QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Oct 30, 2012 -> 03:11 PM) The Twins aren't poor anymore. They're not rich either. Nor are they in the position of picking up a $15 million a year pitcher who's nearing his mid 30s.

QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Oct 30, 2012 -> 01:35 AM) greg is not going to like this. Just heard on Sports Center, that he most likely will be available with Royals seeking starting pitching. Love his glove. His bat should get better, but who knows by how much. He hasn't really developed the plate discipline so far.

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Oct 29, 2012 -> 03:47 PM) I assume you are being sarcastic, considering they just sent $8M to Arizona a week ago. That was to get rid of somebody they didn't want. Why do the Marlins not want Buehrle? If they think he's too expensive, then they probably shouldn't be willing to eat some of his contract.

QUOTE (Benchwarmerjim @ Oct 29, 2012 -> 11:13 AM) according to the article, if a trade happens, the Marlins are willing to eat a lot of salary. But it depends on the propect(s) they receive. the better the prospect, the more they eat. The Twins have a lot of salary coming off the books (30-35 mil..somewhere around there) and there is more and more talk about trading Morneau (14 mil I believe). The Marlins never send money to anyone else.

What makes any of you think the Twins have the money to keep Buehrle? His contract is extremely backloaded.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Oct 28, 2012 -> 05:46 PM) Manu has never made max money. He's actually turned down less money to stay in SA. Harden wanted no part of that. The dude needed the extra money to get his teeth fixed. Who can blame him?

After reading a Deadspin article about how the T-Wolves' roster is 2/3 white, I realized that their starting lineup could likely be all white at some point this year. Rubio, Ridnour, AK47, Love, Pekovic. What's David Kahn trying to do here?

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 28, 2012 -> 04:45 PM) What an absolutely strange strategy to completely go away from Hester, especially considering his current season It was ugly, but a W is a W That was the dumbest s*** I've ever seen. Give a struggling offense the ball at the 40 all game... Makes so much sense.

QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 28, 2012 -> 04:11 PM) With the way he was running, for Forte to only have 15 carries is a joke. Forte was getting 7-8 yard runs and Tice would always start throwing the ball after Forte single-handedly got the team a first down. What's worse is that the run blocking was great in the majority of the first half and the pass blocking sucked ass. Yet, Tice still passed the ball more. Then the Panthers smartened up in the second half and Forte couldn't get anything.

QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Oct 28, 2012 -> 03:26 PM) Well Steve Smith has always had success vs the Bears defense. He has always been a bad matchup for us. Even when Jennings had seemingly good coverage he was making plays for most of the game. I seriously thought the game was over when Smith almost one-handed that pass on the Panthers' last drive.

Dwyer > Bradshaw looking good so far. Although I probably should have sat Steven Jackson for Bradshaw. I'm hoping he gets traded. I need Decker, Witten, and Dan Bailey to not score 49 points.

The Bears finally figure out that they were playing the Carolina defense late in the game. It's very odd that of all teams, the Panthers would have the best offensive game vs. the Bears.

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Oct 28, 2012 -> 02:36 PM) I mean, if I wanted to do that, I'd just upgrade my current laptop to Windows 8 for much cheaper. New higher-end Windows 8 laptops have touch screens. Some of them are convertible. So tablet and notebook in one. I'd much rather get that than pay extra for the MS Surface. The x86 version of the Surface will cost around $800.
