  1. FWIW, Tallon is killing is today. Upshall, Fleischmann, Theodore, and Jovo. Wow.
  2. Smith Toews Kane Brunette Sharp Hossa Bickell Bolland Frolik Olesz Mayers Kruger Boom. Sign Frolik and Campoli now.
  3. The bullpen has been ridiculous lately. Great job by Alexei and Juan, too.
  4. Want to know what is silly? Jovo got $16.5 million from Florida.
  5. f*** Randy Wells and the Cubs and their ugly jerseys.
  6. Give him a uniform of a team out of contention.
  7. QUOTE (Controlled Chaos @ Jul 1, 2011 -> 12:29 PM) I haven't seen anyone knocking the deal here. Both are solid moves IMO. "4th line banger. Whatever"
  8. Boyd Gordon and Raffi Torres to Phoenix.Jagr to Philly.
  9. How can anyone hate the Mayers or O'Donnell move? Mayers will be a depth guy who has experience and is tough. It's 500k people, relax. As for O'Donnell, this is a good move. To get him for 1 year for under 900k is a steal. He'll be Scott's replacement on D. Thr 'Hawks biggest need is size. They were 4th in goals last year. These are great moves considering they've barely spent anything so far and they've added size. Add Cole OR Leino and Talbot and call it a day, Bowman.
  10. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 09:26 PM) Nice to see Pierre and Beckham do so well. I refused to watch the game because of that godawful (on paper) lineup Oz threw together today. Though I did get back to a TV in time to watch Juan's blast off the fence. I was a little worried when Beckham almost got thrown out at the plate since that bomb kicked off the scoreboard perfectly to the right fielder. Great pitching again aside from the one bad inning. As far as Rios ... he is who he is. He's 0 for his last 11 after his hot streak in which he was 12 for 28 over seven games. is he hot or not? O for 11 is not good. 12 for 28 is good. His on base percentage for the season is .269; .593 OPS 0 for his last 11? He had a walk and a base hit today. EDIT: Oops, someone beat me to that.
  11. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 05:54 PM) Nice guess
  12. Pierre now over .300 on the year with RISP.
  13. Strange game: Beckham gets 3 hits. AJ throws a guy out. Pierre gets a SB. Pierre hits a ball off of the wall. Dunn doesn't make a dumb play at 1B.
  14. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 05:54 PM) That love was not everlasting. Then explain why he's been playing so much this year...
  15. Clayton Kershaw has 2 hits vs LHP's this year. Dunn has 1. Tim Hudson has a HR vs a LHP this year. Dunn has 0.
  16. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 05:53 PM) Juan Pierre just earned himself Ozzie's everlasting love with his game today. He earned it today? He earned it when Florida won a ring in 2003.
  17. Winner winner chicken dinner. f*** the Cubs
  18. QUOTE (JoshPR @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 05:41 PM) Hate to admit it, but Pierre has come alive somewhat I don't hate to admitt anything. If he's going to hit, that's fine. Viciedo could use all the polish he can down in AAA. The problem is, all year Pierre's been absolutely brutal.
  19. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 05:40 PM) Finally a big hit Street you got 2 losses this series friend. I wil return yes! Street? That was Mortensen.
  20. I called the Pierre GS earlier, and he grounded out. This time, I didn't call it, and he doubled off the top of the wall.
  21. QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 05:39 PM) You'll be back. You can't stay away. I would've been back, just not in game threads.
