  1. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Jun 25, 2013 -> 02:02 PM) They certainly are a creative group. Why they would do that is beyond me. Deng's a nice complimentary piece, but he's not the piece the Bulls need to get to the next level.
  2. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jun 25, 2013 -> 10:07 PM) I'm on a roll with my predictions. You mind predicting a 20 game winning streak so I can start really caring again?
  3. Alexei makes up for his f*** up on Sunday.
  4. QUOTE (winninguglyin83 @ Jun 25, 2013 -> 10:02 PM) I hope these guys all have good golf games, otherwise I don't know what they did in spring training. Robin was probably too lazy and just let them do whatever the hell they wanted to do.
  5. All De Aza needs to do is hit a fly ball deep enough.
  6. QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Jun 25, 2013 -> 09:59 PM) I don't know whether to be laughing or be pissed off, so I'm doing a little of both. I can't get mad anymore at this team. I have no emotional investment at this point. This is 2007 all over again.
  7. Well, at least there's a good chance of winning this one now.
  8. How does a team that was pretty good defensively last season turn into an utter piece of s*** in the field the next year with pretty much the same personnel?
  9. I can't even attach a PDF to my emails on the iOS Gmail app? WTF?
  10. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jun 24, 2013 -> 11:53 AM) Time for the NBA2k trade machine hat... Bulls In: #1 Pick Cavs In: Deng, #20 Then... Bulls In: Kevin Garnett Nets In: Boozer Celtics In: Humphries, Brooks, Teague Bulls then buy a 2nd round pick to go along with their 2nd rounder. The Mizzou fan in me would love to see them draft Pressey and Oriakhi, but any PG and big will do. Sign Pierce Sign Marco and Nazr for the vet minimum. PG: Rose/Hinrich/2nd Rounder SG: Oladipo/Bellinelli SF: Butler/Pierce PF: Garnett/Taj/Thomas C : Noah/Nazr/2nd Rounder There is no way we sign Paul Pierce to play backup SF. No way he agrees to that. And Oladipo with the #1 pick?
  11. I activated 4G LTE on my Nexus 4 yesterday, only to find that I don't get good LTE coverage area from T-Mobile. I got 1 bar. Ping was around 30-40 ms, but speeds were much slower than HSPA+ at 3-4 mbps. Back to HSPA+ for me.
  12. QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 23, 2013 -> 11:10 PM) lulz Other than detracting from potentially good conversation, the thing that gets me is that you know somebody will read this rogue post about a product and then they will pull the trigger. I mean, what can you possibly argue about when talking about the S4 and HTC One? That the S4 is made of cheap plastic and that the HTC One has a gimmicky Ultrapixel camera? Who cares? I can understand discussing the advantages of different operating systems as they're all fairly different, but these are both Android phones. They more or less do the same stuff. The only thing that's different is that they look a bit different on the software side and very different from a physical standpoint. But that's supposed to be a good thing about Android.
  13. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 23, 2013 -> 10:46 PM) Deng for the #1 pick? Done in a heartbeat. Problem is it will never happen. Maybe a number 5 pick, but not #1, even in a mediocre draft class like this year's.
  14. QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 23, 2013 -> 10:43 PM) I've been posting at some Android/tech forums and good lord are these people crazy. First there was Apple vs Android, now there is Samsung vs HTC. Christ, who gives a f***. People won't acknowledge the shortcomings of the product they purchased because they're crazy. I've noticed that buyers of the One/S4 are roughly equally defensive of their purchase on these forums, but Samsung people tend to be Samsung people while HTC One buyers are not loyal to HTC so much as they are to the One. Either way, I guess this just happens with all consumer products no matter how subtle the differences, etc. Dude, Nexus master race. Samsung is s*** and HTC is Hitler. And I'm pretty sure Apple were the original Nazis. Go read http://reddit.com/r/androidcirclejerk. It's the best subreddit ever (and most of it is sarcasm that mocks exactly what you said above).
  15. AT&T has a loophole right now. You can get a phone for 50% off even if you do their month to month plans. So I just ordered an HTC One for $340 with overnight shipping. I'll just never activate my SIM and cancel the month-to-month (no ETF) after I get the phone. I'm just hoping AT&T doesn't notice and ships the phone.
  16. QUOTE (bmags @ Jun 23, 2013 -> 05:01 PM) Yes. Enjoying the little Google things, like their type correction. It's a very fast phone. But, the iPhone touch screen is still the best imo. Love the camera software on here, and blinkfeed really was easy to ignore. What exactly do you mean by that? That the iPhone screen is better because it's better for one handed use or that the iPhone screen is more responsive? Because if it's the latter, I honestly don't think there are any real differences between touch screen responsiveness on today's flagship phones and tablets. Most of the OEMs use comparable touch screen digitizers and glass screens (some variant of Corning Gorilla glass).
  17. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 22, 2013 -> 05:01 PM) So they're making a laptop that runs slower and is less responsive than a laptop. Windows 8 has very few apps. Android has a lot more. That's why they're doing this.

QUOTE (TaylorStSox @ Jun 21, 2013 -> 06:27 PM) Pushing to a TV as opposed to a monitor? You won't notice the hardware's shortcomings on the PS3 or 360 as much on a TV when you're sitting 6-7 feet away. But that's not my point. At this point in time, if MS and Sony were to stick to their current hardware, game developers couldn't have milked much more out of it. We're talking about a 6 year old video card (the current generation of integrated graphics in Intel processors can probably outperform the GPU of a 360) and CPUs that are more or less unwanted (IBM doesn't really even want to design PowerPC CPUs anymore). Not to mention finding people who could optimize for the PS3's cell processor was a pain in the ass for a lot of developers. So with a very well known architecture (x86) as the backbone of the PS4 and Xbox One (meaning more software engineers who will know what they are doing), you're looking at faster advancement in graphics and optimization. Sure, the games that are launching with the systems won't look THAT different than those you see on PS3 and Xbox 360 when you're sitting 6-7 feet away, but in a year or two, you'll ask yourself how you were able to play those ugly games on the PS3 and 360.
  19. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Jun 21, 2013 -> 11:04 AM) Windows 8 is a fine idea on touch devices...the issue is they forced it onto non-touch devices, and it frustrated people. It's a horrible interface for a mouse/keyboard, while it's a great interface for touch. You just need the right mouse. I don't mind it too much on my non-touch screen laptop. I got a made-for-Windows 8 mouse that take me to the start screen when I click the middle button and it does some other useful actions that you can configure. But I agree, the implementation was bad to say the least.
  20. QUOTE (Knuckles @ Jun 21, 2013 -> 09:49 PM) https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=479859732103070 Once a tool, always a tool. LeBron should start a rap career and name himself 2Ringz.
  21. It's opposite day, where the Sox hit pitchers they usually can't touch. I don't think the Sox have scored more than 4 runs off Guthrie in his last 4-5 starts against us.
  22. What in the world is going on? First Guthrie, now Bruce Chen?

QUOTE (TaylorStSox @ Jun 21, 2013 -> 11:17 AM) I thought it was interesting insight to what they were thinking. With the PS4, you're basically buying a new console for no good reason. The hardware isn't good enough to make a dramatic difference in gaming experiences. I'm sure most companies with a 90% market share wouldn't consider themselves to be "fighting for their lives." I'm actually surprised Microsoft shifted because the XBox division has never been all that profitable. You cannot be serious. If you've ever played a Xbox 360 or PS3 game up close and then play the same game on a PC with the latest GPU and CPU technology (which is what the Xbox One and PS4 more or less have) on the highest settings (provided it's not a s***ty port), the difference is huge. Especially in texture detail and anti-aliasing. A lot of you say The Last of Us is a good looking game. To me, it's a good looking game for the PS3. But when I sit close to my monitor to play it, I see all these jaggies and I'm just not impressed. Because my PC and its 2 year old video card give me better visuals. You're talking about a 6 year technological upgrade when you compare the hardware of the PS4 and PS3. That's a huge difference. You may not see the drastic differences in the games yet, but it'll come.
