  1. When you're hitting .198, anything goes.
  2. Pre-injury Grandal was fine last year. Not pretty to watch, but he did something nobody else on the team did (walk) and hit for power when he needed to. Unfortunately for Yaz, his power has pretty much disappeared.
  3. Unfortunately, Grandal seems cooked, so there goes that 5 WAR he gave you last year. MLB needs to juice the ball again if this group is ever gonna go back to being an entertaining bunch on offense.
  4. Baltimore will be in the 3rd wild card spot tonight and they're not even trying to win.
  5. What's sad is if you combined last year's offense with this year's ability to actually play fairly well in close games, the combined team would actually be really really good.
  6. Grandal was setting up so far outside that it must be obvious that the Sox were gonna throw those 2 guys outside pitches.
  7. Tony will end up playing Pollock in CF and Sheets in RF.
  8. If that got him, that barely grazed his uniform.
  9. I would just throw Vaughn sliders the whole time and hope he grounds out to the left side.
  10. Yeah, but I'm not sure I like this match up.
  11. Sheets for Pollock would make a lot more sense had Robert not gotten hurt.
  12. You'll get Leury and you'll like it.
  13. I wouldn't call a hanging curveball at the top of the zone a good pitch. It worked, but Candelario is also bad.
  14. Really bad pitch, but got him guessing fastball.
  15. If Tony had any dignity he'd have someone throw at Schoop.
  16. Kopech is done at just 85 pitches.
  17. So much for him getting hot in August.
  18. Schopp didn't even have the ball. You can't block a base runner's path like that if you don't have the ball.
  19. It's crazy that you can't block home plate but you can block any other base.
  20. Kopech probably has an inning left. I doubt they'd let him go for the no hitter even if he has it through 7.
  21. It's so sad that our payroll is 2x theirs and they're probably gonna end up being better than us in almost every way this year.
  22. What's the consensus here? Did he take these to heal from his numerous injuries or was he always on them?
  23. Looking for some slump busters?
