Sox trade INTL $ to LAD for two RHPs
I despised when they did it to get options paid. This is probably fine though. Two young arms that they know very well from their complex. The White Sox had like $1 million unspent. I’d like to know if they traded all of it or just a little bit.

I wish the Sox could just avoid letting all these guys pitch in Charlotte

Grade Rick Hahn's Trade Deadline Performance
I don’t agree with this second part. They would’ve traded anyone but Robert. Asking prices weren’t met. It’s tough to take much issue with that.

Grade Rick Hahn's Trade Deadline Performance
I don’t think giving a letter grade makes sense and I’m not sure who actually is in charge. The organization is in a significantly better spot right now than they were a month ago though. Very solid trade deadline

I'll say no but it depends on Birmingham

Giolito & Reynaldo to LAA. Update: Angels put on waivers
Rick Hahn deserves to be fired but he had nothing to do with not signing Manny Machado or Bryce Harper. Those are ownership decisions.

Giolito & Reynaldo to LAA. Update: Angels put on waivers
Good defense. Hitting .276/.384/.386 with a 113 wRC+ in AA. Walks at an 11.6% clip.

Disagree here actually. Hackenberg is changing the narrative right now. Definite prospect. Especially as a catcher.

Fire Rick Hahn
They didn't want to trade Tim Anderson and his owner and boss instructed him to add James Shields. Hahn meant rebuilding in regards to organizational direction I believe but I still wouldn't be surprised if Rick Hahn isn't the GM of the White Sox next year.

2023 MLB Draft thread
This puts the White Sox at $9,517,800. Just under the 5% overage total. Smart strategy.

I’m sure everyone goes to ACL for a tune up but most of college guys should be in Kanny. Gonzalez, Harris, Park, Nishida and maybe Galanie should all be in Kanny. Keener, Gordon, Peppers and Wright for sure.

2024 MLB Draft Order (Reverse Standings)
Large market clubs aren’t eligible to pick in the top 6 in consecutive years. It’s weird but the highest Washington can pick is 10th.

Good thing for Sox too is odds like go up regardless because Washington isn’t eligible for the lottery

Lucas Gordon is getting $300K. That puts the White Sox at $9,207,800 before the totals for Franklin, LaCombe and any other overages on day three. They can go to $9,526,000. They won't do that but they're definitely over the pool.

2023 MLB Draft thread
Right now, the White Sox are around $8.9 million spent. They can go to like $9.5 million. They've spent over every year but may not utilize it this season very much. Still need bonus for Lucas Gordon and Franklin plus any overages on day 3.

Rikuu Nishida will get $170K. $20K against pool.

He's in Kannapolis because that's where everyone is going to sign. My bad, guys. He'll be in ACL

I love that pick. Quick mover who can start. Bargain at that price IMO. This bonus leaves the Sox right around $1.6 million to play with. George Wolkow is signing officially tomorrow. He's in Kannapolis. I'm guessing he's getting close to $1 million. Gordon is probably $150-$200K. $10K or so for Franklin. That would allow them to do like $250K each for Nishida and LaCombe if they need to as well.
