He hired a hitman to murder his pregnant girlfriend, which is even worse than killin her yourself. It just proves your a coward. Do the dirty work yourself, your stupid and treacherous but atleast youve got some balls... Not to get off topic, but sounds a little like someone else...

I think the NHL proved that idea sucked. Look, baseball will never, ever have the same flair for the All-Star Game as it once did because there's not two different competing leagues as there once was. Now there's just the American Conference and National Conference (just named "League") all operating under the control of the office of Major League Baseball. To think some half-assed scheme of tying the All-Star Game to the World Series is going to suddenly make everyone a Pete Rose is ridiculous. Bud Selig, you're a f***ing moron. :fyou

Why does everyone seem to get so outraged whenever someone just says that Aaron is more suited to be a 4th outfielder than a starter? There's nothing wrong with that; not like he's Liefer or any of the other slobs I want off this team (Oh, wait... Liefer is gone! Up top to KW... Something I never thought I'd say. ). He's a good player, but if the Sox really, really want to get serious about competing, they need to replace him.
-
You seem to be almost disappointed that we got Colon because KW made a smart move. But at least we got Sandy Alomar!
-
Well that's fine, so let him go via free agency and take the draft pick. Better to get a shot at getting someone good instead of getting jack s***.
-
Rowand is not a starting centerfielder.
-
Bla bla bla... You're already running in circles. I'd rather have just lost Ray to free agency, 'cuz we'd at least get a sandwich round draft pick... Better later contribution that no contribution. Adkins..... What the f***?
-
Actually when Ray was traded, his BA of .299 and OBA of .390 would have been career highs.

So, how do the Sox stack up against the Twins?
doubleM23 replied to Cerbaho-WG's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Played for their jobs? Trust me, I'd want pretty much any one of their guys on the Sox. Don't cry over the Twins, they'd find work (probably for a less asshole of an owner). Anyone who automatically thinks we can run away with this division is doing something VERY stupid by overlooking a very solid team. We can beat them, but it is far from a guarantee. -
Let it die? We let a guy who has a career of .352 and who's scored 100 runs or more since 1997 for a PIECE OF s*** prospect with an ERA of like over 5 in AAA. Stupid! Stupid! Stupid! Stupid! Stupid! Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!

Uh, the lineup that we virtually return intact scored the 3rd most runs in the American League. No, we don't have a complete team, but we did just shore up a big weakness. I can't understand why you seem to hate this deal so much, but yet you vehemently defend picking up Sandy Alomar, Jr. Maybe Kenny's just not as stupid as you believe? -
Erstad as good as Rowand? What are you smoking?
-
What? I'd take about 7 (Cardinals, Braves, Angels, Twins, D'backs, Red Sox, Mariners) of these OFs over ours right now, 1 (Reds) if building for the future, and 2 (Dodgers, Cubs) wouldn't matter 'cuz we're just about as good or have about the same potential. The outfield the Sox are going to put on the field in '03 isn't significantly better than any of these mentioned.

I think predicting the Twins is too tricky because I can see them winning 90-100 games next year.... I can also see them losing 80-90 games, too, and I wouldn't be overly surprised if either happened. They won 95 games last year with down years from a couple of their top starters like Mays and Radke. If those guys come back, I don't see the Sox being able to dethrone them; but if the Twins continue to struggle with their pitching I can see the Sox running away with the division. That, and the Twins play fundamental baseball, the Sox just suck at the basics of the game, and that can make a difference in determing who gets to hang a banner in their park next April. -
Jiminez is more than likely your lead-off.
-
Please, the White Sox have been the most consistently competitive team from Chicago since 1990, as pathetic as that may seem.

Commentary: A Big Piece Added, but Not the Last
doubleM23 replied to Chisoxfn's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Oh, I agree.... I totally love this deal, and its arguably the best trade I can remember the Sox making (Matt Karcher for Jon Garland? SURE! ), however, I think too many people automatically assume that now we're going to win 120 games and steamroll like we did in 2000, and I don't think we're capable of doing so just yet. There are still a couple pieces of the puzzle that need to be added before we can really call ourselves legitimate World Series contenders. But hey, nothing is guaranteed in baseball... Who knows? We sneak into the play-offs, with a 1-2 punch like we have now, anything can happen. All who, a year ago today, thought the Anaheim Angels would be defending the crown in 2003 please raise your hand. I rest my case. -
He's not now? Huh... News to me.
-
well either way it still doesnt make me cream my jeans........lol........... All right, well, we can agree on that.
-
Normally you care when a 20-game winner joins your pitching staff. Two days ago, nearly everyone was 100% sure that the Sox would not be getting Colon, so who the f*** knows how long he'll be here or what kind of an impact he'll have? Certainly not me, you, or anyone without connections to the Sox's front office. Quite frankly, I'd rather have Colon than not have him. You never know. If the Sox get to the postseason, a 1-2 punch like we have now can make things totally unpredictable. Dissing an obviously good trade based on speculation that you think everything will go wrong is just as stupid as saying an obviously bad trade is good by speculating that every single thing will go right.
-
The only thing stupid about the deal offered to Buehrle was that it shaved a year off the time he'd be guaranteed a contract. Mark knows he's going to be a rich, rich man after arbitration, and also knows that as a pitcher, even the slightest injury can ruin your MLB career. Why would he do something stupid like lose a year of guaranteed pay?
-
Jeez, I'm agreeing with you way too much for one night.
-
I'd normally agree with you, Mario, but I can't imagine Cashman and the Yankees being so blatantly fleeced if it wasn't their idea.
-
How about..... NO! I'm going to have to agree with this.
-
Steve Trachsel is by the far the slowest pitcher I've ever seen.
