  1. We've seen it before, a team barely gets in and goes on to win the SB, the last two years in fact. Could happen this year too. I just don't think the Bears have it in them, the OL is just too horrible. They made the mediocre GB defense look elite yesterday.
  2. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Dec 17, 2012 -> 08:25 AM) LOL. I love catching up on this thread monday mornings Edit: Also, I know most of you are Bears fans, but most people have been saying at least 2 of the 3 OPI calls on Jeffery were correct and the 3rd was iffy. I understand the game was called badly and apparently there were similar plays by GB not called penalties, but the actual OPI calls themselves weren't bad calls. If you aren't going to call those on GB's WRs, then don't call it against Chicago, that right there makes them bad calls. The Peppers "late hit" was crap, so was the PI on Conte. In the end, GB is the better team, they don't need refs helping them out...
  3. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Dec 17, 2012 -> 08:53 AM) How Mason Crosby still has a job is crazy. I'll be surprised if he's your kicker in the playoffs.
  4. QUOTE (iamshack @ Dec 16, 2012 -> 04:03 PM) Yeah, I actually loved what I saw from Jeffrey today. this the refs were horse s***, those off PIs hardly ever get called...especially when the DBs are also grabbing and pushing. Jeffrey gonna be a good WR.
  5. I checked in at half time to post, I'm watching the game with two very biased pro GB spanish anouncers so reading this thread, I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who thought those PI calls were utter garbage...these refs were atrocious. I'm not saying the Bears would've won if it weren't for those calls but gaddam it, do these refs ever see that all that pushing and shoving between WRs and CBs happen in every f***ing game? GB's DBs are especially guilty of grabbing the opposing WRs, they play very physical. Garbage refs...
  6. The thing I'm most impressed by Rodgers is his football IQ, he just does not make dumb mistakes, neverforces the issue and doesn't give you opportunities at a INT. He's like the exact opposite of Favre in that respect. Hopefully we can make some adjustments on D, we're not pressuring Rodgers enough.
  7. My wife told me as we were watching CNN last night that she wouldn't ever want to live in the US... This coming from someone who lives in Mexico, (though I have to add that we live in a city with no drug violence). I just thought it sounded weird... Just so depressing.
  8. I'm at a loss for words...just so f***ing tragic and so unnecessary.
  9. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Dec 10, 2012 -> 02:17 PM) Packers are ONLY a 2.5 point favorite on Sunday. I'm fully expecting us to lose, after two games where we should've won, I'm not very hopeful for Sunday. I do think it'll be a close game but Cutler has just been awful against the Pack's D.
  10. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Dec 10, 2012 -> 02:13 PM) Our offense looked "so much better?" I thought it was pretty awful under Martz. ........................ You need a good O line to have a Martz offense and we haven't had a capable O line since the mid 2000s
  11. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 10, 2012 -> 01:10 PM) Cutler didnt have a great game, but he definitely played well enough to win. Hester and Davis once again were total let downs, and Alshon had a chance to make a great play as well. I will give Jeffery a small pass given that he is a rookie and has not been on the field much this year, but going forward those are plays he needs to make. To be fair, Cutler made a couple of bad overthrows on a wide open Davis, Hester's TD drop was inexcuseable. What the hell happened to Hester, he hasn't even been close to breaking a return the last bunch of games?
  12. Cutler's mechanics were really horrible yesterday. There were a couple of throws he made from his back foot even though he had a pocket and could've stepped into the throw. You can't blame him too much, he has a horrible O line and is probably shell shocked. He made some bad decisions, made some bad throws, had two TDs dropped and made a few nice passes. My only hope vs Green Bay is that it's not a nationally televised night game...
  13. My dad, who came from Mexico in 1969 and settled on Chicago's SE side, was a Yankees fan growing up. He used to get free tickets from US Steel and he would take me and my brother along with co-workers of his. The first game I can remember, Steve Kemp hit a game winning HR against the Tigers IIRC. My Pops eventually switched his allegiance to the White Sox. I actually grew up liking both the Sox and the Cubs, most of my friends were Cubs fans even though we lived in what should've been deep Sox territory. The Cubs games were all on WGN while the Sox were mostly on cable, that really had a negative impact on Sox popularity in the 80s. Anyways, that 83 team locked me in on the Sox and Harold Baines is my fave all time Sox player. I'll do all I can to make sure my son, who is on my avi, also becomes a Sox fan.
  14. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Dec 2, 2012 -> 04:04 PM) I'm of the opinion that winning 6 of 7 in the NFL actually is 'lighting the world on fire' but what do I know. ok ok, the Packers are running away with the division, we should forfeit the upcoming game against them at Soldier Field, we've no shot, happy now? Me, I think we have a good shot at the division, so sue me.
  15. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Dec 2, 2012 -> 03:44 PM) Huh? They've won 6 of 7. The only loss was to a Giants team that has their number. 8-4 and they hadn't beaten anyone of note except for Houston...beat them at Soldier Field and all the handwringing will stop...at least foe a while. I don't think losing to Seattle is the end of the world.
  16. The division is still up for grabs, Green Bay isn't exactly lighting the world on fire either, they got their problems too.
  17. Oh well, this was a game the Bears should've put away, they didn't, let the Seahawks hang around and we paid for it... Gotta play better in Minny next week.
  18. We couldn't put someone else as.QB spy that could actually keep RW from getting to the sidelines?
  19. I hate it when I run out of beer...
  20. is this broadcast team regular Seahawks announcers? wtf
  21. That Russell kid is impressive though
