QUOTE (bmags @ Jun 18, 2014 -> 10:15 AM) Bill Simmons tweeting that the Celts are in the lead to land Love with the Warriors not wanting to rid K. Thompson and Bulls focusing on Melo. And the race to end up with neither begins. Why would Love want to go to Boston...?

QUOTE (lostfan @ Jun 16, 2014 -> 10:15 PM) It's not so much that he's bad (he's not) as much as he's talked about by Bulls fans like he's a tick below Paul George (who was also badly overrated at the start of last season because of excess playoff hype). And the moronic "I don't want Melo if we have to give up Butler" type comments. but but but DEFENSE I get so tired of talking about the Bulls defense too, when the offense is so bad... it reminds me of all those one-dimensional Lovie teams Yeah, those comments annoy me too. When you can get a superstar in the NBA, you go out and get him. You worry about the details like chemistry later.

QUOTE (lostfan @ Jun 16, 2014 -> 08:12 PM) Jimmy Butler is the most overrated Bulls player probably in franchise history. There, I said it. I wouldn't say 7 win shares in each of the past two seasons is bad. He'll never be Kawhi Leonard, but he's definitely a good role player you can stick at the 2 or 3 and have him defend just about anyone. BTW, his 7.1 win shares last year was 41st in all of basketball (5th among SGs). Just ahead of Kyrie Irving. Butler also had a higher WS/48 than Irving.

2014 FIFA World Cup
I wasn't able to watch the game, but I sure wish I did. Jozy just can't catch a break. Hopefully, Dempsey's nose isn't too broken.

RIP Tony Gwynn
RIP Tony. One of the most consistent hitters in baseball history. Looking over his stats, he's never had a wRC+ under 100 in ANY season. That's incredible. He hit over .300 in every season but his first, where he only played 54 games and hit .289.

QUOTE (zenryan @ Jun 15, 2014 -> 10:13 PM) Messi seemed a little off, maybe trying to do too much with all the pressure on his shoulders. Wouldnt call him terrible. He was also triple teamed once he got near the box.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jun 16, 2014 -> 09:17 AM) If they did that, it would be a incredibly wrong and misguided assumption on their part. The Spurs roster is so much better than the Bulls it isnt even funny. According to our favorite Cowley, the front office is going to go balls to the wall to make this roster better for next season Unfortunately, for them, that's signing Kevin Martin.

QUOTE (Knuckles @ Jun 16, 2014 -> 12:06 AM) LOL. Chris Bosh would be a 20 PPG scorer with excellent efficiency on just about any other team. He also won't kill you defensively at the 4.

QUOTE (almagest @ Jun 15, 2014 -> 11:47 PM) I'm guessing he and Wade will push hard for Carmelo. Bosh is probably the odd man out. I'd love to have Bosh in a Bulls uniform as a plan C to Love and Melo.

I like how DWade was wide open but LeBron just decided he'd go against a double team. LeBron's not gonna let DWade chuck mid-range shots today.

QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 15, 2014 -> 07:54 PM) Spurs look ready to win again The Heat couldn't keep up the defensive intensity they started the game with all game, that's just not possible.

QUOTE (Melissa1334 @ Jun 15, 2014 -> 07:44 PM) Yea I don't think he's letting the heat lose lol , atleast even after all that in the first , only 7 point lead LeBron is in HAM mode, there's no question about that.

Parker and Green are killing the Spurs with their terrible shooting. 0-9 so far combined.

Good job by the Spurs to keep this game within reach after being down 14 early.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 15, 2014 -> 06:58 PM) Argentina giving up a late goal there to make things a BIT interesting. Shouldn't have been that close. I had that game as 2-1 in my pool, so that was good.

Technology catch-all thread
QUOTE (Y2HH @ Jun 14, 2014 -> 07:52 AM) As a previous poster said, they give you more screen real estate (which instantly gives them a real world use case), and the sharpness will be there if you look at a close enough range, but studies have shown that an unaided human eye cannot see above 300dpi unless they're holding the screen closer than it was designed to be held. At normal use distance, MOST people wouldn't be able to differentiate anything above 300dpi, that being said, there are people with better vision than others, but for the average person, the dpi's modern devices use are already higher than we can distinguish. My eyes are no longer good enough to see a difference without having to TRY to see it (ie, holding it closer than I would if using it, etc.) I wouldn't mind a desktop with 4k though, because then I can have a billion windows open in their own space on my screen all at once. Well really, it depends on how far away you're holding the screen. What exactly is the distance that the phone was "designed" to be held at?

Oh hey, a former top prospect. Didn't he get traded for Brett Wallace?
