  1. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 04:42 PM) Most Bears fans are also idiots. But not the ones on this board, so I don't understand why we're firing shots because people said they don't believe the 49ers could be the Packers. The Packers are really good. That's not an indictment of the 49ers. The fact of the matter is we won't really know until the game happens, if both teams make it that far. Most NFL fans are idiots. I'd rather the 49ers knock off our biggest rivals, and if it were the Bears and 49ers in the NFC champ game, I bet Packer fans qould root against us, I've no problem with that
  2. QUOTE (HeGone33 @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 04:36 PM) My beef isn't with the Bear either. It's with the fans who jump down peoples throats with Superbowl chants when their team is on a two game winning streak......you give a little heat back and boom! The Niners have had a great year, but as I've said before on here I know they won't end up winning what matters most..a ring.......That statement right there isn't something 90% of Bears fans would be able to make when their team is heading to the playoffs. I don't know what Bears fans you know but we didn't exactly throw a parade when we lost to the Colts in the SB...you think we enjoy recalling 86 all the time?
  3. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 04:20 PM) Through no fault of his own, Aaron Rodgers would be out of the NFL by now if the Bears drafted him. The Bears' system is just f***ed. I agree, we need to pick the Green Bay FO's brain...just because you play in crappy weather doesn't mean we have to rely on a dominant D, running game, ST and a mediocre passing game to win, it's not the 40's anymore.Until we change that mentallity, we'll keep coming up short.
  4. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 04:22 PM) This is the most childish fight I've ever seen on this board. I really don't know why you guys are fighting as our teams don't play in the same division and no real rivalry. Both teams are historically great, Bears floundered this year and the the 49ers excel. Bears have been better over the past decade, but haven't been a model franchise. Both suck at drafting QBs like most of the NFL. Now can it stop? I'll throw the olive branch and say the 49ers had Montana, Young and for a brief run, Garcia...we are the ones who have been terrible at drafting QBs
  5. QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 04:19 PM) Alex is a free agent at the end of this season. He had a great season this year and won us some huge games. Harbaugh has a lot of faith in him I know, but he's still a game manager QB, you need a QB to win you games though, look at the last QBs who've won SBs, the last game manager who won a SB was TB Bucs Johnson I believe...dunno if you can win with that type of QB unless you have a monster D and I'm not sure if SF has that type of shutdown D, I could be wrong though
  6. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 04:10 PM) Remember when they drafted Alex Smith and passed on that other QB. What ever happened to that guy? Yeah, first overall pick and they get Smith. We had a crack at Rodgers too and got Benson Rodgers wouldn't have done anything with us though, we don't groom QBs
  7. QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 04:00 PM) The Bears will continue to fall, cause of the age of their best players on defense. And the Niners will not win because of...Alex Smith
  8. QUOTE (HeGone33 @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 04:00 PM) Please show me in that quote where I start bringing up team history? Actually it wasn't you, it was SOXOBAMA who brought up team history, but your quote is what started this little mini-beef...anyways, go Saints, Giants or whoever, lol.
  9. QUOTE (HeGone33 @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 11:06 AM) I just wonder who will be next to blame when the Bears continue to suck.......... ...........................
  10. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 03:35 PM) This argument is seriously dumb, this isn't college football, they'll settle it on the field. I know it's dumb but a 9ers fan comes in here and states that we will continue to suck no matter who we hire as GM, like they've been setting the NFL world on fire this decade and the Bears haven't won a division or gotten to a SB this decade.
  11. QUOTE (HeGone33 @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 03:35 PM) I've had many Bears fans talk shi* over the years, how the tide has turned and I can't do the same? That's not fair at all..... And I sure will enjoy that playoff run, you enjoy the GM search I haven't really seen that here, our rivals are the Packers, Vikes and Lions, most Bears fans don't care about the 49ers, especially since they haven't been relevant for over a decade.
  12. Bears were in the NFC championship game last year, lost their starting QB and still lost by one TD to the eventual champs...at least get to the NFC championship this year before talking smack.
  13. QUOTE (HeGone33 @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 03:20 PM) I love it when you guys pull up team history, but when its against them its all about what have you done for me lately........ I'll take the 5 Superbowl rings and 18 division championships, along with the first round bye and you guys go enjoy the debacle that is the Chicago Bears......hey at least you guys are 1-0 in 2012..... You started the mud slinging, nobody here gives a crap about the 49ers, and you come in saying the Bears will continue to suck no matter who they hire...that's baiting and we responded. I love how a fan of a team that hasn't done anything in over a decade comes here and starts s***.Even though GoSox05 is a Packers fan and we are the biggest rivalry in the NFL, he shows class and us Bears fans don't mess with him. Enjoy your short playoff run courtesy of the Packers (doubt you get that far though)
  14. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 02:44 PM) Technically water boys and cable runners still work in the NFL. Well, if Hanie accepts a job as Bears waterboy, I'm all for it...just never want to see that mfer in a Bears uni.
  15. QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 02:37 PM) We have 5 Super Bowl wins. The 2nd most in NFL History.. Unless you believe the NFL started in 1967 and you're gonna disregard all the history, NFL titles and HOFers before that...Bears have 8 NFL titles and 1 SB. 9>5 Just saying...
  16. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 02:07 PM) Hanie's name now floating around twitter in the now former NFL club. fixed
  17. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 11:51 AM) Hard to single them out right now, they(as in George) did what we have been asking them to do for the past 3 years. Besides, Hegone33 is just trying to get a rise out of bears fans right now, since his perennial contender 49ers has shown everyone how to win their division with regularity over the past 5 years like the Bears have. Oh, wait..... Ha! We can accept goofing by Packers, Patriots or Steelers fans but...Niners fans?
  18. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 11:55 AM) Wrong year to make that offer. You lose 20% of your free games. I disagree, it's exactly the season to watch Bulls basketball as they head to their seventh NBA championship
  19. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 11:27 AM) Yeah, I can't get enough. Thankfully, I'm a bastard and called Comcast and told them if they didn't give me League Pass for free, I'd cancel and go to DirecTV, because they made me that offer (they didn't actually make said offer). So, free NBA League Pass all year long! Wow, that is so gangsta
  20. Would love to see the Bulls tear the Hawks a new one tonight
  21. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 10:04 AM) Lovie is the least of our problems, Bears were looking pretty damn good before Cutler got hurt and the nightmare known as Hanie began.
  22. QUOTE (G&T @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 09:09 AM) Angelo fired per the Score. About damn time. How much would it take to pry Thompson away?
  23. QUOTE (knightni @ Jan 2, 2012 -> 07:10 PM) It hurts that he didn't get 5,000 yards. I think that the hype is still enough that he will get it - it just won't be as unanimous as previously thought. Rodgers 45% Brees 35% Brady 15% Tebow 5% (that's the ESPN contingent) I would love to know who voted for Tebow if there are any MVP votes for him so we can go out and beat him (them?) with sticks.
  24. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jan 2, 2012 -> 11:21 PM) So, didn't see the Heat lost. Unbeatable. Also, the Big 3 will be dead tired and one is going to get hurt. I don't believe anybody said they would go 66-0, I agree with you, in a compressed schedule with so many back to back games, the Heat will wear themselves out if they try to go all out every game with their still weak bench, this is where Chicago's depth will prevail. The Bulls will again have at the very least, the best record in the EC. If Wade doesn't get hurt in this wacky tight season, it will be a minor miracle.
