  1. It’s why I don’t think we need to see him in Charlotte. He’s going to destroy that league and not improve on the things he struggles with
  2. I reported 6 signings. They wanted Luis Morales. They missed. I’ll discuss what it means on the podcast
  3. I tweeted them last week. I’ll look
  4. Oh they absolutely might have. There are 7-8 Cuban prospects out there and Sox are only team with money in this period. Somehow, they had $2.5 million to offer Luis Morales but he went to Oakland instead. They do need a headliner but Reyes is a good prospect. I like this class much better than the Yolbert Sanchez one.
  5. No. But neither were Jose Rodriguez, Bryan Ramos, Lenyn Sosa or Cristian Mena
  6. I feel better about the class after seeing bonuses today. They should have $2.5 million or so available still however
  7. Interesting. Where is this from? Jesse Sanchez reported otherwise: *Teams will be allowed to trade international bonus slots during this signing period starting Jan. 15.
  8. Hanser Alberto kind of stinks and they don't really even need him in Charlotte
  9. I like this quite a bit for Detroit. Three big league contributors. Sands was good in upper minors. Vierling a solid platoon option with Meadows. Maton is the headliner though. Dombrowski should’ve kept his bench in tact and signed Matt Moore
  10. 4 win player that is younger than Romy Gonzalez is. The White Sox haven’t gotten 2 WAR at 2B since Tadahito Iguchi in 2006
  11. No because that isn't going to happen
  12. Luis Reyes is signing for $700K, Rafael Álvarez is $300K and Uribe is $200K. Not sure on the others but Sox should have like $3 million left. No idea what their plan is
  13. Here’s the international preview: https://soxmachine.com/2023/01/2022-2023-white-sox-international-signing-preview/
  14. Previous period ended on December 15th.
  15. Christian Saez and Raul Alvarez seem to be the most interesting. Francys Romero is a great follow
  16. There are multiple guys available or close to being available Preview should publish tomorrow. I don’t know much. 6 names. Luis Reyes has to be $1 million plus. His profile is very interesting. Alvarez is $300K and Uribe is $200K. RHP Luis Danys Morales is signing for like $3.5 million with Oakland. Sox offered him $2.5 million and said they’d trade for more space too accommodate. So they have at least $2.5 million
  17. Yeah this is important context.
  18. I understand what you're saying but this is much different. Ramos will be in AA. Sosa already destroyed AA. Rodriguez will likely be in Charlotte. Many have been successful and have been matriculating to the high minors. This is much different than it's been in quite some time
  19. Haha yeah. Sox love him. His name is pronounced Chap-aye-ee. It sneaks up on you.
  20. We stopped recording and I asked about Ryan Burrowes. BA loves him as do the Sox. He’s finishing up his schooling in Panama and heading to Arizona. He had good things about Arnold Prado and Godwin Bennett too. I wish we were still recording.
  21. Oh I don’t think anyone is penciling them in. A lot has to go right but they do have a bunch of talent. They absolutely can win the division. I don’t know that they’ll be considered favorites to do so though. There are better teams than them for sure. The best team in baseball finishes with the best record after 162. The winner of the tournament wins the World Series though. This year, the best team won the title. Philadelphia got there though. Atlanta won it in 2021. It happens. Get into the playoffs, variance sets in, professional athletes get hot and anything can happen because it’s such a small sample.
  22. Stop what? And what’s so funny?
  23. Nah man. If the Sox were in the AL East, I wouldn’t consider them contenders. They are in the Central though. Win the division, make the playoffs and anything can happen.
