Matt Spiegel is reporting that Joe McEwing and Darryl Boston are both gone. Sounds like Katz and Hasler are the only coaches returning.

The same thing is happening in this country regarding things that are much more important.

From what I know, the White Sox have interviewed lots of people. By design, we don’t know about them. Everyone has heard about Ozzie because of his kids and friends in the media. I don’t think we should believe that he’s some sort of front runner just because it’s public. I’d be really surprised if they hired Ozzie Guillen.

I'm guessing that there are concerns with him being able to get the most out of these players in regards to accountability. And Jerry hates Astros.

It was Goldy Simmons first year on the job after earning positive reviews working in the minors. He didn't have an off-season with these players due to the lockout. There was no chance that Simmons was getting fired after one season.

I think cancelling Soxfest had more to do with lack of space than anything else. This organization doesn't care about fan outrage. They never have.

Easy. He's tight with Rick Hahn, Jerry has heard of him and wouldn't have to hire someone he doesn't know that would potentially tell him how much of a shitshow his organization is and KW would like it because his son would receive an unearned promotion.

Joe Espada is a serious candidate for this job. If it ultimately ends up being him, it's going to be awhile. Would he even be hired prior to the GM meetings? Astros are probably going to the World Series.

I remember the bunts. I just think he'd be better this time and hopefully supported. I think he'd hold players accountable and I also think Moncada and TA would drastically improve their defense. Regardless of who they hire, if they don't hit for substantially more power, none of it matters. I just don't think Washington would be actively conspiring against organizational messages and such.
