  1. I disagree here. They needed to get him to 160 innings. They couldn't do that in the minors. It's unfortunate but it is what it is at this point.
  2. https://www.baseballamerica.com/teams/1026/chicago-white-sox/organizational/?year=2019 1. Eloy Jimenez 2. Michael Kopech 3. Dylan Cease 4. Nick Madrigal 5. Luis Robert 6. Micker Adolfo 7. Dane Dunning 8. Blake Rutherford 9. Luis Gonzalez 10. Steele Walker No Zack Collins, Luis Basabe or Alec Hansen on list.
  3. I did have this wrong. He hit 11 homers vs LHP and 26 vs RHP. This part is same though. Vs LHP: 153 wRC+, .389 wOBA vs RHP: 126 wRC+, .350 wOBA
  4. Did he? 137 wRC+ with 37 homers. 153 wRC+ with 30 homers against LHP. He would have been the best offensive player on the Sox last year by a lot.
  5. It's because the Athletic Directors factor into the decisions and they want the same number of home games. I've always said that they should give the higher seeds the option to go on the road in round 1. For example, LWE plays the #32 seed on the road and then gets Glenbard West at home the next week instead of the other way around. Seems like a decent solution.
  6. I think it goes like this: All out pursuit for Manny Machado. He eventually signs. Then they become one of the team's mentioned in conjunction with Harper if they miss out on Machado. I think Machado signs much sooner than Bryce will.
  7. The White Sox have been working on the pitch to Manny Machado with presentation and all for weeks. He's their target. It's reached the National Media now.
  8. I don't think they believe that but I don't think they land him. Sox are 100% going after Machado though. The presentation is ready.
  9. LWE was 9-0 with 44 playoff points (opponents wins) Rice was 9-0 with 45 playoff points. 1 and 2 doesn't really matter because they'll both be home for semis and then meet at state. Rice has to go through Marist probably at some point.
  10. Lincoln Way East went into Glen Ellyn today and beat Glenbard West 45-0. They are an absolute powerhouse,
  11. I don't know if I'd say incredible. It's a great accomplishment but they do get to pluck football players from all over the southside and suburbs regardless of how many kids actually go to their school.
  12. Matt finished editing my work and the trade broke. I checked our writers thread and immediately said "SON OF A b****". It's fine though. It should be updated with the recent info now.
  13. Banuelos was Rule 5 eligible. Dodgers probably just didn't have the roster space.
  14. This is a productive post. Looks like a lot of thought was put into this
  15. I'm not sure. I'd worry about that later. I would prefer he go to 3B.
  16. I wrote about Manny Machado for today. He is the White Sox primary target. https://theloopsports.com/2018/10/29/white-sox-the-pursuit-of-manny-machado/
  17. Gomez, Santiago and Shields will be exiting as well. Kopech has to get added from the 60 Day DL Guys that need protection or will be exposed to Rule 5: Seby Zavala, Dylan Cease, Jordan Stephens, Spencer Adams, Kodi Medeiros, and Zach Thompson
  18. They tried to outright Smith and couldn't get him through. They need to add Seby Zavala to the 40-man. There's no way they could keep 4 catchers on the 40 man.
  19. They were headed to the lottery with their full compliment of players. They are headed for the top 5 of the lottery now. And that's fantastic for the franchise.
  20. Really? There is no chance. The 8th seed will win like 40 games, man. This Bulls team might not win 30. This is one of the very worst teams in the NBA. Especially without Dunn, Portis and Markkanen.
  21. Yeah I don't agree at all. I fully expect Jones to be back. I'll be very surprised if he's not.
  22. $4.65 million isn't really spending though. I don't think they have the space in that bullpen for another veteran addition anyway.
  23. They have a ton of $$ to spend. Using that amount on hoping Jones is healthy is fine. I also don't just assume that a guy will be definitely be injured. Spending $4.65 million to see if Jones is healthy enough to trade is a gamble worth taking.
  24. Marwin Gonzalez is going to get like $60 million. Joel Sherman today speculated that Nathan Eovaldi could get 4 years and $80 million. Some of these prices are way off IMO.
