  1. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Dec 9, 2013 -> 09:40 PM) I think he's been listening to all the praise in here and getting a big head. Back to the basics Josh. Exactly. His game is in the mid-range. He doesn't have the arm to keep throwing deep. It's also a lot easier to defend the big play when that's all you run.
  2. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Dec 9, 2013 -> 09:24 PM) At MLE-level salary, you only need to be better than people like Landry Fields or John Salmons for it to make sense. Eh, the Rudy Gay of this year and last year haven't been much better. Give Fields or Salmons the same volume of shots and they might actually be better.
  3. McCown's almost thrown two picks so far in the second half. Two dodged bullets.
  4. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 9, 2013 -> 09:24 PM) A bit higher and that's a td I think the 06 line was better. They made Rex Grossman look really good for half a season.
  5. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Dec 9, 2013 -> 07:57 PM) Geez, quote from a Zach Lowe article... I get not wanting his contract, but not even for the MLE? Unless you have Lebron, Durant, Melo or George, he's easily worth that risk, especially when you look at the kind of guys that frequently get more than that. Considering all the articles about how Rudy Gay hates the idea of advanced metrics being brought up, I'm not surprised some GMs are souring on him. Hell, he banned advanced metrics summaries from being distributed in the Toronto locker room after the game. I know he doesn't like to hear how he's not a good player and all, but if you're not looking to improve your deficiencies, you don't have the drive to be an all-star in the NBA.
  6. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 9, 2013 -> 09:10 PM) That works out to be four rookies. Who are most likely going to be replacement level players. If Paulino is even remotely healthy, he's easily a 1-2 win starter.
  7. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 9, 2013 -> 09:13 PM) I don't know that I would go there, but that is yearly highlight material. Jeffrey is a better big play receiver I think. Marshall is obviously more experienced and trustworthy on the routine plays, but if you need a big play, you go to Alshon.
  8. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Dec 9, 2013 -> 09:08 PM) Money seems like a lot for what we will get...but hopefully it works out. $2 million in the free agent market these days is chump change.
  9. QUOTE (Jake @ Dec 9, 2013 -> 09:03 PM) Jeffery might be the best WR on this team. Also, I see no need for Jay Cutler on this team. At some point, the way this team is playing w/ McCown stops being a fluke. I think Cutler deserves a shot when he finally does become healthy (if he does this season at all). If he plays like he did before he got hurt, then yeah, I don't see a need for him. McCown's been one of the best QBs in football since taking over. If Cutler can't do better than a 34 year old journeyman in this system, then he'll never live up to his talent.
  10. Alshon Jeffrey might just be better than Brandon Marshall.
  11. The holding penalty totally killed that drive. This Bears offense gets a ton of yards, but they have issues finishing drives in the red zone. With the yardage we get, we should put up 30+ every game under McCown. Instead, we've only done that once since he's gotten playing time.
  12. Murray's pretty good, but he shouldn't be getting 8 yards a carry, even against the s***ty Bears run defense.
  13. I like it. He was good before he got hurt.
  14. The only team I actually care about is going to score around 160...during my bye week in the playoffs. Hoping for a repeat next week when it actually matters.
  15. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 9, 2013 -> 12:50 PM) Jeff Passan ‏@JeffPassan 51m In order to trade Chris Sale, sources say, White Sox would be looking for a package much bigger than what David Price is expected to get. Well of course. Sale has way more years of control and is MUCH cheaper. Did I mention that he's better?
  16. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Dec 9, 2013 -> 08:46 AM) Random rant: how the hell is Denver 12-8? Their best player is Lawson (solid, but probably not an All-star out west) and their second best is....Faried? Chandler? I don't even know. I thought this would be a diaster season until Gallinari returned, instead they're pretty good. I think one of the most surprising things this year is Jordan Crawford becoming a pretty good point guard. He's shooting efficiently and he's dishing out 5 assists a game. WTF is going on?
  17. Two year deal max. Anything more would be disgusting.
  18. This Philly Detroit game is crazy.
  19. The Yankees are going to need to get an actual 3B. This Beltran signing didn't make a ton of sense. It allows them to DH Soriano, but it's much easier to get a DH than a 3B.
  20. QUOTE (Tex @ Dec 7, 2013 -> 03:05 PM) So I understand, there is nothing wrong in fighting a war to take someone's land. You want it, you have the military strength, so go take it. Manifest destiny b****es! But seriously, Duke probably thinks colonization and enslaving Africans was also ok since the Europeans "won the war" and "wanted the land more".
  21. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Dec 6, 2013 -> 12:18 PM) Is it Kubiak's fault that Schaub is Carson Palmer 2.0 or is it Schaub's fault? Kubiak didn't make Schaub throw those pick 6s.
  22. Well that's a group of absolute horror. The U.S. is going to have a very small margin of error.
  23. Is Duke trolling? Because what he's been saying in this thread is offensive, even by internet standards...
  24. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Dec 5, 2013 -> 09:42 AM) Aren't, other then the Nexus, most of the other phones about the same price unlocked. I know the S4 is somewhere between 600 & 700 depending on the carrier (retail). Yes, for the most part. Smartphones are way too expensive for what they are.
  25. QUOTE (Jake @ Dec 4, 2013 -> 06:29 PM) I read that the next gen of iPhones might be covered in Sapphire glass, which is supposedly practically impossible to scratch or break. A phone that I can't damage is something that could tempt me back to the dark side... If that's the case, then a screen made of sapphire might finally justify the price tag of an iPhone (around $700 unlocked).
