  1. Savings? Jerry Reinsdorf likely isn’t spending any money without playoff revenue. If they bring back Abreu, I think this is essentially the team again.
  2. I’d keep Eloy and Vaughn and let Abreu walk. That’s the solution
  3. Yeah I’m not a fan of this list. Lenyn Sosa is pretty much being undersold by everyone.

I’ve been tough on Sheets because he shouldn’t be playing the outfield but he’s better out there than Vaughn is and he has a 129 wRC+ vs righties since returning. He’s much better than Pollock too. I don’t see any of these guys from the minors producing like that. Garcia is horrible but isn’t going anywhere unfortunately.
  5. If you read James Fegan from today, it seems as if Joc Pederson and Andrew Chafin were targets. No idea why or how they couldn’t consummate those deals
  6. He’s the biggest dope of all though. Ken Williams and Rick Hahn are much better at their jobs than Reinsdorf’s track record of Sox owner. The fish stinks at the head and there’s nothing we can do
  7. Jerry Reinsdorf has no interest in hiring a new front office
  8. You guys are really suggesting a complete house cleaning. I’m on board. I’d hire the Guardians people. It’s just not happening though and is a huge waste of our time. Jerry Reinsdorf has no interest in hiring a new front office.
  9. It always humors me when this is suggested. They can launch Hahn. That would be fine. Then what though? Jeremy Haber as GM with Ken Williams’ tentacles remaining everywhere?
  10. Yeah I’d be stunned if they sent him anywhere
  11. Crochet would be my guess.
  12. I don’t think so.
  13. I’d be surprised if they moved Montgomery right now, personally.
  14. This is great from Dan Victor. I love Lally's stuff on Noah Schultz
  15. I’m hoping. Scouts like Yohemy Nolasco in ACL too. Maybe Paddy should target more pitchers.
  16. Most teams don’t pay for pitching on the international market. There are rarely many in the international top 30-50. Sox were really hurt by 2020. Prep pitchers taken in 2019 and 2020 and a five round draft. This years class should provide a jolt with some really interesting arms

    Nephew I believe
  18. There’s a clear path to the division title this year though. I don’t believe there really was in 2016
  19. This isn’t true. It was months later.
  20. He shouldn’t be let off the hook. He did it. Making win now moves with a bad system for a very flawed quasi-contender constantly gets you in trouble though.
  21. Preller is a savage. Scouting back fields himself as a GM. It was a great get by them. Law put him in the top 100 based on some AZ scouts after he played games in Arizona and then he exploded. He didn't even play in games here
  22. AJ Preller is a wild man. He definitely deserves praise for that deal. He nailed it. When you're Rick Hahn though and you aren't trading top prospect Tim Anderson and Ken Williams and Jerry Reinsdorf insist on acquiring James Shields to bolster the rotation, trading a guy that appeared to be 3-4 years away if anything at all seems like pretty much the only option. The White Sox got murdered on that deal but when you run the team the way it was run then, I'm stunned it didn't happen more often.
  23. Sox likely floated them to their spot with bonus numbers. Pallette wasn't just suddenly available at 62. He made a deal with the Sox. I just don't know what the exact number is.
  24. This isn't true. Nobody with the Sox really even saw Tatis playing in games. He was in DSL and on back fields in Arizona mostly. Paddy liked him but he was never projected to be anything close to this. He was like the 28th ranked international prospect in his class.
  25. The White Sox pool is $6,289,100. They can go to $6,603,555. They currently appear to have about $2,475,655 left in the pool. That leaves plenty of room to give Peyton Pallette $1.5 million and Cannon something in the $800-$900K range. I think Brooks Baldwin might be over as well though.
