Who Is Kenny Trying to Shake Loose?
Face it: if we aren't going to give up Viciedo, Beckham, Danks, Flowers, or Hudson, we have no chance at Halladay. There's nobody really on Toronto I'd want (by the way, the hats they wear today and on Canada Day are awesome). Rios has a huge deal + his OBP is a whopping .318 this year. Wells makes way too much + he sucks. Scott Downs or Jason Frasor would be solid pick-ups to help our bullpen. Both have ERA's under 2.

QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 4, 2009 -> 11:00 AM) Flame away, but I'd sigh AI for a year if he is willing. Otherwise, in a year, we are probably looking at a lottery pick plus/hopefully Wade and Bosh. Either/or Didn't he say he wants to stay in Miami, and if he doesn't, he doesn't want to play here?

How 'bout those White Sox!
The Royals took Alex Gordon in the 2005 draft instead of: Ryan Zimmerman Ryan Braun Andrew McCutchen Lance Broadway Chris Volstad Jacoby Ellsbury (so did we) Colby Rasmus (so did we) The Royals took Luke Hochevar 1st overall in 2006 instead of: Evan Longorgia Clayton Keshaw Tim Lincecum Max Scherzer Joba Chamberlain (so did we) So, it's the front office there that's the problem.

2010 Interleague- here it is
QUOTE (BearSox @ Jul 3, 2009 -> 10:11 PM) It's the fact that they aren't regular rays, like the fish. It's rays of sunshine. I think that's gay. I thought Devil Rays was pretty BA. The MLB isn't a sport where there are too many BA names. Why are the Angels the Angels? Why not be the Devils or something?

How 'bout those White Sox!
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 3, 2009 -> 09:36 PM) It's a shame we didn't get to see a Floyd/King Felix matchup in June. "Here we are in the 14th inning, still 0-0., 83 pitches for Gavin Floyd, 91 pitches for Felix Hernandez..." "Floyd in some trouble here, so on comes Linebrink..." 11 pitches and 3 home runs later: "And that's gonna be it for Linebrink.............thank god" *Harry Doyle voice* Anyways, I'm really happy with the way the team is playing. Thank you Scotty, you're making it happen again in Chicago.

I wouldn't exactly say that the Rays is a gay name, yet the White Sox is kick a** or anything.

QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Jul 3, 2009 -> 11:08 AM) The last thing this team needs is another player that carries a 7.5 million dollar cap hit. Except Chara is actually worth all 7.5 million. Plus, we'd be trading Sharp, Versteeg, and Barker so we'd probably be helping our cap issues, right?

QUOTE (BaseballNick @ Jul 3, 2009 -> 11:29 AM) In today's Sun-Times, Cowley mentions that Greinke has plunked 29 batters over his career, with nine of them being White Sox. He's only hit five other players from AL Central teams. I guess he just doesn't have his good control when he faces the Sox. AJ always finds a way to get a hit a time or 2 a game.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 3, 2009 -> 09:48 AM) Probably means that at least 1 of the Mets, Phils, and Braves comes to Chicago. The last time the Sox played Philly or the Mets, it was in Chicago, though. Then again, the last time we played Washington was at their place (well..Montreal) so who knows?

Official 2009-2010 NHL Thread
That'd be interesting. I'm not sure I'd want to trade Sharp (probably because I just bought my brother a Sharp jersey for his b-day) and Barker for Regehr, but it'd be something to look into. I'd much rather deal Barker, Versteeg, and a 3rd round pick (or a 2nd) for him, but we'll see. How about- Versteeg, Sharp, and Barker for Chara? *begins to pray heavily* In Dale I trust. QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Jul 3, 2009 -> 09:42 AM) On Stuy's board they are saying the Hawks are after Robyn Regehr...don't know how they could afford him or who would go for him but I know Calgary is looking for forwards.....speculate away. Link? Oh and BTW: puckprospectus.com

I doubt KW takes a chance on him with $50m over 5-6 years.
