Birdie Annette Harnden. So adorable. Life changed.

Congrats Steve! Just remember, you can never take enough pictures.

Congratulations! Agree on pictures, also to add, you can never spend too much time holding/snuggling that baby.

You'll finally understand what it's like to love something more than yourself, and the nonstop worry that brings...and the fun. ;)

And no to you non-parents, until you have kids, you haven't.

Congrats! Get some sleep!

Congrats enjoy the wonderful ride.

Its a beautiful thing steve. Congrats.

Congrats man. Did you pass out like a little b****?

Congrats, Steve!

I fully expect any future son of yours to be named George Oscar.

I always loved the middle of the night feedings. The house was quiet, just my baby and me, rocking and feeding. Plus, you are the greatest husband for getting up and letting your wife sleep.

Congratulations dad.

Congrats and Good luck!

What's the story on her name? Is it a family name?

Congrats Steve and Mrs. Steve!

Big Daddy Steve, congrats.

Beat you, we had ours Tuesday afternoon...a boy, Ethan Robert. My mom, baby and I all are born on the 3rd (diff months).

It's amazing everything you worry about, like a sneeze or whether the milk its strong enough....the baby hitting his head on the hardwood floors, etc.

My wife is really having a hard time with the consistent pain of nursing, maybe even more so than giving birth.

By the way, does anyone have a cure for when the baby is having a few swallowing problems or hiccups? In China, the nurses teachers mothers to hit the feet and cause pain or crying...sort of like disassociation or transference, but tapping hard on the bottom of the feet just doesn't feel right as a parent. My wife did it a couple of times but I made her feel guilty, like a bad cop, so she stopped while I search for more humane approaches.

Even holding the baby, I felt a bit nervous the first time...but when see him look you in the eyes the first time...nothing to describe it.

Unfortunately, they don't allow you in the delivery room (stays on the bed next to mom) so I had to for 3.5 hours to meet them after the birth. But still more than worth it...instantly changes your philosophy about the world, future, environment, etc.

Have your wife try a few different breast nursing holding positions. The baby is probably gulping a bit of air when swallowing. The "football" hold worked best for us, but there are others to try. hitting the feet sounds rather ridiculous and wouldn't accomplish anything

Ew, kids.

Congrats though. ?

Thanks...away from hospital it will be much easier on a king sized bed to maneuver.

There were no private rooms avail so you're stuck with three twin sized beds in one normal room.

A new movie for you. And Michael Phillips of the tribune really doesn't like Chappie.

I'm not much of a horror guy. Seen the trailer. I liked Chappie when it was Short Circuit 2.

Congrats, Steve and Caulfield!

Congrats to both of you!!
