QUOTE (iamshack @ Mar 12, 2015 -> 11:40 AM) Oh good point... Do you think living with your parents and/or your in laws, even if in a well-designed, large space, would drive you absolutely f***ing crazy though? You tells us that, it's your family, your in-laws. Some people could do it easily, some can't live within 500 miles of their parents. I would majorly agree that having free family child care is HUGE.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Mar 12, 2015 -> 10:48 AM) Its probably better for the Bears to be bad, get a high draft pick and set up for progress in year 2. Ideally, they will be bad the year before the true franchise QB is available in the draft.

QUOTE (bmags @ Mar 11, 2015 -> 09:47 PM) I can't wait for my $5 mortgage payment in 2045! Haha. It's a lot better than the first payment of $1.25 principal and $1,125.00 interest.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 12, 2015 -> 08:07 AM) i havent heard if the cameraman/whistleblower who filmed it and texted it out was identified by the fraternity. I have to imagine he was I bet it's a she. Judging from the video, it appeared to be a date function, I think it was somebody's date who had no idea that stuff was going on in that house.

QUOTE (dasox24 @ Mar 11, 2015 -> 09:52 PM) Antrel Rolle and Eddie Royal officially signed per Brad Biggs, Michael Wright, etc on Twitter. Not too surprising. Solid pickups. Bears are looking more and more like the quintessential 8-8 team next season.

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Mar 11, 2015 -> 09:14 PM) Going to Real Madrid game the 15th I'm sure ticket availability was helped by their recent performance. That's awesome, have fun, would love to go to a game in Europe. -
QUOTE (bmags @ Mar 11, 2015 -> 03:26 PM) I realized at noon that this was probably the most cash i'd have for a long long time After you do close, don't look at the amortization schedule either. It's just depressing. Congrats though!

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 11, 2015 -> 07:38 PM) Conte to the Bucs. The Conte/Wright safety tandem is back in action! It's funny how much coaches emphasize players that know their system, as opposed to players who are good at football

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Mar 11, 2015 -> 10:01 AM) Has anyone bought one of the package deals Abt and other stores sell? I can't tell if they're good deals or if they throw in some junk dishwasher or stove to make the deal better for them. I don't know about those package deals, but I was surprised to find how much leeway the sales guys have in changing the price. When they enter an order, they can just freely lower the price if they so choose. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Mar 11, 2015 -> 01:07 PM) My Frigidaire professional dishwasher is whisper quiet. How many dBs is it??? The Whirlpool we bought for our new kitchen was 46. The sounds it makes (or doesn't make) turned out to be one of the largest factors in price I found.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 11, 2015 -> 09:42 AM) OU has 5% black students on campus. It's not exactly a haven of acceptance for other races. Couple that with a historically racist fraternity, alcohol and camera phones and you get this situation. It's not like its the only racist thing that has ever been said at a fraternity party, white or black or whatever. It just so happened to be caught on camera. It wasn't like these two kids just came up with an impromptu song out of nowhere. I am sure they heard it from their older fraternity brothers, who had it passed down by other guys. These guys were just dumb enough to sing it in front of people not part of the fraternity. The core of the problem is deeper than just these two idiots.

QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Mar 10, 2015 -> 01:32 PM) Wow. Marcus Stroman out for the year. Torn ACL That's rough, he seemed to be a popular "breakout" candidate

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 10, 2015 -> 09:12 AM) My 4 year old was just awesome. If you gave him a bottle, he passed out (sometimes while drinking it) and he would sleep through the night starting at like 3 months old. At 6 months, easy transition to his crib from the bassinet. My 2 year old has been nothing short of a nightmare. He still gets up at like 3AM every morning, gets into our bed, and causes a fuss. He doesnt take consistent naps, he is a BEAR to wake up, and he is super grumpy for like an hour after he wakes up. Kids are weird, and you just never know which model you lucked into Our daughter has just been the best night sleeper from the start, so I'm already convinced this next kid is not gonna sleep a wink.

QUOTE (bmags @ Mar 10, 2015 -> 01:53 PM) Well, I guess you have to trust Fox's judgement there, (though could just be Moore does not like Fox). Well Moore may have cost Fox a Super Bowl ring, so I can see where they might not be on the same page.

QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Mar 10, 2015 -> 10:32 AM) Because NFL teams very often make really bad decisions. That is true, but when you need a QB to win, and there are maybe 20 individuals in the whole world able to play QB at a positive level, sometimes you have to take a chance that may likely not work out. Or you can sign Josh McCown?
-
QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Mar 10, 2015 -> 10:16 AM) See I do because I don't think he's ever going to be an NFL starter. You need to get starters in round 3. Go look. QB's that were 24 at or around draft day. The next successful one will be the first. Yeah, but if you are drafting Petty then you probably don't have a QB as it is and are gonna get fired either way. Might as well take a chance. Why do you think guys like Ponder or Bortles get drafted in the 1st round?

QUOTE (shipps @ Mar 10, 2015 -> 10:16 AM) Is today's opening of FA at 3pm going to be a whole lot more than every thing we already know with all the reported deals? I usually look forward to it but now we know deals in place so there is no rush of breaking news aspect to it, so it seems. I guess some of those deals could still fall through, a la Frank Gore to the Eagles.

QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ Mar 10, 2015 -> 08:25 AM) Doing worse than what? 5-11? With the way backup QB's have performed for us the past couple of years, I think your point is highly debatable. Like the second half of 2011 when Hanie & McCown saved the day when Cutler went down? Or the NFC Championship game that prior January? Yes, McCown had that great 5-game stretch. It happened, unexplainedly. But he has been awful since then, Trestman is long gone, so I'm not gonna act like that makes everything OK using backup QBs. Nor does one home loss by Jimmy Clausen change anything either
-
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 10, 2015 -> 08:14 AM) One thing I do get...if you're looking to get a replacement QB, "doing so much worse" may not be the worst route. Sure, but if you are gonna "do so much worse", I'd rather it be a guy who has even a 0.0001% chance of becoming a franchise QB, that's not Jimmy Clausen.
