Where the pirates in old wooden boats?

Me and my friends would normally dress up and go to a party or something. I haven't trick or treated in years. This year I didn't even go out (other, more important things to worry about). Murcie, I said it in the last thread, most of the stories you'll find on here are not true, or are half truths. Why would the fire department or whoever it was chase after a kid because he stole a little candy? Also, wouldn't the people be able to figure out who tp'ed their house? Just a thought.

I kind of meant it more so we don't tie up alot of our money in junk, and we're stuck with it for a few years. I feel alot of guys who are being mentioned won't give us too much.

Oh yeah CW, the Cold War would have been awesome to go to last year. I don't follow hockey, but wouldn't it be cool to see the game played at the Big House? My favorite shirt I have seen is "OSU sucks, Clarett swallows." There was some "Who's the b****, Michigan's the b****" shirts too, but I would never buy them. What a waste of money. I am more for supporting my school, then bashing another school. They were worried stuff would erupt. They had John L. Smith record a message saying don't riot basically and played it at halftime.

I think him being traded is what is being writen now. I couldn't imagine him being traded. But, there is no way they trade him in the middle of a pennant race, which I assume they'll be in. It could get interesting. They also have Varitek, Mueller, Ortiz, and I think Lowe and Williamson as FA's after this upcoming season.

I have been there too. It is a nice place. Ya ever been to the Convocation (sp?) Center? It is a super nice facility. Just the right size for a school like NIU. It is not a bad campus.

Who is going to be a FA after this upcoming season? If there are some quality players, I think we should not spend all of our money on long term contracts, and not be able to sign anyone next season. I think if we can't get the guys we want, then let's not sign guys we really don't want for long. I could live with guys who arn't all superstars for one season, if they were deadset in signing some studs after the season.

I think the only way we could get Weaver is if it is through a trade. I would not mind Weaver as our fourth or fifth starter, just aslong as he is happy (or atleast not mad) he is here.

It is not about Tony G. I do want him back, and I think he is a great reserve. With these posts, they're too much. Seems everyday he has about four or five threads that say the same thing. We could have just discussed one thing in a thread, and there pops up the same question in a new thread started by guess who. Everyone should know how people feel about each postion by now, I would be more interested to hear new names, or new possibilities, instead of him posting stuff that has been said a million times. It is like beating a dead horse.

Well true. But my school is easily more passionate about basketball (crazy if you ask me). Last year after we lost in March Madness, they rioted. Call me crazy, but that is a little worse than a bumper sticker. The only schools we have any true hatred for is Michigan and Notre Dame. There were a ton of people selling t-shirts that were along the lines of saying some funny stuff about Michigan. I know the midwest doesn't compete with football in the south, but I don't mind.

It depends how much Robbie costs. I like his expierence and his defense. I can live with a few guys not hitting a ton of HR's and having a ton of RBI's. That would give the team more balance. I don't like Robbie for a ton of money.

Wrestling is my life. I ended up going 1-2. I got beat by the kid who got second in the quarters, then lost in the wrestlebacks. I had alot of trouble this week getting to 141, so it was rough. It was my first college tourny, seeing as I am a freshman. None of the kids I wrestled were freshmen, so it isn't that bad. I didn't wrestle well either. It was a decent sized tourny, 24 kids in my weight. It was a good expierence. Tickets where being sold here for a few hundreds, but I only had one kid lined up. He was like what are ya selling your ticket for, then he offered $80. I would have taken $40-$50. I hate the drunks. I don't drink at all (alcohol tastes like s***), and everyone here gets trashed tailgating. I have seen kids passed out in the aisle at games because they are so intoxicated. Alot of people have to leave early because the alcohol is getting to them. When we turn our student vouchers in, to get the actual ticket, they check our pockets and waistline to make sure no alcholol. It is just riduculous.

He brought up rebuilding. CLee put up better OFFENSIVE NUMBERS (never did I mention defensive and we could put better defensivly RF's if we traded Magglio). If you were rebuilding, would you choose the younger cheaper guy, or the heavily overpaid, older guy (star or not)? Mercy! Mercy! Mercy bro!
