  1. Nah they really didn’t know. I honestly don’t even think his agent knew the extent. The ex reached out to MLB but there’s apparently no criminal complaint. Nothing would’ve come of this likely if she didn’t post what was posted today. It always comes back to Jerry though for sure. They had like &15-$16 million to spend and no prospects to trade. It’s how you end up dumpster diving constantly and hoping for bounce backs.
  2. They don’t. It’s actually the opposite according to the DV policy. I tweeted it earlier.
  3. You should receive an email from JJ Cooper
  4. Why is Bryan Ramos such a higher rated prospect than Lenyn Sosa? I’ve been puzzled all off-season by every publication.
  5. Braves are 30. Royals are 29. Athletics, Tigers and Angels are right before Sox. Brewers are at 13.
  6. Yeah agreed. They don’t get extra picks which hurts but they’d probably draft guys like Wes Kath and Andrew Dalquist with the picks anyway
  7. Baseball America sent out PDF’s to people who purchased the handbook. White Sox are ranked 28th which is obviously not great. Here’s the top 30: 1. Montgomery 2. Colas 3. Ramos 4. Schultz 5. Burke 6. Mena 7. Pallette 8. Vera 9. Rodriguez 10. Sosa 11. Cannon 12. Thompson 13. Simas 14. Kelley 15. McDougal 16. Cespedes 17. Veras 18. Kath 19. Sprinkle 20. Mieses 21. Stiever 22. Bilous 23. Burrowes 24. Yolbert 25. Tatum 26. Hernandez 27. Chapellí 28. Schweitzer 29. Dalquist 30. Hackenberg
  8. It’s why I don’t think we need to see him in Charlotte. He’s going to destroy that league and not improve on the things he struggles with
  9. I reported 6 signings. They wanted Luis Morales. They missed. I’ll discuss what it means on the podcast
  10. I tweeted them last week. I’ll look
  11. Oh they absolutely might have. There are 7-8 Cuban prospects out there and Sox are only team with money in this period. Somehow, they had $2.5 million to offer Luis Morales but he went to Oakland instead. They do need a headliner but Reyes is a good prospect. I like this class much better than the Yolbert Sanchez one.
  12. No. But neither were Jose Rodriguez, Bryan Ramos, Lenyn Sosa or Cristian Mena
  13. I feel better about the class after seeing bonuses today. They should have $2.5 million or so available still however
  14. Interesting. Where is this from? Jesse Sanchez reported otherwise: *Teams will be allowed to trade international bonus slots during this signing period starting Jan. 15.
  15. Hanser Alberto kind of stinks and they don't really even need him in Charlotte
  16. I like this quite a bit for Detroit. Three big league contributors. Sands was good in upper minors. Vierling a solid platoon option with Meadows. Maton is the headliner though. Dombrowski should’ve kept his bench in tact and signed Matt Moore
  17. 4 win player that is younger than Romy Gonzalez is. The White Sox haven’t gotten 2 WAR at 2B since Tadahito Iguchi in 2006
  18. No because that isn't going to happen
  19. Luis Reyes is signing for $700K, Rafael Álvarez is $300K and Uribe is $200K. Not sure on the others but Sox should have like $3 million left. No idea what their plan is
  20. Here’s the international preview: https://soxmachine.com/2023/01/2022-2023-white-sox-international-signing-preview/
  21. Previous period ended on December 15th.
  22. Christian Saez and Raul Alvarez seem to be the most interesting. Francys Romero is a great follow
  23. There are multiple guys available or close to being available Preview should publish tomorrow. I don’t know much. 6 names. Luis Reyes has to be $1 million plus. His profile is very interesting. Alvarez is $300K and Uribe is $200K. RHP Luis Danys Morales is signing for like $3.5 million with Oakland. Sox offered him $2.5 million and said they’d trade for more space too accommodate. So they have at least $2.5 million
