  1. It's only the first, if he keeps getting it there consistently he'll get the calls. Some people still don't give Loaiza the respect he's earned this year.
  2. I never knew how much info you can get with a little searching.
  3. I'll keep this short. Back to the Future trilogy & Bowling For Columbine, great movie! I learned, I laughed, I cried.
  4. Sorry, I mix up Hayden and Hurst all the time. But, I checked at fightingillini.com and the roster says Virgil's a junior, could be a mistake though. But, the point is Illinois has a very impressive offense.
  5. I just did some research and found that the only game the sox lost to the indians at home was in July 1986 was on 7/9/86. Final Score Cleveland:6 Chicago:3 hope it helps ya
  6. Depends on which Illinois defense shows up. The one that held Brad Smith to 164 yards running & passing or the one that allowed Mike Souza 365 passing yards. Illinois' offense is consistently one of the best in the Big 10 and the nation. The backfield is loaded with true freshman Halsey who has 212 rushing yards in the first two games. Junior Morris Virgil has an average of 6.1 yds. per attempt and 1 td. FB Carey Davis might be injured, I'm not sure, but backup Jason Davis is a fine option as a runner, blocker, and receiver. QB Jon Beutjer is one of the best in the Big 10 and already becoming one of the better qbs in Illinois history. He has 47 completions in 67 attempts for a 70.1 comletion percentage. Also, he's thrown 5 tds to 1 int. The recievers are young, but they are stepping up. Freshman Kelvin Hayden and juco transfer Lonnie Hurst are the top 2 options, other than the running backs, but Mark Kornfeld has impressed me with a couple of nice catches as well. Illinois:34 UCLA:23 Go Illini!
  7. Oh, I'm just having fun with ya man. You posted that the series was even 4-4 the last 8 meetings. I just had to clear it up that Illinois has won 4 of the last 5. We all know Illinois had some s***ty teams in the mid-90s, but Turner has got the football program back to being respectable. I'm a big ten fan for everyone except when they play Illinois. So, go Wildcats, beat Miami(OH). Go Illini! Beat UCLA!
  8. Dave Veres coming in for the cubs, bases loaded for montreal. still 4-2, no hits, nobody out
  9. Wow! I'm sure we'll hear more about Dusty's decision later tonight.
  10. sounds like he's trying to cut the corners rather than going after the hitters, fearing the hit. kinda selfish.
  11. count evens at 2-2 Hunter takes a ball full count
  12. Danman, you also didn't respond when I said that Illinois has won 4 of the last 5 games against NU. What's wrong, can't handle the truth?
  13. Anyone see the footage of a Northwestern assistant coach "elbow" an Air Force qb in the neck, then the qb punch the coach in the side? I just saw it on sportscenter. He obviously wasn't trying to elbow him but he had no reason being that far out on the field. NU lost anyways...of course. :fyou Northwestern! Go Illini!
  14. Damn Monday and Sunday night losses. Things will start to separate after a few weeks, no more 20-way ties
  15. Are Selig and Sosa gonna kiss in your sig? You've never seen Playmakers on ESPN, have you? I never watch the show, I don't need some sports soap opera when I could be watching something on actual sports, but I'm guessing that's a reference to drug-testing. and to that I say
  16. In the 9th inning, did anyone else have memories of the 2001 season when the twins would almost always come back against the sox and break their hearts late in the game. I'm glad this is 2003...the year of the sox!
