I never thought I would say this...But the Bartolo Colon addition has been a bust. This is easily his worst year in the last 5 atleast. But can we really be surprised...Either pitchers that were good then come to the Sox start to suck... or pitchers who sucked, then leave the sox all of a sudden get good...

Lol@Danny Gagne. But yeah, I think it's comparable. Danny Wright has a great arm and a lot of talent. Maybe closer is the role for him. As we all know Gagne struglled as a starter and now, Well u all know. By the way. Please tell me Rocky f***in Biddle is not 3 in the nl in saves. U gotta be kiddin me. Why do our pitchers always stick it to us when they leave the Sox?

I was reading the daily herald today and it made a pretty good point. Come July 31 if this team is still below .500 7-8 gms back of 1st place u can pretty much take it to the bank that there will be MAJOR changes made to the roster. That means pretty everybody is fair game. And that would pretty much mean the end of the Jerry Manuel era. Once again we have a bunch of teams comin up that we should beat. But as we have painfully found out with this team the last couple years that we can't take ANYBODY AND I MEAN ANYBODY for granted. So lets see how the boys respond. I'm gonna be hopin and prayin.

God I hate the f***in Yankees. I wouldn't be surprised if they dug up Babe Ruth from the grave and resigned him....

I heard something about the Royals makin a run at Juan Gonzalez. I'm a lil worried bout that. Him to go along with the retrun of Sweeny will make them tough. I still can't get over the fact it's mid july and we're still chasing the Royals

I agree with u guys. Cubs lovers r tryin to find anything they possibly can to take away from a great couple days at the cell. The hr derby was great and the actual gm was even better. Now on to the 2nd half of the season...

Sorry soxfan1....Kenny has made to many crappy deals for me to actually believe he thought Loaiza would be this good or even 70% of how good he's been...The only move in the time he's been here that I really give him credit for is The Damaso Marte Trade...

I'm not gonna give kw once ounce of credit for bringing in Loaiza. Nobody and I mean nobody thought Loaiza would be this good. He brought him in to pretty much give Garland and Wright a lil bit more insentive to get better. Anybody who wants to give kw credit has to look no further then the Todd Ritchie deal and the Billy Botch fiasco.

I definitely agree that Barry Bonds has a BIG mouth. But we in Chicago should know better. We've had one of the biggers mouths in the gm the last 5-6 years in Frank Thomas. U don't have to like Bonds as a person but give the man his props. He's no doubt one of the best players ever. And as far as the steroid talk, Nobody will ever be able to prove it. So just let it go. Players should be judged by what they do on the field. PERIOD....

I've always thought for a long time that this guy was one of the most underrated players in the game. He doesn't even get a mention when u talk about top players or even top players at his position. He's a class act who doesn't talk any trash or disrespect anybody. With the Angels World Series run last year and this past all-star break the world has finally gotten a chance to see one of the top players in the game perform...

That's good. Loaiza has been our 1 and only bright spot on this awful season.

I know alot of u guys said I overreacted after that 2nd D-rays loss. And I admit I did. But I better not hear a word from anybody today. For the 1st time in a while i'm actually embarrased to be a Sox fan. I went to the Cubs gm with a friend yesterday and didn't even wanna admit to being a Sox fan. This has clearly been the ROADTRIP FROM HELL. And when we look back on why we didn't make the playoffs we should look to this roadtrip. Losing 2 of 3 to the Rays, getting swept by the Tigers, Then tonight. This team is done. On the bright side though we should see some MAJOR CHANGES. That means good buy Manuel. And hopefully this team will be rebuilt from scratch. It's not put together well. Everybody is fair game at this point. Congradulations to the new al central division champion Royals....

If we can get a 5th starter then I think we should go for it...But if not? Then hey, We can do a hell of a lot worse then Dan Wright. I think he would be great in the pen..He could very well be a future closer. Reminds me a lil of Eric Gagne. He didn't cut it as a starter and then became a breath-taking closer. Dan Wright's got closer stuff. If we could get another reliever that would be great. If we do nothing? that's fine too...Not to many teams in baseball can say they have 4 quality starters let alone 5...And not many teams can say they have a perfect bullpen...

PLEASE SAY THIS ISN'T THE TRADE THAT'S SUPPOSED TO "BLOW OUR MINDS" ?
