  1. Ramos a liability at 3B? Haven’t heard anything bad about his defense. Regardless, I don’t see him being the OD 3B…that will almost certainly be Rojas to start the year.
  2. My bad…I knew you were involved in the discussion, but clearly got your message wrong.
  3. These guys are legit the worst front office in the sport. Absolute imbeciles if they actually believe that a viable strategy.
  4. Is this confirmed or just looking this way? But if no moves are announced in the next 20 minutes or so, they should be immediately relieved of their duties. They literally have no plan and will likely continue just winging it into perpetual NBA hell. It’s a shame Michael Reinsdorf is completely & utterly useless.
  5. I think Balta may have made this claim…regardless, I don’t like when people use board generalizations when it was literally one dude who said something dumb. Almost all of us knew Alonso was going be capped, people just didn’t want to give up a pick for him.
  6. I’m not suggesting we sign him, my point was more that signing him right now was the definition of insanity and that’s even more true because if we really want him we can wait a year and not be penalized.
  7. Who said he would get a Prince Fielder contract? The only thing I recall was you saying you’d be ok giving him close to that amount.
  8. Yes, obviously you still need good luck in the lottery, but at the end of the day you need stars and those are hard to get when you pick 7th every year.
  9. He’s a potential free agent option a year from and won’t cost us a draft pick or international slot.
  10. The Lonzo deal is fine in isolation, but definitely concerned now thst AKME have no interest in tanking.
  11. One of the main insiders here has been suggesting fair value could be Robert + prospects for Lux…this certainly proves the floor right now is much higher.
  12. Even though I’m not super high on him, I will say it’s nice to see that the Reds were willing to include Arroyo in a Robert trade vs. this idea he basically has little to no value.
  13. Just think he’s a lower ceiling guy and I’d rather aim a bit higher given we’re just kicking off a rebuild. And yes, I’m aware that Crawford slaps the ball a lot and the defense hasn’t come together just yet, but I feel if it all clicks he’s a more impactful player than Arroyo.
  14. I totally get the concerns with Crawford and maybe his profile is too risky to be the sole return for Robert, but I’d much rather have him than something built around Arroyo.
  15. Apparently they are worried that Doncic is fat, lazy, and possibly an alcoholic, which means he may not age well and is a potential risky investment when at a super max cost. They also didn’t really negotiate with anyone else and allowed the Lakers GM to drive the cost down by embracing their fears. Seems like the Mavs’ GM simply overthought things and made what is likely a really bad trade.
  16. I’d adding four legit lineman this offseason. Potential long-term LT like Banks at #10, an interior line prospect with one of my 2nd round picks, and two interior lineman who are of the starting caliber in free agency. Ideally, one of those free agents is a legit stud who can actually anchor the line like Smith. That leaves some resource for the D-Line plus depth moves elsewhere. WR in particular is going to need some investment as we don’t really have a #3 at the moment. I know Johnson loves to use his RBs, but I think you can find a cheap alternative there. Would help if Cunningham could land the Jaguars’ GM job and get us an extra 3rd.
  17. Exactly my point. Not every target is going to hit obviously, but this dude could barely crack a blackhole in RF and now is gone a season later. No idea what they saw in him while with Seattle’s AAA team that changed so suddenly.
  18. I will say that I remain greatly concerned about Gene Watson leading our pro scouting group and this doesn’t make me feel any better.
  19. They are only getting two first round picks (only one more than us!), so not sure how much you think is going towards Fox and how much is to “absorb Zach”. The reality is Zach is a key part of Sacramento’s return, which is somehow worse than what the Bulls are getting IMO.
  20. The lack of a long-term plan is just astounding. I have more hope in the White Sox righting the ship than I do the Bulls. Michael Reinsdorf is just an absolute boob and this front office is an absolute joke.
  21. None of this will impact Jerry…that’s definitely true. But fans have every right to prioritize their limited entertainment dollars as they see fit. And right now, the Sox aren’t putting a product on the field that’s going to excite the fanbase. If fans want to voice their displeasure through their wallets then more power to them. I went to Sox Fest, I will go to four or five games, I will watch the team most days for the first couple months…but I ain’t committing to anything more than that until they give me good reason to. And I can assure you that I live & die for this wretched franchise and if anyone tries to tell me otherwise because my interest is currently at all time low then I will them to go F themselves.
  22. lol…glad you are the authority of who is and isn’t a White Sox fan.
