QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 22, 2011 -> 01:16 PM) He didn't know how to use a time out or call a final play. The two most noticeable things a coach can do, vinny was atrocious at. This

Can't blame the guy, we all would be doing the same -
QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 22, 2011 -> 10:24 AM) What do we see in the east beside heat and bulls anyway? D'antoni is tone deaf when it comes to his players needs to stay healthy. Even though I hate him, I feel for Amare this year. He's going to get run to death. The Knicks would be dangerous if they had a defensive minded coach, they got some natural scorers, it's as if the Knicks FO thought, "well, we tried winning a title with defense during the 90s, that didn't work, so let's be the Phoenix Suns of the east".
-
QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Dec 22, 2011 -> 10:13 AM) To be fair I only see 3 title contenders in the NBA as a whole. Heat, Bulls and Thunder.
-
I think the East is the better conference, you have a declining Lakers and Spurs, the Mavs in my opinion look like a 1 championship team, Thunder are legit and the Clippers will be improved but not sold on title contender just yet, Grizzlies can be a dark horse. I just feel the Heat or the Bulls can beat any team in the West in the Finals.
-
QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Dec 22, 2011 -> 07:44 AM) I have a friend who loves to make bets where he is getting odds. He offered to give me my pick of 4 teams to win the championship this year and he gets the field at 2:1 odds. 1) Is this a good bet for me? 2) If so, do I take the Heat, Bulls, Mavs, and Thunder or is there a team I'm missing? I'm not a betting man but that looks like a solid bet, the NBA title will belong to the winner of the Heat/Bulls match up IMO.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 22, 2011 -> 01:23 AM) I've seen enough. The Clippers are a legitimate championship contender. Oh my goodness. Forget about Blake Griffin for a second. What planet is DeAndre Jordan from? How can you be that f***ing athletic at his size? He, IMO, will be the second best C in basketball when it's all said and done. The Clippers are the new Showtime. lol Vinny Del Negro says hi DeAndre Jordan, second best C of his generation or all-time?With J4L's infamous hyperbole, can't tell which one.

Good-bye Mr. Hanie, never want to see you in a Bears uniform ever again. -
The Lakers can't beat the Bulls without a 100% healthy beasting Kobe...sucks because I like when teams play each other at full strength.
-
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 21, 2011 -> 11:59 AM) Why would that matter? Gasol starts at center and Taj provides the D at power forward. That'll work, not like the NBA has a surpluss of scoring Cs.
-
The article does say that Gasol wanted to retire as a Laker, maybe he's asking the FO for a trade like Odom, just not so publicly?
-
QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 21, 2011 -> 11:50 AM) Hypothetical question: If the lakers asked for boozer + noah would you do it? Depends if Asik is ready to be starter, if he's not, no, if he is, I'll drive Noah and Boozer myself to O'Hare airport.
-
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 21, 2011 -> 11:29 AM) The Lakers would be insane to even consider something like that. I agree, but the Lakers gave away Odom for next to nothing so hopefully they are in a charitable mood
-
According to Spanish magazine Marca, there are rumors about a Boozer/Korver for Gasol trade...use google translation since the article is in Spanish.I doubt it happens but if it does, that would be enough to put us over Miami IMO. http://www.marca.com/2011/12/21/baloncesto...1324465328.html

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 20, 2011 -> 11:27 PM) I agree that depth in the regular season, especially a condensed season, will be beneficial. But in the playoffs, when it's time to see LeBron, Wade and Bosh, that depth means next to nothing. The prerequisite J4L downer post for all us Bulls "homers"...lol

Per Grantland on their "The Fabulous and the Flops of the NFL week 15"... Leave it to the Bears to have a historically bad QB, according to this article, Jonathan Quinn>Caleb Hanie lol -

Pretty interesting read on how to beat the Pack, in theory it sounds right, trick is pulling it off. http://www.grantland.com/story/_/id/736823...-mighty-packers -

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 20, 2011 -> 09:26 AM) The 70 is pretty accurate. The speed he has moves it up a bit, but the dude has no arm and no accuracy. and if he looks completly lost out there, it'll be like the real Hanie. -

QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Dec 20, 2011 -> 08:59 AM) Because most here would agree basing your thoughts of a team on Madden rankings is perfectly acceptable. Especially since Hanie gets a 70, shows that that list is BS, he is 58 tops. -

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 19, 2011 -> 11:24 AM) Will you give that same LOL to everyone who wanted to sign Forte to a big contract because he never got hurt? That 4-2 or 3-3 was predicated on not losing the RB who was having an MVP level season himself. Forte doesn't have a history of being an oft injured player, almost every NFL player takes time off because of injury, I'm on the "show Forte the money" side. All RBs need a decent OLine to be effective, only 70's Sweetness and Barry Sanders were great enough to be effective with garbage linemen. -

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 19, 2011 -> 12:21 PM) I'd take a veteran QB with an uncomplicated playbook of 15-20 plays over an overly complicated playbook in the hands of a QB that shouldn't be playing on an NFL team. thank you -
