  1. The Royals have Kyle Snyder on the mound for the finally...and the Sox have never faced him. I guess this is a chance for the sox to show that they ARE a different team than earlier in the year. No mercy!
  2. Thank you. I thought that I must have missed something.
  3. Is this something just the sox are offering or the entire mlb?
  4. I don't want to start talking about next year because this year is far from over. But with that said, I keep hearing, or at least in the past i have heard, that this year could be the last year the sox contend for/in the playoffs. I can't quite understand why people would be saying this. 1.)We get most of our pitching staff back next year. Even if Colon leaves we still have Loaiza, Buehrle, Garland, and a hell of a lot of minor league pitching talent. 2.)Most of our position players are young and are not going to become free agents at the end of the season. The only possible problem areas are cf, 2b, and ss. I think rowand will be the cfer next year and he has shown he is capable. They could possibly re-sign alomar at 2b or use willie, or even aaron miles. ss is the only real problem then. Someone in the know please tell me if we have any minor league ss talent. 3.)I'm not an expert on this but, don't we have a pretty damn good farm system? Which allows us to either use our kids or acquire talent with them. 4.)Who else in our division is going to dominate next year. Aren't a lot of the twins going to become fa at the end of the season? Can the royals repeat their overachieving Maybe i'm just an idiot and am listening to the wrong people, but has anyone else heard talk of this? Here's to the White Sox dynasty for many years to come...
  5. That is quite possibly one of the scariest things i've ever seen!
  6. But seriously, I don't want it to sound like i'm dissing rowand. He's been great ever since he was called up.
  7. Trading him would also make room for Rowand to get his well deserved playing time.
  8. Trade him while he's hot, tomorrow. We could get some killer prospects for him.
  9. They very well could, hasn't seattle been struggling lately? And the way the sox are playing, i'm not afraid of anyone.
  10. The second coming of what, Don Baylor?
  11. :fyou Everyone who ever said to trade Paulie! You never trade someone when they are down. And Frank isn't gonna be around forever, Paulie is our 1st baseman of the future (and today). Leave Daubach on the bench the rest of the year. He can be useful in pinch hitting situations. You had to know that with Paulie's determination and attitude he would come around sooner or later.
  12. We need an emoticon holding a broom, sorta like the ones with the flags. That would be sweet!
  13. 3 or 4?! How about 13 or 14? That would mean he's doing something right.
  14. I may be mistaken, but aren't the twins still 6.5 games back?
  15. I like bleacher seats, so my opinion is a little biased. But Row 2 is pretty damn good you're right on top of the outfield. I don't think your view of the game would be obstructed at all. Who needs to see the scoreboard anyways? All it has are stupid games in between innings.
  16. How about "Show 'em why"? As in show 'em why we traded for you. Sorry, that's all I could think of. Kinda dumb.
  17. look, he dominated the brewers! sign him up. Please tell me you forgot the green color.
  18. I like to see that the sox might not only have 1 more trade, but 2. With Gordon, Marte, Wunsch, and now Schoeneweis, the sox bullpen is starting to look decent (Decent isn't great don't read too much into this). I would really like to see them pickup Suppan. They don't need Vasquez, his price would be way too high. All they need is someone to keep them in the game for a low asking price. Suppan is that man. Hopefully kw can pick up another effective reliever as well.
  19. I still think that they are gonna be right up there with us. Look at their schedule, the next couple of weeks they play baltimore, detroit, and cleveland. They SHOULD be able to make up some ground. It's still a 3 team race.
  20. My friend caught (or should I say ended up with) Jose Valentin's game winning home run ball against the Cubs this year. I got to hold it and kiss it. Does that count?
  21. 1) Who will win the series (CHW/KC) (2 points)? CHICAGO WHITE SOX 2) Will Buehrle keep his streak alive (win or no decision) (Y/N) (2 points)? YES 3) How many errors will the Sox make (4 points)? 1 4) Name a pitcher who will earn a win (either team) (4 points)? ESTEBAN LOAIZA 5) How many earned runs will Sox starters give up (5 points)? 6 6) How many times will Carlos Lee reach base (5 points)? 6 7) Who will lead the Sox in runs scored (4 points)? ROBERTO ALOMAR 8) Will Aaron Rowand get a start (Y/N) (2 points)? YES 9) Will Billy Koch make an appearance (Y/N) (2 points)? YES 10) Will Aaron Guiel hit a homerun (Y/N) (2 points)? NO TIEBREAKER: Tuesday's total game time 2 HOURS AND 25 MINUTES
  22. I voted 2 outta 3, but who knows with the way we play on the road. I hope that series in Toronto last week gave us the confidence to win away from home.
