White Sox Sell Thread
You guys are really suggesting a complete house cleaning. I’m on board. I’d hire the Guardians people. It’s just not happening though and is a huge waste of our time. Jerry Reinsdorf has no interest in hiring a new front office.

White Sox Sell Thread
It always humors me when this is suggested. They can launch Hahn. That would be fine. Then what though? Jeremy Haber as GM with Ken Williams’ tentacles remaining everywhere?

Luis Castillo to the Mariners
Yeah I’d be stunned if they sent him anywhere

Luis Castillo to the Mariners
Crochet would be my guess.

Luis Castillo to the Mariners
I don’t think so.

Trade Rumors Catch-all
I’d be surprised if they moved Montgomery right now, personally.

This is great from Dan Victor. I love Lally's stuff on Noah Schultz

Farm System Optimism
I’m hoping. Scouts like Yohemy Nolasco in ACL too. Maybe Paddy should target more pitchers.

Farm System Optimism
Most teams don’t pay for pitching on the international market. There are rarely many in the international top 30-50. Sox were really hurt by 2020. Prep pitchers taken in 2019 and 2020 and a five round draft. This years class should provide a jolt with some really interesting arms

Rumor: Sox Pursuing Jose Quintana
There’s a clear path to the division title this year though. I don’t believe there really was in 2016

Rumor: Sox Pursuing Jose Quintana
This isn’t true. It was months later.

Rumor: Sox Pursuing Jose Quintana
He shouldn’t be let off the hook. He did it. Making win now moves with a bad system for a very flawed quasi-contender constantly gets you in trouble though.

Rumor: Sox Pursuing Jose Quintana
Preller is a savage. Scouting back fields himself as a GM. It was a great get by them. Law put him in the top 100 based on some AZ scouts after he played games in Arizona and then he exploded. He didn't even play in games here

Rumor: Sox Pursuing Jose Quintana
AJ Preller is a wild man. He definitely deserves praise for that deal. He nailed it. When you're Rick Hahn though and you aren't trading top prospect Tim Anderson and Ken Williams and Jerry Reinsdorf insist on acquiring James Shields to bolster the rotation, trading a guy that appeared to be 3-4 years away if anything at all seems like pretty much the only option. The White Sox got murdered on that deal but when you run the team the way it was run then, I'm stunned it didn't happen more often.

Sox likely floated them to their spot with bonus numbers. Pallette wasn't just suddenly available at 62. He made a deal with the Sox. I just don't know what the exact number is.

Rumor: Sox Pursuing Jose Quintana
This isn't true. Nobody with the Sox really even saw Tatis playing in games. He was in DSL and on back fields in Arizona mostly. Paddy liked him but he was never projected to be anything close to this. He was like the 28th ranked international prospect in his class.

The White Sox pool is $6,289,100. They can go to $6,603,555. They currently appear to have about $2,475,655 left in the pool. That leaves plenty of room to give Peyton Pallette $1.5 million and Cannon something in the $800-$900K range. I think Brooks Baldwin might be over as well though.

11th rounder Jacob Burke gets $225K. $100K against pool

Trade Rumors Catch-all
I would trade Norge Vera as the headliner for Happ if that's possible. He's in A ball and probably finishes the year with like 50 innings as a 22-year-old. Happ is awesome

Drew McDaniel of Ole Miss and Jacob Palisch (LHP) of Texas A&M could be interesting relievers.

22 Draft signings thread
I'm pretty sure they'll sign all 20 but it is curious. They are all in Birmingham currently. Pallette and Cannon will be over slot and they may have a few on day three as well. I'm thinking Burke will be over $125K

2022 draft Day 3, rounds 11-20
$6.2 million. Can go to $6.6. I’m guessing Schultz is slot. Pallette around $1.5 million, Cannon around $900K. Slot for 4 and 5. That’s about $6.2 million it seems

2022 draft Day 2, rounds 3-10
I’m guessing 7-10 are like $10K signings. Pallette and Cannon are overslot but probably not by a ton. They’ll have some room tomorrow. I bet every player they draft tomorrow gets more money than anyone in rounds 7-10. Think of those guys as picks 17-20. It’s much easier that way.
