiness. By grindiness - like awesome pitching performance by Jake. 8 men left on base, only 1 scored, bunts/steals/etc/...all wasted, of course. The...Ozzieball...tried to make us lose... But..the players, they rose up and we won 1-0, anyway with some great ... well, he didn't call in Thornton (but was getting ready to) but let Jake finish his own game so we won. <Still can't f***ing score...>

Totally took the game (not sure how Ozzie didn't pry the win from his hands). Also, we still can't f***ing score.
  3. That part (K rate) shouldn't be much of a surprise, though. It's the production numbers that need to be normal.
  4. Pitched well? He pitched a CG shutout on his 2nd start since his injury. I wish you saw it - flat out awesome. Squandering outs and offense such - you didn't miss much, my friend (as you can plainly see from the majestic "1").
  5. Fine, and I maybe agree with you. What if it's a more premium position like 1B. Danks finally got a W when that happened... I know that's random, but it look like it woke him up and Danks never seems to get run support. Thoughts? I'll hang up and listen to your answer know.
  6. Well, I know I've asked at least once before about that avatar of yours... Seems to me that is far more important than some Chet Kincaid, or what have you.....
  7. That's a hard question to answer. Let's go multiple choice: A: The Cell is a huge park! B: You should insist on a "grindy" sub .350 OBP leadoff. C: Young players have no value (see 1 - ex: B. Anderson) - Mackowiak, Erstad, Swisher, Griffey, etc. OBVIOUSLY better. D: Ozzieball! And, begin.
  8. He sure was great. I hope it's here and here to stay. Sorely needed and that was an inspirational as it can get.
  9. Fellas, fellas.... with our: Team RISP: 1-for-8. Team LOB: 4. And our 1-0, W tonight...... Really, aren't we being a little speculative here? I mean, it was THE Jake Peavy pitching...well, his 2nd start....after his...shoulder muscle like....fell off his bones or something.... last year. Point is: Ozzie engineers GREAT offensive in-game calls, as you can plainly see from these results and the stats. $100M+ payroll, my friends, and a flourishing system just waiting....Hell Yes! I prolly don't need to remind you of Dallas McPherson's scorching single up the middle last night..... F*** the haters who don't see this. I trust this settles all doubts/questions regarding our 90Ws, eventual winning of the Pennant, Title, etc. Love, Greg W.
  10. "We're not going to name him with a closer, title though." /Some dumb Ozzie. "That's ok - I keep going out in the 9th and kicking ass and as long as that happens, they can call me (or not) whatever they want." /Some (awesome) Santos http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago/white-sox/...r-new-job-title Almost 2 weeks ago...
  11. Dunno. Did he?
  12. Wow, no kidding???!!!! That's amazing. What a performance.
  13. He's there; let's see. His to W or L at least...
  14. That's our Ozzie. Setting himself up for the FAIL.
  15. Yeah, right? Why not let Peavy run this out then take that chance?
  16. No kidding. Sure looked as if it should've been easier for Juan to reach... Lilly with the D!
  17. A win is a win. I also never said anything about runs "counting less". This team struggles. Who knows the reasons. But if you think the opponent's pull bold moves on late inning pitching because of "respect", you're out of your mind, especially considering this teams' late innings record (i.e. - Thornton).
  18. Yeah...McCarthy is great in Oakland. Who isn't. Sox did what they need to do? What was that? Oh, I know, score all their runs ($120M HITTING) within the first 2 innings and try to hold on. Yes, they've been playing better. I'm not even sure what you are talking about with your next point.
  19. I wouldn't want the Chicago White Sox to have Jeffrey Marquez anywhere near their starting rotation. At all.
  20. Wow. I love the win, but not sure what you were watching.
  21. So you didn't see the scoring, but you witnessed the failing to score. Is that right, Greg? I'm not harping on anybody but Ozzie. He doesn't pitch. He does put people in to pitch, however, that jeopardize wins. But you have to...y'know....WATCH. to see how that transpires. Whatever - do/think what you want, I don't care. Some people watch the whole thing.
