  1. I'll be frank, if I was Quintana I'd slug a couple of the position players. Despite how bad our offense has been this year, I can't comprehend how he consistently gets 1 to 2 runs of support a game. Dude deserves way better.
  2. Bonifacio is absolutely terrible. I really loved his signing at the time, but he's shown nothing this year and Robin isn't even using him appropriately (not that it would likely matter). A complete waste of money.
  3. At the game, looked safe on the jumbo-tron. What do you guys think?
  4. Johnson with a monster of a start. Dude should be back on the radar at this point. Obviously our expectations should drop a little, but he should have a chance to fill that #5 very effectively once we can dump Danks on somebody.
  5. Rodon worked his ass off to keep us in this game, he definitely deserved the win tonight.
  6. Holy f***, that was much closer than it should have been.
  7. I swear to god, I will murder Flowers, Bonifacio, & whoever else couldn't help us get in a run with the bases loaded tonight if we lose this game.
  8. While four runs is obviously a nice lead, this team should be embarrassed if it can't score a run with bases loaded and no outs twice in a game.
  9. Bases loaded, two K's for Flowers tonight.
  10. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jun 9, 2015 -> 09:46 PM) Awesome!! Junior Guerra, get ready! If we get two more, then I'm cool with it.
  11. QUOTE (GreenSox @ Jun 9, 2015 -> 09:28 PM) Nice game by Montas, esp. against a lineup with 3 sure hall of famers, from what I read. I notice his K rate is down considerably, but he's still effective. I wonder if they're changing him in some sort of way. He could be working on a certain pitch.
  12. That's twice Soto has started walking to 1B to only to be called out on strikes.
  13. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 9, 2015 -> 08:56 PM) Has to be bearing DFA territory I think the only thing holding them back at this point is a lack of alternatives. Outside of Kottaras, who is a giant f***ing question mark, there doesn't appear to be another option in the entire system that has a chance of being an upgrade at this point.
  14. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 9, 2015 -> 08:55 PM) BUT fire Don Cooper, haha. Made all the more remarkable by playing 81 home games at one of the most "offense friendly" stadiums in baseball on an annual basis. It's almost like you would expect those results in Old Comiskey Park...but US Cellular Field, no freakin' way. Talk about anomalies. Of course the irony of those 2000-2006 offenses was the "all or nothing" nature of most of their outputs, but you had so many guys capable of hitting homers, KW felt that was at least more entertaining for the fanbase. Now what are we getting? WAR is park adjusted.
  15. This has got to be our best opportunity to score a run while Keuchel is pitching.
  16. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 9, 2015 -> 08:51 PM) Webb is up. Which is the right call IMO.
  17. Awful throw by Flowers there, luckily it won't matter. Also, great effort by Rodon tonight!!!
  18. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jun 9, 2015 -> 08:47 PM) I don't either but I still want to see him Given that this is still technically a winnable game, I'd rather give Webb an inning or two and see if the offense can actually score a run. I do want to see Geurra though, but nothing about tonight seems like the right time.
  19. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jun 9, 2015 -> 08:41 PM) I wanna see Junior! Not sure I like bringing him in for his major league debut in this game.
  20. Can Rodon at least start the 6th? I'm ok with him going 110 pitches.
  21. QUOTE (Baron @ Jun 9, 2015 -> 08:34 PM) It's going to have to happen eventually. Might as well be now. Especially at catcher. I agree, but who is available? If we make a trade for a catcher, it's got to be a guy who can fill the spot for multiple years.
  22. Here comes the thunder...$100 Tumbleweed jacks one right here.
  23. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 9, 2015 -> 08:25 PM) I'm more concerned about how in the world is Hahn going to improve this offense going forward He's going to have make some trades unfortunately. If they can hang around a bit longer, I fully expect Hahn to make a trade for a 3B or C using some prospects (with one of Montas or Danish being in the package). I really don't see another choice.
