  1. Correa is something special. 5-2 Astros.

QUOTE (3GamesToLove @ Oct 11, 2015 -> 09:42 PM) So...if I don't play online, is there almost no point in getting Battlefront? I'm looking to get a PS4 sometime this fall/winter and was looking at the bundles. I have crappy rural satellite internet with a 10GB monthly allotment, so online play is a non-starter for me. There's a single player mode, but it's really not mission based. You can do split-screen or online co-op in that mode as well. I tried it and TBH it's kind of boring. Nothing like the single player missions from past Battlefront games.
  4. Tulo with a 3 run shot. Jays up 5-0.
  5. QUOTE (iamshack @ Oct 11, 2015 -> 04:05 PM) Yeah, but the last two weeks they have been going to Maclin a ton. It started in the second half of the Green Bay game and they were like "oooh, we didn't even know he was on the team!" We must have been taking Maclin away pretty well today. Yeah Smith finally found a receiver he's actually comfortable with.

Played the Battlefront Beta. I liked it a lot.
  7. QUOTE (greg775 @ Oct 11, 2015 -> 02:47 PM) It's gonna make Gordon 18-25 million a year cause his other stats are normal and he's getting old. You need to understand the market is nowhere near what it used to be. The qualifying offer this year is nearly $16 million. Alex Gordon is one of the best defensive LFers in baseball and he gets on base at a .350 clip and hits for decent power. That has a lot of value, especially when teams have trouble scoring runs. Guys like Cespedes are going to get 5-6 years and $25 million a year. It's totally reasonable for Gordon to get 3-4 years and $20 million a year. That's just how the market is. You can get all up in arms about it if you want, but it's not going to change how the free agent market works.
  8. QUOTE (bmags @ Oct 11, 2015 -> 03:24 PM) Yeah watching it up close it is a brutal watch. Was he always THIS conservative? I've watched a lot of Chiefs games cause of Jamaal Charles...and yeah, they usually are that conservative. Charles and Kelce are usually their go-to players for big plays. Without Charles, that offense is pretty stagnant.
  9. QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Oct 11, 2015 -> 03:40 PM) That's hard when your QB can't throw a football 49 yards Remember when Alex Smith used to be able to throw the ball more than 20 yards with the Niners? It's like Reid has a leash on his arm and he's unable to throw it for more than 20 yards.
  10. Charles getting hurt turned the tide of the game. Chiefs didn't get much going after that.
  11. lol looks like they might screw this up.
  12. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Oct 11, 2015 -> 03:10 PM) Unbelievable. Cutler brilliant again. Cutler was really inaccurate today, but he was money when it really mattered.
  13. This was a very unexpected win...assuming we hold on.
  14. QUOTE (greg775 @ Oct 11, 2015 -> 02:20 PM) How could anybody pay Gordon more than 8-10 million a year is beyond me. What a bad signing he'll be for 18-25 million a year. His offensive value is solely by the geek stat OBP. His traditional stats of RBIs, BA and HRs are OK, by no means great. He's a great defensive player. But what is a GM thinking if he pays him 20 million a year for 5-8 years? He's 31 year old Alex Gordon for gawdsakes not some almighty stud. I guess he'd be a good acquisition for the Sox just to get some defense out there. But he's no ultra elite player. OBP is not a geek stat...it's something every team looks at.
  15. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Oct 10, 2015 -> 10:18 PM) Greinke only gave up two homers for an entire game twice in 32 starts. Did it in one sequence tonight. Something is just not gelling with the Dodgers. Puig has been hurt or off his game pretty much the entire year. Pederson and Grandal slumped, along with Rollins. At any rate, we'll see about a billion articles about the 1969 Miracle Mets and the Cubs that season. The psychic karma is worth it just to not have to deal with StL and LA again. That Mets' rotation is just a beast. That's not even counting Matz, Colon and Wheeler. The Dodgers lineup is pretty underwhelming without a healthy and productive Puig. Gonzalez is pretty much the only pop they have in the middle of their lineup.
  16. Utley's slide was dirty as f***. Coghlan's looked clean compared to it. MLB needs to get rid of the takeout slide.
  17. Cardinals are in trouble. Who's going to start game 4? You might as well pencil in game 3 as a win for the Cubs.
  18. QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 10, 2015 -> 05:24 PM) Like the decision to pull Garcia. Gives him a chance to go game 4 maybe. Lynn doesn't look like he's ready at all. 5 straight balls.
  19. Garcia out already...after that awful play on the bunt...he deserves to be out.
  20. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Oct 9, 2015 -> 10:28 PM) I feel like the teams centered around "elite offenses" rarely succeed in the playoffs. Gotta agree here. Remember when the 2000 team scored a ton of runs during the season and couldn't hit to save their lives in the playoffs? The offenses with big power bats usually don't hit anywhere near as well as they do in the regular season. It's the teams that hit consistently that get it done in the playoffs.
  21. Kershaw pitched well last night...he just got really unlucky again.
  22. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 9, 2015 -> 08:34 PM) Tough start for the Cubs, depending on Hammel or Hendricks to get a W in the next 3 starts is not how you want it to go Hendricks is going tomorrow vs. Garcia.
  23. Ball game.
  24. It's interesting the Cardinals are using Wainwright as a reliever. I don't think it'll work as well as it did back in 2006. His stuff just isn't the same anymore.
