  1. Watch us lose this game by one run.

  6. Willie the Pimp made a nice play in Washington.
  7. As good as Ichiro is in the outfield, he looks awkward sometimes out there.
  8. Can Donny Lucy play more? Because A.J. is hitting like absolute crap.
  9. Andruw really is 33.
  10. I hate Tim McCarver. He's talking about announcers jinxing perfect games. It doesn't even matter and I'm a superstitious guy.
  11. Nice article about Buehrle and his chances at the Hall of Fame. If he sticks around, it's definitely possible. http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/index.php/m...f-fame#comments
  12. We've had higher percentages.
  13. QUOTE (Melissa1334 @ Apr 23, 2010 -> 10:12 PM) everything that goes wrong is ozzie's fault but no one gives him credit for wanting andruw jones He wanted Andruw Jones? I thought that was Kenny's doing.

Looks like Andruw frequents his Facebook. I added him like an hour ago and he's already accepted.
  15. Hilarious. Taiwanese CGI FTW.
  16. QUOTE (Sox72 @ Apr 21, 2010 -> 06:54 PM) Emphasis on the bold. I understand that Camden is a nice park, but the product that Baltimore has put out there post 1997 hasn't been very good, it's actually a lot worse than what Toronto's been putting out there.
  17. QUOTE (beckham15 @ Apr 21, 2010 -> 06:36 PM) they were flipped last night though i thought That's cause Price was left handed.
  18. QUOTE (Sox72 @ Apr 21, 2010 -> 06:24 PM) Right, I see your point on them at least winning games. I was just thinking if you look at it from the point of view of not how many games you win but rather the chances you actually have of winning it all. Then it seems the same to me because those wins don't really mean much. You probably have to look at it that way for my point to make sense. I guess I just wasn't all that convinced by his argument and found it to be kind of a stretch. Before I listened, I assumed he had a strong argument before making such a bold statement. To me, it does seem like he may have somewhat of an agenda against either Toronto or the Jays (that assumption, however, may be a stretch as well). Toronto had its attractions. Roy Halladay, Carlos Delgado, Vernon Wells. It's not like that team didn't succeed at all or give the fans at least a glimmer of hope. Playing in the AL East sucks, but it didn't prevent Baltimore from drawing 2-3 million fans annually since the opening of Camden Yards.
  19. QUOTE (SI1020 @ Apr 21, 2010 -> 06:20 PM) Why do year in and year out our hitters do this? Players come and go but this problem fo trying to kill the ball instead of making contact and using the whole field is there every season. I'm told that Greg Walkier has nothing to do with it, and that he's reofly a good hitting coach. Maybe it's because the hitters don't listen to Walker and just do whatever the hell they want. Who knows.
  20. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 21, 2010 -> 12:57 PM) There have been a few new improvements made to UZR. http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/index.php/uzr-updates It's good that they've now taken positioning into consideration. That was one of the knocks against it before.
  21. QUOTE (Sox72 @ Apr 21, 2010 -> 05:34 PM) But maybe it's not about being mediocre, but rather feeling that you have no shot at winning anything. If you look at it that way, there is a parallel between the Blackhawks situation before this recent success and the Blue Jays current situation. Somewhat. Weren't the Blackhawks absolutely atrocious for a while? Like post-2001 to pre-strike? The Blue Jays have held their ground all right.
  22. He's extremely home run happy. When you have the power he has, you don't need to be looking for home runs every time up.
  23. What the hell? Zambrano = reliever? What a waste of nearly $20 million.
  24. QUOTE (Sox72 @ Apr 21, 2010 -> 03:11 PM) I don't know. I don't think he came off defending himself that well. His main argument seemed to be that Toronto doesn't deserve a baseball team because baseball isn't the first priority in the town and no one goes. People went when they were winning. The host had a pretty good counter when he brought up the Blackhawks. People only go when they're winning and they are definitely not the top sports priority in town. The Blue Jays have had 86 and 87 win seasons since 2003 and have gone around .500 numerous times. Yet, in 2003, when they won 86 games and led the AL East for a good amount of time, they failed to draw over 2 million fans. In fact, from 2000 to 2005, they failed to draw over 2 million fans. They had a good period from 06 to 08 where they drew close to league average, but last year, it dipped down below 2 million yet again. For such a large city, they should be able to continuously draw around the league average if they're just mediocre. That hasn't happened though.
