QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Sep 24, 2015 -> 08:42 AM) http://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.aspx?pos=...=&players=0 I know that we watched him all year and he had some bad starts. Fangraphs still has him as the 4th best pitcher in all of baseball too though. Wouldn't FanGraphs' numbers compensate for the lack of defense behind him?
-
QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Sep 24, 2015 -> 08:11 AM) Well one of the 3 best pitchers in the AL wouldn't finish in the top 3 in voting then. Which would be dumb. Not that it really matters anyway though. The only knock Sale really has against him is the fewer innings this year. The award isn't for the 3 best pitchers in the AL though. It's for the 3 pitchers who had the best seasons in 2015. Those are two different arguments.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Sep 24, 2015 -> 07:46 AM) Pretty decent article in the trib today from Kass http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/columni...923-column.html If only the Chicago newspapers were readable in online format.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Sep 24, 2015 -> 07:41 AM) How many times has a guy signed long term like Sale been traded for a bunch of prospects and it turned out to be a good deal for the team trading the star? How did it work out for the Mariners by not trading Felix to the Red Sox for the prospects that didn't pan out? Sometimes you are damned if you do and damned if you don't.
-
QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Sep 24, 2015 -> 07:34 AM) Did you actually look at numbers though? Sale's FIP is higher. He's accumulated more WAR as well. Look at the difference in Sale's ERA and FIP. The White Sox defense is horrible. I get that the defense sucks, but tough s***. The award honors the player who had the best season on the field, not the player who should have had the best season. I don't mind looking at FIP, but what actually happened on the field should have a higher bearing on the award.

QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 22, 2015 -> 02:13 PM) They'll score 3 points. I thought so too, but now Kam Chancellor is coming back. And Josh McCown passed concussion protocol so JFF goes back to the bench. Oh Browns.

I went to San Antonio a few years ago. Every single restaurant I went to, no matter the cuisine, they serve you fresh tortillas on the side. So awesome.

Wow, that is so f***ed up. Awful.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Sep 23, 2015 -> 11:24 AM) Very cool. Mind sharing the general pricing per sq/ft with me? I wish I had the exact number for you, I think it was upwards of $70 sq/ft or so. It was costlier than the other brands which were closer to $62-65 I think. Our price got all changed because our island was so big, we need a special jumbo slab. Those prices included cutting and installation.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Sep 23, 2015 -> 11:07 AM) Thanks SS. We have gone to a few slabyards and don't really care for the granite options. My wife wants something white but also fairly solid, which is difficult to find with granite. They had a few quartz slabs, but they were made by a company named Quantro out of India. I didn't care much for the reviews I saw online. Apparently a lot of chipping problems. I think I may just go with Silestone just for peace of mind. We just went with the Stellar Snow quartz from Silestone, very happy with it so far. http://www.silestoneusa.com/colors/color/stellar-snow/

Hitler's not so bad, just ask Blackhawks ambassador Bobby Hull

QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Sep 23, 2015 -> 08:47 AM) Which I new. My bad. Let me rephrase: is there a way this PC is to announce that they will not be moving forward with trying to charge Kane? Why would you hold a press conference for that? Wouldn't you just release a statement or say nothing? It's just gonna bring more attention to the victim.

When I grow up I want to be just like Robert Lewandowski. Wow. -
QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 23, 2015 -> 12:17 AM) For some of us hockey playoff fans, how much did the Hawks lose from their title team? I know there was talk they'd have to shed salary. So did we lose a ton and what are the prospects of winning it all again this year? Did the Blackhawks get gutted of talent? Or not? Yeah, the salary cap cost them a player from each of their top 3 lines and their #4 defenseman, but Vegas still has them as the favorite to win it all.

It's entirely possible that the school/police overreacted and the kid/family are full of s*** too. Those two things are not mutually exclusive.
-
QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Sep 22, 2015 -> 08:22 PM) And now it's official. RT @WGRZ: CONFIRMED: There will be a press conference on the Patrick Kane case tomorrow at 1 p.m. http://t.co/8GiQBMRjDP I can't imagine that's a good thing for Kane or the Hawks.

I would imagine Dano has a pretty good year if he skates with Toews and Hossa all year.

QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Sep 22, 2015 -> 10:43 AM) I'm not saying Viciedo is amazing or LaRoche has had a s*** career. Once again, my point is that I think if they were given the same amount of 2016 DH at-bats, Viciedo would be the better hitter. Not against RHP. LaRoche hit righties better in 2015 than Viciedo has in his career.
-
Seahawks open as 14.5 point favorites. From what I can find, the last time the Bears were two touchdown underdogs was December 6, 1998 @ Minnesota. Steve Stenstrom vs. Randall Cunningham and Randy Moss. They did not cover.
-
Yet the Colts are probably gonna still win their division. Again. It must be nice to always have a top 5 QB (and for no one else in your division to have top 20 QB)
-
Why are we comparing LaRoche to Viciedo? One of them should only face RHP. The other one should only face LHP. They shouldn't even be fighting over the same roster spot anyway.

When all of your teams suck

A Colts, Blackhawks, and Kentucky /Louisville basketball fan is complaining about their teams sucking? That's not allowed. -
QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 21, 2015 -> 08:35 PM) What's wrong with the Colts offense? They can't even get a first down. Trying to destroy the few survivor pool entries that survived the weekend

QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Sep 21, 2015 -> 08:32 PM) Philadelphia and Cleveland do not have a QB. JFF

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Sep 21, 2015 -> 03:57 PM) http://www.csnchicago.com/bears/john-fox-m...-who-want-do-it Fox is a breath of fresh air. On a sidenote, how is a Raiders team that is 1-1, have the 2nd highest odds to be the #1 pick? Did I miss something? Because they are the Raiders, where have been the last 7 years or so?
