  1. 11th rounder Jacob Burke gets $225K. $100K against pool
  2. I would trade Norge Vera as the headliner for Happ if that's possible. He's in A ball and probably finishes the year with like 50 innings as a 22-year-old. Happ is awesome
  3. Drew McDaniel of Ole Miss and Jacob Palisch (LHP) of Texas A&M could be interesting relievers.
  4. I'm pretty sure they'll sign all 20 but it is curious. They are all in Birmingham currently. Pallette and Cannon will be over slot and they may have a few on day three as well. I'm thinking Burke will be over $125K
  5. Here's my draft recap at FutureSox for those interested: https://soxmachine.com/futuresox/2022-white-sox-draft-recap-its-an-arms-race-for-mike-shirley/
  6. $6.2 million. Can go to $6.6. I’m guessing Schultz is slot. Pallette around $1.5 million, Cannon around $900K. Slot for 4 and 5. That’s about $6.2 million it seems
  7. I’m guessing 7-10 are like $10K signings. Pallette and Cannon are overslot but probably not by a ton. They’ll have some room tomorrow. I bet every player they draft tomorrow gets more money than anyone in rounds 7-10. Think of those guys as picks 17-20. It’s much easier that way.
  8. I doubt he'd sign for that and I think Schultz is probably slightly over slot
  9. Keith Law and Collazo have Snelling, Mayo and Callis have Toman/Gilbert and Longenhagen has Prielipp.
  10. Here’s my latest with Shirley quotes for those interested. Final mock tomorrow: https://soxmachine.com/general/flexibility-the-focus-for-mike-shirley-and-white-sox-in-2022-mlb-draft/ I think Brooks Lee is going 1. Line movement has been insane
  11. Just announced that UDFA can sign for any amount now once again. Anything over $125K counts against the pool
  12. They loved how Montgomery looked at the combine too. I have personally heard from a very, very plugged in person that the preference is pitching. The Tucker Toman smoke is real though. I don’t have an answer as to like, which pitchers they absolutely wouldn’t pass on. Toman or college pitching seems most likely but you have to stay flexible at 26 while remaining cognizant of your plans in rounds 2-20.
  13. Daniel Susac. In 2020, he had Crochet and Kelley. Also, the 2nd rounder here is Washington prep righty Jackson Cox
  14. If they can sign him, it’s a bargain at 26 if possible
  15. I just don’t think they can swing that. I heard $3 million ask on Toman. He’s in either first round around slot or probably not happening. He’s an LSU commit
  16. I'd be stunned if the White Sox could afford Cade Horton.
  17. I think it’s their preference. The pitching class is underrated imo
  18. This definitely feels like an inflection point with Ozzie and Stone breaking bad on Tony. Kenny being around is telling. He’d fire Tony if it were entirely his call. I don’t think anyone knows what will happen
  19. The draft is Sunday-Tuesday and the trade deadline soon after. Rick Hahn isn’t going anywhere.
