  1. ISIS attack in London, this is the moment Trump has been waiting for, I bet he can't wait to get on the Twitter and brag.
  2. I think that "personal matter" has been resolved and all parties are happy.
  3. Emirates Airlines and Dubai airport are part of this laptop ban. I wonder if the UAE still strongly supports the #MuslimBan.
  4. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Mar 21, 2017 -> 09:57 AM) This isn't aimed at you littlehurt but holy damn I'm tired of hearing about Gordon Beckham every time Anderson is talked about. Ha. Unfortunately Beckham is the only other hitting prospect the Sox have had in like 10 years, so what can you do?
  5. QUOTE (Sox-35th @ Mar 21, 2017 -> 09:52 AM) Even if he busts, that's not a lot of money. It's still not a big deal. For Tim Anderson it is a lot of money. Especially if he gets a serious injury or suddenly becomes bad at baseball, which happens to the best of prospects. Had Gordon Beckham been given the same deal at the same age, he would be $12 million richer right now. You are just acting like these deals do nothing for the player.
  6. QUOTE (Sox-35th @ Mar 21, 2017 -> 09:27 AM) I seriously wonder how agents let Rick Hahn walk all over their guys. Hahn basically says "Don't bet on yourself, take money" Just like the Astros GM walked all over Jon Singelton http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/astros-r...ecedented-deal/
  7. QUOTE (shipps @ Mar 21, 2017 -> 08:36 AM) Timmy just sold himself really short. But hey, when you have kids sometimes you just have to take the safest path. The players union was furious when Jon Singleton "sold himself short" and signed a team-friendly deal with HOU. He is stuck struggling in the minors but is $10 million richer. For all of these team-friendly contracts, there are always two sides. Can't complain about the deal from the White Sox end. Even if he ends up being Beckham v2.0, you still would have paid him a good amount of this money anyway to find out.
  8. Very convenient that his "personal matter" coincides with the first weekend of the NCAA tourney...
  9. QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 20, 2017 -> 09:26 AM) If you guys don't belly laugh at Steaks on a Plane every time it airs, something is wrong with you. /sarcasm I still laugh at it.
  10. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Mar 19, 2017 -> 11:03 PM) Makeup call from that Parise goal against us. The NHL's statement said that they couldn't confirm the moment Panik's stick actually touched the puck over the line, so that gave Toews the time to get back onside I guess. If they are gonna be that exact about these offsides reviews, I feel like it's gonna become just like the NFL catch rule.
  11. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 20, 2017 -> 07:12 AM) I'm actually kind of shocked they called him up then, with all those goals he was scoring for the other other (Harvard). He played for Yale, not Harvard. He scored on 3/11 vs. Harvard. Harvard made the NCAA tourney, so I don't think he would have been signed called up yet.
  12. Well that go out of hand quickly. I don't how the hell the review confirmed the 2nd goal, Toews looked so offsides but I'll take it.
  13. The pitchers make a lot of sense to me, but I dont get as much why the top hitters won't go, guys like Trout or Bryant.
  14. When Michigan wins the national championship, does Maverick Morgan get a ring too?
  15. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Mar 11, 2017 -> 11:03 AM) So ABC has the big GS/SA matchup tonight. Leonard is out for SA with a concussion. Besides KD being down, Kerr is resting, Curry, Thompson, Green, and Iggy. Not exactly what ABC was hoping for. And tonight for the ABC match up LeBron, Kyrie, and Love all rested too, Clippers win by 30
  16. f***ing Wisconsin man, just always winning one way or another.
  17. Wow, Whitman on some stealth s***. http://www.espn.com/espn/now?nowId=21-0634852541686879076-4
  18. QUOTE (Boogua @ Mar 18, 2017 -> 02:39 PM) Looks like it's Brad underwood. Initial reaction by national writers is positive, calling it a steal. That's good. I didn't even know who he was.
  19. QUOTE (Joxer_Daly @ Mar 17, 2017 -> 05:20 PM) Interesting, how did you arrive at them as your team of choice? Hi all, by the way. Happy St. Patrick's Day stranger!!!
  20. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Mar 17, 2017 -> 06:21 PM) This went well. Pomeroy obviously doesn't factor in TWTW.
  21. I don't see what all the fuss is about with that flagrant foul call. I realize they don't typically call that at the end of games, but he just straight up pushed the guy with zero attempt at the ball. At least pretend like you are making a basketball move, that was the definition of a flagrant foul.
  22. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Mar 17, 2017 -> 01:42 PM) Scott Drew keeps popping up as someone who would be interested in the Illinois job, I'm torn on him. He is a fantastic recruiter, decent coach, and turned that Baylor program into something. As far as coaches go, he would be a great fit for those attributes. But, his somewhat gray past/reputation (whether fair or not) still stands out, and would go against what Whitman would look for in a coach. Given that I just made the following post in another thread, I say hard pass on Scott Drew. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 17, 2017 -> 12:46 PM) It's only halftime, but I'm already regretting betting on a Scott Drew coached time in my survivor pool.

  24. I found this little "recap" on a sports radio message board:
  25. Didn't watch much of the game but Q threw the young kid straight in the mix. So Corey suddenly didn't feel well after taking a Shea Weber slap shot to the face two days ago. Hello concussion protocol...
