  1. Seems like a really nice return. Teams are paying up for relievers. Got to hope we can get something decent for Kopech & Brebbia.
  2. Lasko (#5), Bush Jr (#12), and a Gonzalez (#8) to the Rays. Tampa super aggressive this deadline while Getz asleep at the wheel.
  3. Oh I fully agree, but even then, it’s absolutely ridiculous to suggest you’d need a premium to trade a guy under control for one more season within the division when you’re on pace for 120 losses. All that being said, we’re just over two days away from the deadline and will have a better sense if Getz knows what he’s doing or not at that time. But trying to pull off four or five trades on the final day would be a bad strategy, so hopefully something happens today or tomorrow.
  4. I think there is zero chance Fedde is here. Teams are desperate for SP and he will 100% be moved by Tuesday. He’s a durable dude and I don’t think taking him off his schedule for a start three days before the deadline makes sense. I’d put Crochet being moved at 30%. I took his agency going to the media to be a full on deal killer, but I think you have to look at this a bit like the NBA where you have this unique talent (a legit ace) and now may be your only chance to land him. Whether we like their talent, the Dodgers still seem like a real option. Robert I’d put at like 10%. This recent cold streak (with an insane K rate) isn’t going to do us any favors in convincing another club to pay up like he’s a 5 win player. Personally, I think he’s both a bit checked out at the plate and suffering from a lack of protection (there is just no reason to given him hittable pitches with this crew of terrible). The talent is still there and I think his performance immediately ascends the second he is traded, but probably won’t happen until at next deadline at this pace.
  5. The SP market hasn’t moved at all and we are one of the big players there. I just want to see the smaller pieces traded soon. No one is getting desperate for Pham and overpaying at the deadline. Might as well move guys like him before you run out of potential trade partners.
  6. Someone will trade for Pham and DeJong. Pham has a 141 wRC+ against LHP. DeJong is a cheap depth option at spots where there aren’t a lot of other options. We won’t get much for either, but lottery tickets should be incoming.
  7. Exactly. And the Guardians have multiple positional prospects that could be matches for Fedde. To purposely remove them from the equation is just plain dumb (again, assuming this is true in the first place).
  8. When I think about great clubhouse people, the first person who comes to mind is AJ. Combine that with all the experience he has and he’d make the perfect hire.
  9. This came from Bob’s latest column, but if true, Getz should be relieved of his duties immediately:
  10. Which could push the timeline of the rebuild multiple years.
  11. I have no idea why you hate Robert so much…absolutely bizarre
  12. Guys like Pham & DeJong you should be moving fast on before their markets dry up. Same with the relievers we have to a lesser extent. And Fedde is certainly a guy teams are interested in and one worth waiting on to maximize the return.
  13. I can’t believe Getz still hasn’t made a trade…
  14. I wouldn’t send him down now as punishment for leaking this to the media, but I don’t think there was anything unreasonable to kicking off his transition to SP in Charlotte and reclaiming a year of control back. But yes, it’s very possible that Getz is in over his head. He’s got a lot of players he should be moving and he should probably be one more of the proactive GMs so he doesn’t handcuff himself a bit at the end.
  15. If you’re paying that much for two months of a reliever, you might as well pair it with an impact CF like Robert.
  16. Angels get Klassen & Aldegheri which seems like a nice return
  17. Yeah, the returns so far seem pretty reasonable for buyers.
  18. A lot of movement and still no White Sox trades. Would have at least expected someone like Pham to have been dealt by now. Hopefully Getz knows what he is doing.
  19. Agustin Ramirez in the trade (Yankees #3 prospect per BA).
  20. No doubt, but far more interesting when paired with Pal’s comment.
