  1. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jan 7, 2012 -> 02:01 PM) And yes, I am that guy that wishes injury upon other players. Especially on teams I despise like Miami. lol, I don't wish injury on anyone ever but I'd make an exception with LBJ, hopefully he rolls his ankle in the 1st game of the ECF...seriously though, Miami could win it all even if one of the big 3 go down to injury, as long as it's not LBJ.If it's Wade and Bosh without LeBron, they'll put up a fight but Chicago wins.LBJ isn't messing around this year.
  2. Been watching some Heat games and there's just something that really makes me nervous about this year's LBJ, dude looks like he's on a mission, he added a post up game and looks terrifyingly great so far Next NBA Finals he gets to (most probably this year) he's gonna tear it up so he could shut up the naysayers after last year's Finals. The Heat are his team, forget about Wade.
  3. Boozer hasn't sucked on D that bad this year, that's a big plus, just need Noah to get back to his usual awesome self. This Bulls team is pretty good.
  4. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 6, 2012 -> 05:55 PM) You can? I can't think of a single thing outside the obvious. sex>sports but that's just me, I still find my wife HOT
  5. QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 6, 2012 -> 05:34 PM) That would not have been entirely true. I disagree, you can do stuff with chicks that would kick sports in the ass, unless you're a priest or something:D
  6. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 6, 2012 -> 02:34 PM) p**** > sports you coulda just said women>sports
  7. The Atlanta Hawks might be the dumbest NBA team I've ever seen.
  8. QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ Jan 5, 2012 -> 02:56 PM) Not to mention we have the best baseline player in the game in Ronnie Brewer. I think Rose can work a post up game like Kobe, take on the opposing point guards and exploit the defender with his athleticism. He can hit those mid range shots or fade aways all day given his athleticism and his above average mid range shooting. There will be times when teams will throw bigger guards at him or try to double him, but I believe he will be suffice if he throws a pass to a cutting Deng or Brewer, or hit a Noah sneaking in the paint for an easy dunk. I much rather see him exploit a match up in a post up than letting the defense off the hook by jacking up an inconsistent three point shot. Speaking of Kobe, I read in LakersGround that after a Bulls/Lakers game, Kobe gave some advice to Rose and told him to work on a post game so he can elevate his game.
  9. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jan 5, 2012 -> 11:48 AM) Fisher is a tremendous head coach and is one guy I would be completey on board with hiring over Lovie. Note: There aren't many guys I'd replace Lovie with in the league. I do think if you brought in a GM like the Ravens guy (who is the top candidate in the league) and the Bears loved him and he was in with the exception that he needed to have a shot to bring in his coach, than I'd probably do it. There are probably 5 coaches better than Lovie in this league: 1. Bellicheck 2. Sean Payton 3. McCarthy 4. Tomlin 5. Reid I think anyone else and you can make an argument Lovie is better. The next list, which includes Lovie, also includes Mike Smith, the Harbaugh Brothers, Shanny (I might include him in the top group), and Rex Ryan (who I happen to hate). You could also argue for Kubiak (who I'm a huge fan of). Which means, if you agree with my list, at worse, Lovie is the 11th or 12th best coach in the league. I happen to think he rates on par with everyone else on the list of this group of candidates and most definitely ahead of Rex. Fisher is .542 while Lovie is .555, one SB (loss) in more seasons than Lovie and had McNai and Eddie George while Lovie had Grossman and other scrubs.
  10. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Jan 5, 2012 -> 10:04 AM) Jeff Fisher wants Bears coaching job The Bears meathead fans are gonna want that...mustached guy who yells alot on the sidelines=wins. I'll pass.
  11. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jan 5, 2012 -> 09:58 AM) Maybe the break-up with Demi is really getting to him? I was like, huh...then I was oh, ok! I'm dumb
  12. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 4, 2012 -> 04:37 PM) Topical: Multiple sources tell the San Diego Union-Tribune that the Chargers are "unlikely" to place the franchise tag on free agent Vincent Jackson. The Bolts don't want to allocate $13 million for one player when they need several offensive line upgrades, a new pass rusher, and potentially a new strong safety. "We will have some significant personnel changes," said GM A.J. Smith. San Diego's goal will reportedly be to lock up Jackson with a long-term deal, despite Smith's past hesitancy. If the sides can't find common ground, it sounds like Jackson could head to the open market. http://www.rotoworld.com/headlines/nfl/225...v-jackson-again That Chargers team should've won a SB a few years ago but it looks like the window closed on them.
  13. There's no reason why Rose shouldn't add a post game to his arsenal, size doesn't matter, look what Gary Payton, Sam Cassell and Mark Jackson did while they were playing, pretty good post up players.Like it was posted before, Rose has a size and strength advantage over most PGs, if the help comes, swing the ball around and find the open man.No help comes, take him.
  14. I could see why Felix is so excited by Rubio, kid has amazing court vision.
  15. QUOTE (lostfan @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 11:09 PM) In the last 2 seasons the Bulls are an NBA-best +221 in the 4th. Translation...they tighten up the D and create offense from defense. Maybe they should take a page from the MJ Bulls and turn up the defensive pressure in the 3rd and coast to an easy win instead of of waiting til the 4th but anywho, I'll take it. Deflating loss for the Hawks tho, Bulls had no business even being in position to pull it out
  16. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 09:37 PM) If you didn't watch most of it, then you can't fully grasp the fact the Bulls had no business winning this game. That said, good teams win games they shouldn't. This
  17. The first order of business for our next GM is PROTECT our franchise QB with quality OLineman (first and foremost), find a #1 WR through free agency and start finding defensive replacements for our aging D through the draft. Don't get cheap on us now, McCaskey.
  18. QUOTE (HeGone33 @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 04:49 PM) I wouldn't say asking who is next to blame when the Bears continue to suck is "firing a shot", it's a legitimate question IMO It felt like a shot, we were 7-3 and no doubt playoff bound before our starting QB and running back went down...most teams would drop off with that combo, we fell harder because Hanie sucked so hard though
  19. QUOTE (HeGone33 @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 04:52 PM) Amen to that, starting to like you Mex
  20. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 04:42 PM) Most Bears fans are also idiots. But not the ones on this board, so I don't understand why we're firing shots because people said they don't believe the 49ers could be the Packers. The Packers are really good. That's not an indictment of the 49ers. The fact of the matter is we won't really know until the game happens, if both teams make it that far. Most NFL fans are idiots. I'd rather the 49ers knock off our biggest rivals, and if it were the Bears and 49ers in the NFC champ game, I bet Packer fans qould root against us, I've no problem with that
  21. QUOTE (HeGone33 @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 04:36 PM) My beef isn't with the Bear either. It's with the fans who jump down peoples throats with Superbowl chants when their team is on a two game winning streak......you give a little heat back and boom! The Niners have had a great year, but as I've said before on here I know they won't end up winning what matters most..a ring.......That statement right there isn't something 90% of Bears fans would be able to make when their team is heading to the playoffs. I don't know what Bears fans you know but we didn't exactly throw a parade when we lost to the Colts in the SB...you think we enjoy recalling 86 all the time?
  22. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 04:20 PM) Through no fault of his own, Aaron Rodgers would be out of the NFL by now if the Bears drafted him. The Bears' system is just f***ed. I agree, we need to pick the Green Bay FO's brain...just because you play in crappy weather doesn't mean we have to rely on a dominant D, running game, ST and a mediocre passing game to win, it's not the 40's anymore.Until we change that mentallity, we'll keep coming up short.
