  1. Cutler may have been kind of a goat in the first game, but he was absolutely spot-on when it mattered in this one. Those two throws he made on the last drive were money.
  2. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 14, 2014 -> 10:48 PM) That's one of the best Bears games ever. Biggest comeback since that crazy game against Arizona in 2006. I think it's one of the best Bears comebacks I've ever seen (I've been watching since ~2000). The change in the game from the first to the second half was so drastic. We couldn't buy a first down in the first half. We barely had an incomplete pass in the second half. Absolutely amazing adjustments by Trestman at the half, although he deserved to get blasted for the play calling in the first half. Losing Peanut will hurt, but Fuller looks to be pretty damn good.
  3. What happened to Tillman?
  4. There was a blatant offensive pass interference on Johnson though.
  5. I don't think Tillman caught that.
  6. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 14, 2014 -> 07:41 PM) Blatant delay of game missed Yup they were late by almost 2 seconds.
  7. You can thank Perry for most of that. What kind of idiot takes a kick out when it's 8 yards deep in the end zone?
  8. Perry is an awful returner
  9. Apparently AP told the kid's mom he nailed the kid in the balls. WTF?
  10. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Sep 13, 2014 -> 04:27 AM) BETTER battery life? I've already squeezed 70 hours out of my G2 at one point. That's what I've heard. Edit: http://bgr.com/2014/06/09/lg-g3-blows-riva...-monster-specs/

QUOTE (danman31 @ Sep 12, 2014 -> 05:55 PM) Yeah, I'm starting to pick up on that subtlety. It seemed easier to turn defenders the wrong way, but I don't think it was a high difficulty level. From what I could see, there was no way to change the difficulty so I'm not sure what I was playing. I think the difficulty almost changed from game to game. I lost a game 3-0 somehow and I couldn't get the ball away from the other team, but I've won every other game by 2. Maybe it was just that one game.
  12. QUOTE (SleepyWhiteSox @ Sep 12, 2014 -> 08:28 PM) Yeah but there's also rumors that it could be bigger, like 5.9 big I really doubt they'd make a 6 inch Nexus phone.
  13. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Sep 12, 2014 -> 04:50 PM) Yeah, if I were to get a new phone right now, the first one I would look at is the G3. I've heard amazing things about it, and currently owning the G2, I can't even imagine how they improved it so much. They managed to improve the battery life with a bigger and higher resolution screen. I played around with it at Best Buy and I was blown away at how small the phone was given that it had a 5.5 inch screen. Even though the back was plastic, it felt pretty good in the hand since it wasn't glossy. Build quality seemed pretty good.
  14. QUOTE (MurcieOne @ Sep 12, 2014 -> 03:56 PM) Uh-oh So many high profile names getting in trouble with the law. It's been a rough year for the NFL.
  15. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Sep 12, 2014 -> 03:02 PM) digging for dirt, and showing everyone the dirt you found Exactly. TMZ has some of the worst journalistic integrity out there. Praising that site for journalism just seems wrong.
  16. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 12, 2014 -> 03:01 PM) Yet can you deny TMZ "broke" two of the biggest stories in sports history? Sterling and the ultimate firing of Goodell? I mean, they wrote articles and published tapes which traditional journalism outlets do. So what do you call this? TMZ is a celebrity gossip website who happened to get their hands on some tapes and surveilence footage.
  17. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 12, 2014 -> 02:56 PM) Kudos to TMZ for getting the tape. Now TMZ has gotten an NBA owner to be replaced (that was their expose on Sterling), Ray Rice suspended and an NFL owner likely canned. WOW. That's pretty powerful "journalism" work. Unprecedented journalism work. Of course they probably paid for the tape which is journalistically unethical I believe. That said ... Ray Rice can never play football again. He knocked out a woman for gosh sakes. There are no excuses. How could any GM/owner sign off on acquiring Rice in the future? People make mistakes, sure, but you can't sign a person who knocks out a woman with a punch. You just can't. And all these people that are speaking out like the announcer of the Niners who got suspended two games. What are they thinking? That guy got a 2 game suspension for saying stupid things. TMZ is not journalism.
  18. QUOTE (SleepyWhiteSox @ Sep 12, 2014 -> 02:03 PM) I'd wait to see the battery size for the new Nexus. Sad to see that the new moto x didn't go with a bigger battery. Those 2 were the phones I was considering at this point as a potential next phone for me. If the past is any indication, it won't be that big. I think they're going to up the screen size to about 5.2 inches (like the new Moto X) and hopefully give the battery a 500 mAH bump.

QUOTE (danman31 @ Sep 12, 2014 -> 02:54 PM) I have to say the presentation blew me away. They've always done well in this regard, but, man, what a step forward this year. Gameplay felt pretty much the same though. Felt like there were some more animations at work, but almost identical so far. That's fine, subtle changes are all that's needed. I feel like the way the players dribble feels a lot more refined and realistic. It's not as fast as it was last year, which I like.
  20. QUOTE (Jake @ Sep 12, 2014 -> 01:22 PM) I would also endorse the HTC One M8. You'll get the quickest software updates from HTC as well. My M7 is ~18 months old and I still love it. The criticisms of "will the phone even be good at the end of your contract?" aren't true with these devices, IMO In other news, it appears Windows 9 will have a notification center. I'm so happy about that. It was such an obvious omission - they built these nice notifications into the 8/8.1, but once they disappeared, they were just gone. Windows 8 did have lockscreen notifications.
  21. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Sep 12, 2014 -> 11:38 AM) I'd probably listen to this advice. Touchwiz takes up a ton of memory, so their 2gigs they brag about are mostly used by stuff you really don't know about or even want. I agree with him on the HTC one M8, my friend has it and it's the FIRST Android phone I was ever somewhat jealous of...and this is me talking...so, that kind of means something. I also like HTC Sense 6 quite a bit. I'll probably never use a manufacturer skin full-time, but if I had to, I'd use Sense. Their design language is extremely close to Material Design and it's a fairly light-weight skin.
  22. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Sep 12, 2014 -> 12:13 PM) As someone who has a busted S4 (now back on my old Iphone)...I'll third this. If I were to by an android device, I'd probably wait and get the latest google phone...it will have the least bloatware of any device. Just my 2 cents. I don't know how much Samsung's bloatware differs from HTC or anyone elses. All that said...all of these phones will work for what most of us use them for...calls / messaging / email / surfing web and both android / apple have huge app library to provide you with as many or little apps as you want. A lot of the bloatware is from the carriers. HTC usually keeps their phones pretty clean of stuff you don't want, but that may not be the case for AT&T or Verizon. T-Mobile phones basically have no bloatware since they're sold unlocked. Google controls everything on their Nexus phones (which is why they don't work with Verizon anymore), so they have no bloatware or carrier-installed apps.
  23. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 12, 2014 -> 10:17 AM) Jeff Passan ‏@JeffPassan 1h Tooth lodged in cheek. Hole in lip so big doc's index finger fit in it. And get this: Giancarlo Stanton still wants to return this season. Craig Minervini ‏@CraigMinervini 7h #Giancarlo in good spirits, saying he was uplifted by his mates. Dental work on 3 teeth in Miami. Fractures will heal, no surgery expected Owww.
