  1. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 10, 2012 -> 09:53 PM) I told y'all he passed the eye test a few games ago. Thankfully I added him in both of my fantasy leagues after that performance off the bench. He is awesome. He's been awesome for me this week in a big game in my head to head points league.
  2. I believe in Jeremy Lin. And SMH to people comparing Lin to Tebow. Tebow's stats blew hard. Lin's producing like an MVP over the past four games.
  3. QUOTE (JorgeFabregas @ Feb 10, 2012 -> 08:22 PM) Correct me if I'm wrong, but but PER does not take defense into account other than defensive rebounding and personal fouls. It's hardly the end-all. It takes rebounds, steals, blocks, and personal fouls into account. That's about it...
  4. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Feb 9, 2012 -> 09:17 PM) Seeing as the NBA takes team record into account and is the reason why Monroe isn't an All-Star and JJ is, D-Will shouldn't be an All-star when his team is that bad and he's the floor general. Kevin Love last is an exception, as he was an injury replacement and was having historic numbers. Greg Monroe was clearly the second best center in the East. Hibbert's having a nice year, but Monroe's a freaking beast. Joe Johnson also has no business in the ASG. I'd rather see Josh Smith instead of him.
  5. This guy's got a lot of things wrong. The Sox' bullpen, which, even after trading Santos and Frasor (who he included on accident for some reason), is still one of the better ones in the division. I also don't see how A.J. is worse than Salvador Perez, who's a B prospect (if he still was a prospect).
  6. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Feb 8, 2012 -> 06:59 PM) Jeremy Lin: great passer, good feel for the game, can't drive left, no jump shot. He's yet to play against a good defensive team. But when he does, I'll start judging him.
  7. QUOTE (kev211 @ Feb 7, 2012 -> 08:00 PM) I just read an article on CSN chicago about how Rose should move to SG and why its a good idea. Horrible Idea. I'm not even going to link it, it's so stupid. Who wrote the article? That's blasphemy.
  8. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Feb 7, 2012 -> 04:53 PM) Stop it. Iverson was an excellent ball-handler (though he got away with carrying a lot) and one of the quickest players the game has ever seen. I'm not gonna pretend to know a lot about Lin. I watched some of the game last night. He certainly doesn't posses the quickness or ball-handling ability that is required to play the point full-time. He'll definitely need assistance (screens, etc) in getting free consistently. And there's no way in hell he can guard anybody. It's nice little Rudy-like story right now. It's not gonna last. I thought Jeremy Lin played some pretty good defense...? If anything, that's one of the things that's kept his pro ball career afloat up to this point.
  9. QUOTE (Felix @ Feb 7, 2012 -> 07:20 AM) Don't worry, he'll disappear into nothingness soon enough. He's not a very good player. You'll get to see just how bad he is at basketball very soon. Rubio vs. Lin.
  10. QUOTE (greg775 @ Feb 7, 2012 -> 12:49 AM) Juan Pierre arguably had a decent season last year. So decent that he couldn't get a major league deal, let alone a starting job.
  11. QUOTE (Felix @ Feb 6, 2012 -> 10:49 PM) http://twitpic.com/8gp27i Ladies and gentlemen, your 2011-12 Washington Wizards I remember an earlier video of McGee not knowing where to set a pick in practice. John Wall had to tell him to move. He's either dumb as rocks or just zones out randomly.
  12. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Feb 6, 2012 -> 09:31 PM) China has a little bit more of a history with Taiwan, the whole not recognizing their independence thing. I dont know if it impacts Asian Americans. Just because the governments don't agree doesn't mean that Chinese NBA fans won't like Jeremy Lin. Sure, he won't be anywhere near as big as Yao Ming, but right now, there are no big name Asian players in the NBA.
  13. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Feb 6, 2012 -> 09:02 PM) All Asians are not the same. But I guess we cheer for our Mexican neighbors in the World Cup... I should have been more specific...not Asia, China/Taiwan.
  14. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Feb 6, 2012 -> 08:50 PM) He already has a cult following. Good year for Harvard. He's great for the NBA. He gets Asian Americans more excited about the sport. Plus, think about how much publicity he'd get in Asia. Lin's Taiwanese too, just look what happened with Chen Mien Wang, he's worshiped in Taiwan (according to my Taiwanese roommate).
  15. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Feb 6, 2012 -> 03:23 AM) Yea that was pretty weak, but nothing out of the ordinary with a fan defending their favorite team and/or player. But I thought Felix was the most objective person in the world?
  16. QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 6, 2012 -> 11:02 AM) That boy is high.
  17. QUOTE (Felix @ Feb 5, 2012 -> 11:01 AM) Unfortunately I didn't actually see the game, but I'd imagine Love was heavily provoked before doing that sort of thing. That's pretty far out of his regular comfort range. Upon rewatching it again (and again), I honestly don't think it was intentional. It looks like his foot got caught up in Scola's arms when he was about to go up court and he really had no other place to step. I wouldn't be surprised if he's suspended, but I don't really think he was intentionally trying to step on Scola's face. That being said, it's hilarious that they didn't call any of that play a foul. That's about as obvious as you can get. This almost sounds like a Lions fan trying to defend Suh.
  18. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Feb 4, 2012 -> 09:12 PM) Belichick is cold blooded. Patriots cut WR Tiquan Underwood and sign DE Alex Silvestro from the practice squad the day before the Super Bowl. Wow...I feel bad for Underwood.

  20. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 29, 2012 -> 05:25 PM) He got to the line 14 times today. He only averages about 5 attempts per game, IIRC. He can do that all the time. Who can stop him? Even Miami couldn't, which is what was really impressive today. Also, Wade just looks like an old man trying to draw fouls. Even though Hamilton shot like crap today, he held Wade down pretty well on defense.
  21. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 29, 2012 -> 05:16 PM) This was Rose's most impressive performance. He was in attack-beast mode all game. He missed like three shots he normally makes. And of course those two FTs. Good game all-around. Nothing was really proven today. If you thought the Bulls could beat the Heat, nothing that happened today, good or bad, would change your mind. Rose stopped attacking for a while in the 4th and that's when Miami had that nice little lead. I just hope the missed free-throws make Derrick work even harder.
  22. This is some nice research.
  23. QUOTE (Felix @ Jan 27, 2012 -> 11:07 PM) Indiana is a very real team. They're nothing special though. I feel like they're like the 06-07 Bulls.
  24. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 27, 2012 -> 07:36 PM) What the hell happened to Brandon Jennings? He's, like, good. He went back to being bad in the second half. He and Stephen Jackson are terrible chuckers sometimes. Wait, Jackson's a terrible chucker all the time.
  25. I wish Korver took that shot instead of Scal. Although, if Scal did make it, that would have been hilarious.
