QUOTE (JPN366 @ Sep 5, 2014 -> 01:55 PM) Brandon Browner and Walter Thurmond, Adderall, both gone. Richard Sherman appealed and won. That's it. Don't exaggerate. Bruce Irvin, John Moffitt, Allen Barbre too. Only Irvin is still with the team, but it's not something you should lead the league in. QUOTE (JPN366 @ Sep 5, 2014 -> 01:59 PM) Last year they were 7-1 at home and 6-2 on the road. They lost by a combined 15 points in those three games. Seattle can win on the road, it's not the past anymore. I never said they can't win on the road, I was just saying that they won't go undefeated on the road. But 13-3 or 14-2 is very a probable result for them, just not 16-0. -

QUOTE (daa84 @ Sep 5, 2014 -> 11:40 AM) yeah, ok 10% is probably generous, as a 10-1 bet is dumb. I get the compounding probabilities of any team winning 16 games is incredbily low, so for me to have said 10-20% is stupid. I just think this seattle team is just really, really, really good. I stand by my conviction that the chiefs, rams, cardinals and panthers are all in line for a regression though. Chiefs were a 2-14 team 2 years ago that had a cupcake schedule last year and beat 10 non-playoff teams. I do think a road game at StL is an easy win for this seattle team. in regards to SF being easy favorites at home - an early spread that i saw is SF -0.5, so essentially a pick em game Last year's Seattle team needed a last second stop in St. Louis against Kellen Clemens. -

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Sep 5, 2014 -> 09:29 AM) My takeaway from last night is that Seattle is very good, but Green Bay's defense continues to be pretty awful. And their offensive line has some issues. I don't think North has to go through Green Bay this year. I think the division is up for grabs with a few teams good enough to possibly win it. As long as Aaron Rodgers is playing, they are still the team to beat. -
It's about that time of the year again...

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 5, 2014 -> 09:39 AM) The fact that Rasmus has now "fallen out of favor" with a pair of teams is probably going to be a big hint. It will be very interesting to see what kind of contract he gets. He's obviously talented but he hasn't been able to put it all together for a full season and the whole "fallen out of favor" factor. That being said, in today's game, younger talented players get locked up so often, sometime will probably be willing to take a chance on him with a larger contract. -

QUOTE (daa84 @ Sep 5, 2014 -> 07:53 AM) their road games: Easy Wins: @Was, @StL, @KC, Should Win: @Car Will Be Favored: @Phi, @Ari, @SD Toss Up: @SF Their more difficult road games feature multiple teams who are primed to/look as if they will take a step back this year (Ari, SF, Car, arguably SD and Phi too). I dont mean to say that I think they will go undefeated, or even that they have over a 50% chance of doing so. I do however, think theres ~10-20% chance of them going undefeated, which thus makes it a real possibility @STL and @KC are easy wins? In that world? I think you are really underestimating how hard it is to win every game in the NFL. Last year they lost 3 games (1 at home), needed OT to win 2 more, and were a few yards away from losing to Kellen Clemens & the Rams. They are the best team and good teams make plays, but the line is so then between win and loss every week, they aren't gonna run the table. -

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Sep 4, 2014 -> 10:56 PM) It's a crazy statement. They're really, really good but they're division is loaded, their schedule is really difficult and I hear it's pretty hard to go undefeated. They'll lose at least 2. Exactly. They are obviously the best team in football right now, but I doubt they go undefeated in their own division, let alone all season. They also have to play at Carolina, Philly, and KC. But if they clinch the #1 seed in the NFC and home field again, they can book those Super Bowl flights to Phoenix already. -

QUOTE (Big Hurtin @ Sep 4, 2014 -> 07:03 PM) Wrigley Field? I'm sure it's too small but an OSU/ND game there would be one of the hottest tickets ever in Chicago. And I would stay a minimum 50 miles away from Wrigleyville. -

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Aug 31, 2014 -> 12:21 PM) They have a throwing QB. Of course once they lost 2 key defenders to injury LSU started to move the ball. Apparently he has a case of the "yips", aka Rick Ankiel syndrome. -

QUOTE (MEANS @ Sep 4, 2014 -> 07:35 AM) The Colts would pretty much go 0-4 in the preseason for the majority of the time Manning was with them. Pre-season means squat. I repeat, the 2008 Detroit Lions went 4-0 in the preseason. -
QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Sep 4, 2014 -> 07:35 AM) I'm still worried about his power outage. His average keeps increasing by the day, but now Cruz, Stanton (NL), and even Carter have surpassed him in home runs. The triple crown idea seems even less possible now, even though it was very unlikely to begin with. Altuve has been red hot too, back-to-back 4 for 5 games have his average up to .340.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Sep 3, 2014 -> 08:58 AM) seriously, there are not many home team announcers that are gonna bring that up. What the heck are they gonna say? "Hey did you see those leaked naked pics of Verlander and Upton?" They arent up there to discuss things like that, and "outside distractions" is probably a good thing for them to keep it at It's not like he did anything wrong or illegal. He took naked pics with female companions in private, which some of his teammates may have possibly done too. It just so happens his female companion is a world famous model, so some internet people decided to hack into those photos. There's nothing really to talk about it or criticize.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Sep 3, 2014 -> 08:44 AM) He has gone from enthusiastic and excited to passive aggressive and moody. Maybe that contract is weighing on him I think that he is also realizing how important recruiting blue-chip talent is in football. He had his early successes with his "system" guys or finding diamonds in the rough. Sure you can have good seasons doing that from time to time, but it is hard winning year after year with that method. Get a few injuries or a good player wants to play "closer to home" and suddenly that system doesn't run as smoothly. -
Upgrading over Flowers would be nice, but I definitely don't think catcher is #1 priority this offseason. If he is back as a starter, it's OK. And who knows, maybe he keeps improving.
