Kenny had better have a f***ing deal done with another starter if he pulls this off. What is the point of having a lead-off man for a year if you're dealing with 3 rookie pitchers?

Ozzie went off and said that he doesn't believe that players can play the infield AND the outfield, and that everyone he's asked immediately said "shortstop" when he asked what his best position is. I think 2B this is going to be like LF last year, when CQ was Kenny's guy, and Jerry Owens was Ozzie's guy. This time, Lillibridge is Kenny's guy, and Getz is Ozzy's guy.

I don't know what you're complaining about, I think we got a pretty damn good haul for Javy, considering his blowup down the stretch.

Hmm, from what I've read in the past, Cuban Ball is normally compared to A+ to AA ball, and a .330 BA in AA translates to about .290 in the majors. That's backed up by Alexei's year, he was a career .333 hitter over there and he hit about .290 this season. If the guy can take a walk, I'd definitely prefer him over and lead off/CF candidates we have now.

Could Gomez possibly be lead-off material?

I would do Pauly for Sanchez in an instant, but I highly doubt even Sabean would make that trade. I could see Dye for Fred Lewis and Jonathon Sanchez, that'd allow us to play Lewis in left, BA/Jerry Owens in Center, and move CQ to right.

I don't want Beckham at 3rd, that makes it a wasted pick. He is appealing at 2B/SS because he looks like he'll have a huge OBP and above average power. He'd be going from a All-Star caliber MI to an average 3B. Furcal OR Taveras, not AND.
