Vidal is gonna be out in the semis after his second yellow.

The FO deserves to get fired. So does most of the team staff. Clean house.

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 18, 2016 -> 05:18 PM) Neither quarter final on an English speaking TV channel tonight. Great job Fox! Couldn't even be bothered to put it on FS2, which no one gets anyways. Meanwhile ESPN has no problem putting Norway vs Hungary on their main channel. For real? Not even Chile vs. Mexico?

I don't think you can pitch any worse than Shields has.

Gotta hand it to John Brooks. He played a hell of a game again. He's really developed into a nearly world class defender.

QUOTE (Boogua @ Jun 16, 2016 -> 10:47 PM) Warriors open up as 5 point favorites for game 7. With Iggy hobbled and a lack of rim protection with Bogut out, there's no way they can stop Lebron. The Warriors need to hope guys like Harrison Barnes can hit an open shot. No team has ever come back down 3-1...so I think Vegas has to take that into account.

QUOTE (zenryan @ Jun 16, 2016 -> 10:39 PM) No way Jurgen plays them vs Argentina. It's a shame, Pulisic vs the Argentine Pulisic would be fun. Haha No Jones, Bedoya, or Wood. I think he almost has to. Although I think Jurgen should try Johnson in the midfield and play Besler as a fullback like he did in this game. Yedlin will be back. Maybe he'll go with Nagbe at forward with Zusi and Johnson in the midfield.

Team was tired as hell at the end there. Very nerve racking. Enner Valencia should have scored 2 goals in the span of about 3 minutes. We're gonna have to play Argentina without Wood, Bedoya, and Jones. That means Zusi, Pulisic, and Nagbe are probably going to start. Please for the love of god, do not play Wondo Jurgen. That's all I ask.

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 16, 2016 -> 09:58 PM) He is really bad. Doesn't belong on the team at all. And also Bobby Wood to miss semis for doing nothing. f***ing sigh. He's been so awesome. Time for Pulisic and Nagbe to shine. Although I really don't expect us to beat Argentina.

Oh f*** this ref. Valencia gets sent off and then he sends Jones off for a little push.

Bradley always finds a way to f*** the team. He almost gave up a goal at the end of the half. Guzan saved us twice.

Poland did well to get a draw. They might not win the group, but they'll at least advance to the round of 16.

England pulls off a very un-England win. Sucks for Wales. The English media would have absolutely lost their s*** had they tied or lost to Wales.

Tim Anderson Called up...Rollins DFA'd
QUOTE (ChiSox59 @ Jun 16, 2016 -> 10:35 AM) Dee Gordon maybe? Gordon's an 80 speed guy, Tim's a 65. Not the best comp. I think Anderson's got a bit more pop too.

2016 Cubs catch-all thread
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 15, 2016 -> 05:59 PM) Nationals rally to tie it...Ramos for a struggling veteran closer, one of the two dumbest trades in Twins' history, along with JJ Hardy to Balt for nothing of significance. And of course Almora is 6 for his first 16 with three doubles. Figures. Wow, Matt Capps huh? Totally forgot they traded Ramos for him.

France score 2 late goals to advance to the knockout stages. Payet scored in garbage time, but that's now 2 goals for him.

If you could add 1 player to this team.....
Easy, Mike Trout. Hit him second in the lineup and let him run around center field.
-
Jose Reyes
He's not even good. Add the whole domestic violence thing and he's probably the least wanted player in baseball. We called Anderson up already too, so what's the point?

2016 Cubs catch-all thread
QUOTE (whitesoxjr27 @ Jun 14, 2016 -> 09:17 AM) Sports Report: Cubs looking at Betances, Miller, Chapman Comcast SportsNet New York Sun, Jun 12 1:29 PM PDT Like Reblog on Tumblr Tweet The Cubs, seeking to improve their bullpen, sent scouts to Yankee Stadium this weekend to watch relievers Andrew Miller, Aroldis Chapman and Dellin Betances, according to George King of the Post. The Cubs, who were 42-18 before Sunday, has a strong closer in Hector Rondon, but are interested in strengthening the rest of their bullpen. The Yankees have been cool to the idea of a deal, but could become more open if they continue to tread water in the AL East. King reported Cubs prospects like infielder Javier Baez or third baseman Jeimer Candelario could be trade targets. ... lol in what world would the Yankees trade Betances? He's under control for cheap for the next 3 years I think. If they trade anyone, it's Chapman.
