QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 14, 2013 -> 05:50 PM) Forced to use a pin or password because of work email. Only reason I have a pin. I usually use a pattern on mine.

QUOTE (danman31 @ Sep 14, 2013 -> 03:52 AM) GTA 5 is only 16 GB? Uncharted 2 and 3 were bigger than that. How can an open world game the size they are advertising not be a gigantic file? GTA games usually aren't that big. They don't really have video files per say. Everything is rendered on the spot. That will make the game smaller on its own. Plus, Rockstar probably uses better compression. Uncharted is a PS3 exclusive and they get to use the whole Blu Ray. Being cross-platform, Rockstar had to fit the game on a DVD for the 360, so they probably compressed the s*** out of everything.
  3. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Sep 14, 2013 -> 05:34 PM) If there was a White Sox catch-all thread, I would have put this there, but....I digress... He just made a really interesting point to a caller who said our drafts every year are a bust.... According to Rick, he said from the 2008-2011 drafts, we lead all of baseball in accumulated WAR of those drafted player while we are DEAD LAST in dollars spent on those drafted player from 2008-1011. Interesting. It's weird to see our GM citing advanced metrics. Sale, Reed, and Jones have all been very valuable the last two years. The issue with this organization is that we can't draft good position players. We've spent the majority of our picks on high ceiling athletes in recent drafts and most of them have been complete busts.
  4. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Sep 13, 2013 -> 10:17 AM) Look at Luol's. Luol's not a very efficient scorer either. A lot of his value comes from his defense.
  5. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Sep 12, 2013 -> 11:52 PM) Not really what? I said solid. You might have a different definition of solid than I do. A 17.2 PER as a rook is hardly awful. If it is, Bulls fans need to stop slobbing Luol Deng, who is painfully overrated (though I suspect Jimmy Butler will take Luol's title). And the Bulls employ Carlos Boozer. That alone should prove elite team defense can cover up individual abominations. Look at his shooting efficiency.
  6. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Sep 12, 2013 -> 11:26 PM) I disagree completely. I will not deny that he's been horses*** the last two years. His first three years were solid, if not spectacular. 6'10 with the ability to shoot it and put the ball on the floor is nothing to scoff at. And the dude is 24. On the right team (he's on the right team) with the right coaching (spoelstra is a top 5 coach in the game) there's more than enough talent/skill for him to succeed - if , of course, he's got his dome straight. http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/b/beaslmi01.html Not really. He's been awful the last two years, but he wasn't that much better before. He's just not an efficient offensive player and he's lazy on defense.
  7. I just picked up Terrelle Pryor. I also have Kaepernick. I'm sort of nervous about Kaepernick against Seattle's defense. They shut down Cam Newton last week. Kaepernick also wasn't great in Seattle last year (he put up 16 fantasy points in that game last year). I know this shouldn't even be a question...but Kaep or Pryor?
  8. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Sep 12, 2013 -> 10:58 PM) Yeah we switched to ppr this year. So f***ing stupid. I made yards worth half of the default (20 yards per point) so that receivers don't go wild. But this makes guys like Edelman and RBs who can catch more valuable.
  9. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Sep 12, 2013 -> 10:53 PM) If you told me I was playing against a guy who had Edelman tonight, and he caught 13 passes, I would have thought he had 150+ yards with 2-3 TDs. Nope, instead it's only like 78 yards and 7 fantasy pts. Even though Ridley sucked, Edelman didn't stack up many pts either. Only down 7 to 4. He got 19 in my PPR league.
  10. Brady's receivers f***ed him out of a few points tonight.
  11. The Pats offense looks pretty bad.
  12. Edelman is such a PPR monster
  13. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Sep 12, 2013 -> 09:25 AM) David Wilson. Do you start him or not? FWIW, I played Madden last night (Broncos @ Giants) and Wilson torched me for 130 yards on the ground and 70 in the air.

Bryan Cranston's pizza throw was the best.
  15. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Sep 11, 2013 -> 11:05 PM) Wow, Derek Jeter has only played 17 games this season and has somehow managed to put up a -0.6 WAR. That's incredible. That's almost a -6.0 WAR over a full season. WOW. To be fair, he was playing defense while he was still hurt. Jeter's already a bad defensive SS, playing hurt only made him worse.
  16. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Sep 11, 2013 -> 07:26 PM) <!--quoteo(post=2866810:date=Sep 11, 2013 -> 07:10 PM:name=Chilihead90)-->QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Sep 11, 2013 -> 07:10 PM) <!--quotec-->Meh. I'm careful with my phone. Still, this can always happen... I remember this. I lived right down the street at the time, haha.

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Sep 11, 2013 -> 03:54 PM) In some awesome news, Saul Goodman officially gets a prequel spin-off show! http://www.slate.com/blogs/browbeat/2013/0..._happening.html Now we will still have something to watch after Breaking Bad! wooo!
  18. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Sep 11, 2013 -> 01:18 PM) I'm sure you didn't, but I hope you dropped someone else for Edelman, not White. Indeed. His whole train of thought on Bowe made sense to me. You read his book? Great stuff in there about things different leagues do, etc. Haha, no I didn't.
  19. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Sep 11, 2013 -> 02:30 AM) Can you seriously sell a 5 for more than $300? I have a 32 gig 5 and if I could get that much for it Id upgrade in a second. I always assumed you took a bigger loss when reselling a cell phone. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?LH_ItemCond...+5&LH_BIN=1 You can probably get $450 after eBay takes their chunk of your sale.
  20. I got Jordan Cameron off waivers in one league to replace Gates and Edelman in another to replace Roddy White.
  21. QUOTE (kev211 @ Sep 10, 2013 -> 10:54 PM) All I know is I bought apple care for my 5 when I bought it last year and if it breaks in the next year and they give me one of those piece of s*** plastic 5c phones as a replacement I'm going to be furious. Since they discontinued the 5 I imagine this is what will happen. That would be infuriating. That case with the circled holes in it looks like Crocs.
  22. QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 10, 2013 -> 09:12 PM) I tried preordering a 5S but can't order until the 20th. I can get $300 for my 5 off Gazelle so technically can make $100. You can sell it for more on eBay. Gazelle is for lazy people without a eBay and Paypal account.
  23. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Sep 10, 2013 -> 02:55 PM) Gotta free some room up in 2015, no? Even if they get rid of Boozer's salary, I don't know if it's enough to get a SF of Deng's caliber. Look at what Iggy got this offseason. Edit: They have $41 million on the books for 2015-2016, but I believe that's only for maybe 4 rotation players (Noah, Rose, Gibson, Butler). $60 million on the books for 2014-2015, if you take off Boozer's salary, then maybe you're at $43 million. Then you'd have to pay Mirotic (assuming he's not horrible). So you might have around $10 million to spend on a Deng replacement in free agency.
  24. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Sep 10, 2013 -> 02:49 PM) Saw a blurb on Rotoworld that said he's going to test free agency While Deng's a good player, I think he's replaceable. I just don't know if the Bulls will have any cap room to sign a decent replacement.
