The Bears gave the Patriots their 6th rounder back from the Bostic deal. It's basically Bostic and Bennett for a 4th rounder. This gives the Bears 5 picks in the first 127 and 6 of the first 150.

This story is dumb. Not only is LaRoche a giant baby, his relationship with his son is weird, almost cult like behavior. Where's LaRoches daughter? Does she go to school? Why isn't she in the clubhouse constantly?

Am I dick for disagreeing that he's a great father? Having your kid hangout in a baseball clubhouse and take standardized tests doesn't teach him anything. He's 14. And while I don't really agree with homeschooling either, he should be either home-schooled or at a school somewhere. It's just a really weird thing. Good riddance.

I think people need to stop acting like there's a competition. There really isn't. There is 1 roster spot available and it's for the bench IMO. Petricka or Putnam going on the DL could open a spot for Kahnle. Other than that, the rotation is in some order Sale/Quintana/Rodon/Latos/Danks. The bullpen looks like: Robertson/Jones/Duke/Putnam/Petricka/Jennings/Albers. An injury could open a spot. As far as position players go: Abreu/LaRoche/Lawrie/Frazier/Avila/Jackson/Eaton/Cabrera/Rollins/Saladino/Garcia/Navarro. That leaves one spot. It's probably Shuck as of now but I could see them claiming an excess OF from a team with a surplus and going with that person over Shuck.
