QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Sep 25, 2014 -> 01:00 PM) My sim died f***ing Fiona Gallagher. His heart exploded from all the sex. LMAO. But I didn't save the game and I am going to toggle Death off so I won't die. It's way to hard to get everything you want accomplished before you die, and I don't want to continue building this empire house with one of my 7 bastard children. This made me lol.
  2. Those 05 highlights were so nostalgic. PK will go down as one of the greatest in Sox history and I hope his number will be retired soon.
  3. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Sep 25, 2014 -> 12:56 PM) Completely unnecessary first paragraph in an appreciation thread. And the bold is laughable. I'm pretty sure he's being sarcastic.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Sep 24, 2014 -> 10:01 PM) Happy Derrick won. Also heard South Park was pretty good tonight, excited to watch that in an hour. I thought SP was brilliant last night.

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Sep 24, 2014 -> 11:06 PM) The League had another Raffi/Dirty Randy episode tonight, and it was hilarious. Clean Randall and Rafael.
  6. QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 24, 2014 -> 04:48 PM) Someone actively wanted Anquan Boldin? No, someone really wanted Jeremy Maclin. I told him I wanted more than just Morris for Maclin and he offered up Roddy White and Morris. I couldn't say no. I didn't want to just release Boldin so I threw him in there since he's my worst position player. The guy I traded with was stacked at RB (Forte, Morris, Bradshaw, Donald Brown, Miller), but didn't have any great wideouts (White, Colston, Welker). So it was a trade that alleviated both of our problems. I just ended up on the better end of it (at least it seems that way for now).
  7. QUOTE (scs787 @ Sep 24, 2014 -> 04:19 PM) Adam Schefter ‏@AdamSchefter 40m Free agent CB Champ Bailey, who feels healthy, said he is willing to play nickel or safety if that's what it takes to land a job somewhere. Feel like Conte has played well when he's out there, but this is a little intriguing to me. A 36 year old Safety? No thanks. There's a reason Adrian Wilson didn't make this team despite our s***ty safety situation.
  8. So I made a couple of trades... I transformed this: QB Foles HB1 Charles HB2 Stacy WR1 Nelson WR2 Maclin FLEX Sanders RB3 Ridley WR3 Crabtree WR4 Boldin into this... QB Foles HB1 Charles HB2 Morris WR1 Nelson WR2 Sanders FLEX Cobb RB3 Ridley WR3 Crabtree WR4 White Trade 1: Morris and White for Maclin and Boldin Trade 2: Stacy for Cobb I used my WR depth to score Morris. Then I used my RB depth to get Cobb. I had been trying to get Morris for Stacy and this accomplishes that and then some. I basically replace Maclin with Cobb, which I'm fine with. Now I'll have a dilemma every week as to who to start as my WR2 and FLEX. Before you tell me my league's too easy, bear in mind this is a 12 team league that's played together for 4 years now.
  9. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 24, 2014 -> 03:49 PM) Never heard of them, now must have them. Fairly durable too. I had their Slim Armor with my Nexus 5 and I didn't care when I dropped my phone.
  10. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Sep 24, 2014 -> 02:18 PM) I loved the feel of the phone and it didn't feel that big too me. I am looking at the Spigen ultra fit case. It is their thinnest and less protective case they have and it is only $10 on Amazon, figured I would get it just in case I want to have a case on it if I go somewhere. I highly recommend Spigen. They make some of the nicest looking and best quality cases.
  11. QUOTE (knightni @ Sep 24, 2014 -> 11:38 AM) Proposed Zac Stacy and Sammy Watkins for Marshawn Lynch Not enough? Yeah I'd want more for Lynch. Watkins is too inconsistent and Stacy is a volume runner.
  12. QUOTE (dasox24 @ Sep 24, 2014 -> 10:57 AM) Yeah, Steve, you're right. I never logged in to ESPN to accept the trade. It was still sitting out there open. I guess I could have done it from my phone, but I was just waiting until we got home. Technically, there is a 2-day veto period. So trades don't go through for 48 hours. In our league, however, we just ask the commish to push it through without having to wait so that people can make wavier claims, other trades, etc. Like you said, you should never mention a trade to anyone else until it's officially accepted. I know that. But as I mentioned, the only reason I even told him was because I needed his help pushing it through so that I could make waiver claims last night and add a new TE. I certainly would never tell anyone else in our league. Oh, well then that's not as big of a deal. Telling him about it without accepting was an error on your part.
  13. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 24, 2014 -> 05:29 AM) While it was a dick move, it sounds like you never completed the trade. You should hate accepted before telling anyone else. In my league, trades just go through. The commish shouldn't have any extra power. I'm pretty sure the trade was proposed and accepted on the site, the commish just had to approve. So it was technically agreed to and completed and then the commissioner decided to abuse his power.
  14. QUOTE (dasox24 @ Sep 24, 2014 -> 12:19 AM) Alright, I have to pose this scenario and y'all tell me if I have a right to be mad or not. Currently, I'm pretty pissed... My roommate is also my league commissioner for a league with all of our old college buddies. We were out at dinner when I got a trade offer I had worked all day on getting. Our league doesn't do official veto's, so the commish just accepts all trades as soon as the 2 parties agree. So I ask him "Hey, when we get home, will you go ahead and approve a trade I just made?" He says sure, then he asks who I traded for. I tell him because I didn't think it was a big deal. Apparently while we were eating, he texts our buddy who I made the trade with and tells him he'll up the offer and to cancel the one he made to me. That's f***ed up, right? I would never tell anyone else in my fantasy league about a potential trade. But because he's our commish and I need his approval to push it through, I thought it would be fine. He's completely in the wrong, right? If he wasn't the commish, I'd have never even mentioned the trade. He abused his power, correct? I know it's just fantasy football, so I feel a little stupid being mad over this. But I can't help it. The fact that he'd cancel the trade is what's messed up. If he wasn't commissioner, he wouldn't be able to do that.
  15. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Sep 24, 2014 -> 10:10 AM) Quick Google search shows they bend. http://forums.androidcentral.com/htc-one-m...73-bent-m8.html This is exactly what I mean by it's news if Apple is involved, but nobody cares otherwise. It probably is overblown, but your example is of a phone bending that's been out for half a year. And I also searched on Google and found maybe 2-3 forum posts about it. I don't think this is a metal problem, it's a design or manufacturing problem.
  16. So, uh, this is bad. I'm not sure how much force he used exactly, but It looks like it didn't take that much. Not sure if this is a manufacturing defect or a design defect. Either way, Apple's got some work to do. Note 3 bend test: In this case, plastic is actually more durable than metal.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Sep 23, 2014 -> 09:35 PM) So in madden I am accelerating through the hole and my RB keeps pitching or fumbling way backwards. Glitch? You're hitting the left bumper. That's the lateral button.

QUOTE (TRU @ Sep 23, 2014 -> 04:52 PM) That's stupid, why cant I complete streak routes all game that's what real football is. I don't want to have to run slants and option routes, I just want to throw deep bombs to wide open receivers all game. I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic. Real football is not throwing streaks all game. Even the Broncos can't do that.
  19. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Sep 23, 2014 -> 04:50 PM) I don't see a use for it anymore, I erased it and gave it to my wife, the bigger screen on my phone is more than adequate for everything I used the mini for. I have a 5 inch phone and a 7 inch tablet and when I put them next to each other, I don't see how I can prefer the phone for media consumption or even web browsing.

I picked up FIFA 15 today. Between that and Madden, I'm going to do nothing but play video games for a while.
  22. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Sep 23, 2014 -> 02:08 PM) It's big, and anyone that tries to say it's not is lying through their teeth but the thinness of the device helps a LOT in this regard. It feels smaller than it is, and it's pocketable so long as you don't put it in a case and make it 2x as thick as it is, but that being said a bigger person with bigger pockets probably could use a case and not care. The pros/cons I weighed when making the decision were based on the fact that during the day I was an avid iPhone user, but the second I got home or someplace outside of work, I'd put my phone down and use my iPad mini the rest of the time (other than making calls, which I almost never do outside of work these days). The industry moved forward from smaller devices, so it's time to adapt and go big or bigger...the jump from the 4" 5 to the 5.5" 6+ is daunting, but the jump from the 4.7" 6 to the 5.5" 6+ isn't quite as bad. I figured if I was going to get used to a larger size, I may as well just get used to the largest size and replace 2 devices with 1. Of course, this could just be me justifying my purchase...but so far I've not been affected by the size and I've really enjoyed not needing two devices anymore. I'd tell a person that often used a phone/tablet combo that it might be a device they'd like, but if you aren't a tablet user, then I'd avoid the +. I honestly don't think a phablet can effectively replace a tablet. If you want a bigger phone, it's because you want the bigger phone. In the end, a tablet will always be bigger than a phablet and it'll feel different.
  23. QUOTE (raBBit @ Sep 23, 2014 -> 02:38 PM) That's a great deal for you, yes. Shrewd. I didn't want to take the risk with Jordy. Maclin and Sanders are both likely to regress, so I couldn't take the risk of getting rid of my only elite wideout. I ended up trading Maclin and Boldin for Morris and White. It gives me 3 good RBs (Charles, Stacy, Morris) and 4 solid wideouts (Nelson, Sanders, Crabtree, White). The only bummer is that I don't get Morris this week since he plays on Thursday and the trade is processed Friday. I'm short on players this week since Stacy and Sanders have a bye too, so that kind of sucks. I'll probably have to play White as my flex.
  24. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Sep 23, 2014 -> 01:52 PM) Haven't experienced the WiFi speed issue, however, my friends phone has issues scanning for WiFi networks from time to time (sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, and we can't reproduce it at will), but also doesn't experience slow WiFi issues. Haven't experienced the battery drain issue, but I've seen this happen in previous releases of iOS, seems restore specific...I always do a fresh install on a new series phone, so that may attribute as to why I've always avoided the issue. HAVE experienced the increased app crash issue a number of times. HAVE experienced 3rd party keyboard issues. HAVE experienced input issues on certain websites through Safari. This just in, large aluminum phones bend, but so do small ones...I remember this same issue cropping up with the iPhone 5 bending when people sat on it or did something else I consider ridiculous. Anecdotal, but I've been carrying my 6+ in my pocket since Friday and it's not bent...I attribute this to people being careless, as I've seen far too many iOS and Android devices smashed, shattered or otherwise bent/broken over the years and I just don't understand what the f*** people are doing with these devices... EDIT: Oh, and if Steve Jobs was still alive, iOS8 would be completely bug free, and the aluminum shell/glass panels on the iPhone 6/6+ would be indestructible. So you got a 6+? Do you consider it big at all?

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 22, 2014 -> 05:06 PM) I've enjoyed it. That said, NHL 15 and Destiny have kinda taken over. I swear, the first games of Madden are enjoyable, and then suddenly it always becomes impossible to do anything but slant routes without getting intercepted. Madden on higher difficulties forces you to play smart. You can't go throwing streaks all game, it doesn't work. They're opportunistic plays you take advantage of every once in a while when you catch a one-on-one. You have to run a balanced offense on all-pro and all-madden. Runs up the middle are incredibly effective this year. Mesh and stick plays work great in this year's game. You're not going to get much more than 10 yards on them, but that's part of the game. Control the tempo of the game and run the clock. Personally I'm not real good on defense so I have to control the clock to beat teams.
