  1. What's wrong with playing Willie at 2nd base in the future? He's good defensively, he's fast, all he needs is to get some hits. And it seemed like his bat was coming around when he was getting playing time at second right before the alomar trade. And he's definitely fun to watch.

  3. That's what i'm saying. I want to see if this team can matchup against some of the better pitchers in the league. I'm sick of seeing them against Cleveland and Detroit and wondering whether the sox's bats have come alive or whether the tigers and indians pitching staffs are that bad. I look forward to the challenge and I hope the Sox do too.
  4. Bring it! I want to see this lineup against the best pitchers.
  5. The one thing that you can say about kw is that he tries to get things to happen. 2001-David Wells 2002-Todd Ritchie 2003-Bartolo Colon Earlier this month-Alomar and Everett He doesn't just sit around and wait for his team to get better. He goes out and takes gambles and makes things interesting. Sometimes he wins, sometimes he loses, but he shows that he cares.
  6. I hope Wunsch get get his stuff back. He was dominating before his injury. If he gets back on track, our bullpen could be pretty solid with Wunsch, Marte, and Gordon. And it looks like White and even Koch are starting to come around.
  7. Pepsi Half Price Tuesdays I believe.
  8. 1) Who will win the series (CHW/CLE/Split) (2 points)? CHISOX 2) Who will reach base more times (Graffanino/Alomar) (2 points)? Their "all-star" closer has blown a few leads lately. Today they were able to come back, but i think this could eventually lead to some problems. Not to mention their starting pitching. The twins however are an established team. They just haven't played up to their ability (kinda like the sox). And Stewart was a great addition. The division race should be pretty good, cause I think the sox and twins are going to make a run at the royals in the next few weeks.
  10. I agree, the royals are bound to start losing. They just don't know how to handle a division race.
  11. I'm still waiting for KC to fall into a slump and for the Sox to take advantage. But, I am more worried about Minnesota, they actually have experience in pennant races and look like they aren't laying down just yet. The sox need to worry about themselves though. They won't do anything if they play like they did in the first half.
  12. It's a big improvement over the 3 runs in 3 games against the Tigers just last week!
  13. This has nothing to do with money. PK is a much more important player to this team getting hot than Tony G. Plain and simple.
  14. We all know that PK's potential as a hitter is much better than Tony G's. With this said, I think getting PK hot (as he seems to be well on his way) is more of a priority. Just use Tony as they have been against left handed pitchers and in pinch hitting situations. He seems to be doing fine with that.
  15. The sox won't be swept by detroit...AGAIN!
  16. good to see willie in the game. I love his energy.
  17. Warren Morris is up. Look out.
