Did you think that through? Why trade Lee but not Magglio? If you are going to be rebuilding, why have a $14 million 30 year old. Why not have a cheaper, younger, more productive player (ie CLee). You don't want to sign older, bad players you say. I say sign one, maybe two with expierence to help lead and direct this team. I don't see us getting rid of Koch. I say keep him as our closer. I can easily see him returning to 2002 form. I am not worried about him, yet.

I wrestle for State. We had a tourny at Eastern, left State about 6 am for a 8 am weight-in. Had to sell my ticket too, got $80 bucks for it (could have gotten more, but it was last minute and I didn't want to push it). A bunch of my friends said the game was awful; too crowded, couldn't see, couldn't move, and many drunk kids. I really had no interest in the game today, haven't even seen the highlights yet.

I did, and not just because I go to State.

I never said anything about Magglio for Soriano. I also do not think it would be such a rip off. I would do that trade, but it does come down to money. I would want some younger guys aswell.

We are fan, we do not look at it as management does. Why don't you go buy a team and 'make everything' right. If we traded Magglio and got a ton back, you guys would be estatic. I am all for trading Magglio.

Wait, so who is a fan of which team. There are a few people who never took a side, and are coming out of the woodwork. Perry will not win the Heismen because of the Oregon game, and I knew Edwards was going to be too much for State. Sounds like a good game. I didn't get to see it. I was at a wrestling tournament at Eastern Michigan University, and they would give us updates pretty often. It sounded like State was getting killed.

I don't know that he'd increase attendance, but he'd obviously be an exciting player with unlimited potential to watch. If you moved him to CF, that would open 2B for either Robbie, Miles or Harris. Then you give either Reed/Borchard/Rowand a shot in RF and leave Carlos in LF. Hopefully we can dump Jose at SS and pick up a guy like Eckstein. I'm all for the Soriano for Mags trade if we can pull it off. Eckstein blows. Sorry He's better than Valentin, that's for damn sure. I do agree, no Eckstein.

MIAMI -- One of Cuba's top pitchers defected in an undisclosed country so he can begin playing professionally in the United States, a Cuban exile leader said Friday. Maels Rodriguez and another player, Yobal Duenas, were reported missing by Cuban authorities Saturday. The Miami Herald speculated that the pair might be in El Salvador. "They're safe," said Joe Garcia, executive director of the Cuban American National Foundation. He declined further comment. If the players seek political asylum or residency outside the United States, they most likely will be declared free agents by Major League Baseball and be able to sign with any team. The players' Miami-based agent, Henry Vilar, did not return telephone messages Friday. Rodriguez, a 24-year-old right-hander, is one of Cuba's top pitchers and his fastball is said to regularly top 100 mph. "I want to play the best baseball, and that's in the United States," Rodriguez said. "It's a difficult step because you know how things are in Cuba. So when Yobal and I made this decision, it was the most important one in our careers." Rodriguez set the single-season strikeout record in Cuba with 263 in 178 1/3 innings three years ago. This season, he was 8-3 in 113 innings with 117 strikeouts and an ERA of 3.11. Cuban officials left him off the Pan American Games and Olympic qualifying teams, blaming arm and back injuries for the loss of 15 mph off his fastball. "I'm going to demonstrate that I can still throw 100," Rodriguez said Thursday on Miami Spanish-language radio station WQBA-AM. "These are things that they invent to cut a little off the careers of some athletes." Duenas, a second baseman, is a former Cuban stolen base champion. I beg to differ. My lineup is more BEASTLY James O'Neill Rose Walker Chandler First off, which O'Neal. Shaq or Jermaine; both are studs. That is one big lumbering lineup too.

Overtime losses. Why do they count them, or what's the deal. A loss is a loss, is it not.

C'mon now, obviously I am all for the fighting. During the regular season, I like to see some hard play. The playoffs are a little different. I jump on the underdogs bandwagons (I'd cheer for the Hawks, but we all know they have trouble getting into the playoffs), and watch alot of hockey for the game then. I really have no interest in regular season hockey, and I have never understood the fourh column in the win-loss-tie record.

I am happy with number 3 in the preseason poll. This poll doesn't mean that much, I hope State can prove it again this year. No final fours in two years is a drought for Izzo.

Is that the best of the new basketball games. I am planning on buying one, and am just wondering which one is the best to buy.
