  1. I find it hard to believe they could afford Murakami at a $20M+ AAV after spending $11.5M on Lowe. They’d be approaching in salary after being at $85M last year.
  2. For those wondering what trade https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2025/12/astros-pirates-rays-discussing-three-team-trade-potentially-sending-brandon-lowe-to-pittsburgh-mike-burrows-to-houston.html
  3. Let’s hope so because if any club would have meaningful dollars laying around, it’s probably the White Sox.
  4. Yes, probably on his way to O’Hare as we speak.
  5. How did the Mets have this much space available?
  6. Per Ken Rosenthal:
  7. In all honesty, this probably is just insurance in the event they move Robert. This kid cost nothing but an immaterial amount of money and has options. I don’t think this prevents us from adding a corner OF.
  8. You think he’s going to get a $17M AAV now or better?
  9. @Y2Jimmy0 - What you hearing on the free agent and trade front for the Sox?
  10. I feel like once you burn Bannister or are deemed difficult to work with, you probably aren’t coming back as a pitcher to this org.
  11. It is, but I do actually believe we could be surprise suitors for Murakami.
  12. That’s called trolling my friend! Just trying to add some energy to board!
  13. Fully agree. A comp pick and a prospect would make sense. A guy at the back end of their top 10 but with upside / projection would be fantastic. James mentioned Levi Sterling but Wyatt Sanford would also be a fantastic option. Would have to throw in some cash to get that type of return though, but makes all the sense in the world.
  14. To be fair, I thought posting a Times of India article that simply references another article that’s already been discussed here would have been a dead giveaway this was a joke.
  15. Feels like he’s got to be one of the next relievers going off the board. Getz has made it abundantly clear they want to add a high leverage reliever, but I could see them go a bit cheaper here to help them afford a whale at 1B. That being said, I’d love to add this guy on a two year deal if it doesn’t impact broader plans. We haven’t done a great job of having tradable relievers at the deadline and have candidly left some value on the table.
  16. The Times of India is a serious news outlet unlike that AI slop Caulfield was posting!
  17. He had the freedom to make major capital expenditures in equipment, further build out our biomechanics group, and completely rehaul our analytics infrastructure?
  18. https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/sports/mlb/news/mlb-trade-rumors-white-sox-eye-power-upgrade-in-munetaka-murakami-as-experts-predict-bo-bichette-2b-transition/amp_articleshow/126060197.cms 👀
  19. Oh for sure…he was leaking it everywhere when he was still in the role.
  20. What’s funny is we now know with certainty that KW & Hahn hadn’t invested in the technology & analytics to have a successful player development function, yet many here seem to feel that’s all somehow Getz’s fault. We know the results from that function sucked during his tenure as its head…that is perfectly evident. And during that time I certainly blamed him for the poor results. But when seeing all the major infrastructure changes made since becoming GM, it’s easier to believe he was handcuffed by a pair of leaders above who have proven to be incompetent.
