  1. QB: Hasselbeck, Mark Sanchez RB: LT, Ray Rice, Mendenhall, Cadillac Williams WR: Andre Johnson, Bowe, Josh Morgan, Bess, Manningham TE: Olsen, Keller K: Josh Brown DEF: Cowboys, Texans Keep in mind it's a 16 team league. Thoughts?
  2. Today I have a fantasy draft. It's a 16 team league and the winner gets $1180. I'm going to try to go for Barber, then Boldin/Jennings, then Rice/McFadden. Wish me luck.
  3. QUOTE (iamshack @ Aug 30, 2009 -> 12:22 AM) Kenny put together a solid team. I agree 100% with him in saying that this team is one of the best we've had in recent years. It's just not translating from paper to the field. I'm not sure if that is on Ozzie or the players. My guy tells me if you can't gel with Ozzie as your manager, you ain't never going to. Going into the season with Fields at 3B, Getz and Nix at 2B, Brian f***ing Anderson in CF, and then having the balls to throw Contreras and Colon out there as our 4-5 SP's is not putting a solid team out there.
  4. QUOTE (zenryan @ Aug 29, 2009 -> 04:05 PM) Byron Leftwich named the starter! 3-13 here we come!!!!! 1-15 with McCown?
  5. That goofy song they play at the circus.
  6. QUOTE (rangercal @ Aug 27, 2009 -> 01:00 AM) I've been a Cutler fan a season before joining the bears (granted it was because Brady went down week 1, and I needed a replacement for my fantasy QB.) However, I watched most Bronco games because they were usually late games and I needed 10-15 pts to win my week. Not many players I can say I know much more about other than highlight reels, occasional prime time game watching and box score reading. Jay Cutler is one of the top 5 most talented QB's I have ever witnessed. He made his weapons. Everybody talks about how important Wide Receivers are, well Tight Ends are vastly underated. They are the targets when you desperately need 7 yards to keep the chains moving. Remove Gates and Rivers becomes Eli. LT,Sproles,Gates,Jackson,Chambers>> Marshall,Royal and anyone else you want to throw in there. It's not even close. I think Billy Volek would agree. Exactly. When Brandon Marshall came into the NFL, he was supposed to be a FS out of Central Florida. Now, he's a top tier WR when he isn't in trouble with the law. Eddie Royal comes in last year, has a good rookie year, and now everyone is calling him "a weapon the Bears don't have". Did Royal have a good year because he was so ready to play in the NFL, or did he have a good year because Cutler was his QB? I think it's option 2.
  7. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Aug 25, 2009 -> 08:51 PM) He had more weapons than Rivers in Denver (even when LT was healthy and great, let alone when he wasn't last year), and Rivers was still a better QB. Moving to Chicago, where his weapons are inferior to what he has had in the past, won't help. Marshall, Royal, and who? Rivers had LT, Sproles, Gates, and Vincent Jackson.
  8. Good post, iamshack. I'm sick of everyone saying how AJ should be dealt. Lately, he's been our best offensive player. While I'll agree Beckham needs a dayoff, he wasn't going to be a .400 hitter since his 0'fer start.
  9. Teams who make the playoffs: Bears, Eagles, Falcons, Seahawks, Giants, Packers Steelers, Patriots, Titans, Chargers, Ravens, Colts
  10. Cowley's twitter (i'm paraphrasing): Boston tries to hand the game over and the boys from the South Side crap the bed. Unreal.
  11. Atleast the Bears opener is in, counting today, 19 days.
  12. QUOTE (longshot7 @ Aug 25, 2009 -> 12:15 PM) Klaus, who is that? Shawn Johnson
  13. QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Aug 24, 2009 -> 11:19 PM) So then you can point out why he deserves this crazy contract extension? I don't know why. But I do know that he isn't an average QB.
  14. I can't wait to watch him throw. Give me 6 innings and give up 1-2 runs and he did his job.
  15. Podsednik Beckham Quentin Thome Konerko Pierzynski Ramirez Dye Nix Is it really all that difficult?
  16. QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 24, 2009 -> 09:58 PM) One down, nine to go. We are brutally overmatched. Anybody think this'll be the closest game of the Bosox series? Jose? Wow. The Red Sox aren't even all that good. I think we'll still win 2 in Boston. We lost today's game because dontCOUNTonme can't field a ground ball moving at a negative miles per hour.
  17. Rivers is average? He had just as many TD's last year as Brees did, and his #1 is Vincent Jackson + Gates.
  18. This is like the bad news bears today.
  19. QUOTE (soxfan3530 @ Aug 24, 2009 -> 01:27 PM) DA BEARS!!!!! DA HAWKS
  20. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Aug 24, 2009 -> 05:16 AM) you need to get to Gwinnett, and you need to FIND THAT F***ING DOG You don't just look for an hour and call it the quits.
  21. QUOTE (Disco72 @ Aug 23, 2009 -> 07:43 PM) Falcons are gonna regress a bit IMO. No inside "local" knowledge, just a feeling that Ryan won't be quite as good while the Saints will still be very good and the Panthers will be better. 1. They lost Douglass, but they added one of the best TE's ever. 2. While the Saints are going to have Colston back at 100%, they just don't play defense. 3. I'm not sure how Carolina got better. D'Angelo Williams is not going to have that same season again, Delhomme continues to get worse, and Peppers still is unhappy.
